I've been using Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream over Bubble's Plus One Tinted Mineral SPF 40 for "foundation" these past couple of weeks. The BB cream has been in my arsenal for many years; I love it by itself - no primer - and over any one of three mineral-only SPF products.
No pilling, smears or cakey junk. Just nice smooth skin with some staying power! Love the video!

I am a Bare Minerals girl original foundation powder. I have used it for years with the primer and the mineral veil. There are times I like to use a little of the illuminating bare minerals veil. What I have noticed in the past few years that the original Bare Minerals company has been sold a lot of products I loved have gone away or changed. I really hate Bare Minerals didn’t stay true to the original design because at one time it was highly rated the best makeup by the American Cancer Society because it was pure natural minerals. I am 63 and I really struggled to find the right foundation and lipstick. I have combination skin, I have very dry lips. The Bare Minerals Moxie lipstick was one that I could wear without it drying out and becoming caked and cracked on my lips.
Oh yes, for years, I used BareMinerals makeup exclusively! It was the only thing that didn't break me out and I felt like it gave me excellent sun protection. But after the company was sold, I didn't feel like it worked the same and they did discontinue so many great products!
I wear skin tint foundation in the summer cause it's hot and humid in Alabama.

I'm 67 and love the Dior foundation. You need so little product for a natural look that covers well. It looks perfect all day!

@@SharaleesBoxOfChocolates Sure thing! I’m a normal to dry skin gal. (used to be combo, thank you menopause 😵💫) So in the summer time, I use the Australian Gold sunscreen in medium to tan mixed with the Hawaiian Tropic mineral sunscreen SPF 50. That last one has a milky texture so it makes the Australian Gold less drying on my skin and adjusts the tint at the same time. Once that sets, I add just a smidge of l’Oreal Magic skin Beautifier in medium. I know, nothing new nor revolutionary but it works for me. 😊🤷🏻♀️

The Clinique is in my arsenal as well. 2 shades mixed usually. I might be a foundation junky! Bare minerals, Estée Lauder, Sephora (which is surprising nice) even Charlotte tilbury, my least favorite. You’d think with her slapping it on movie stars in the red carpet, it’d be a better foundation. But thanks for this! I use the same brushes, powders, sponges, all the things! Ok I’m a COSMETIC junky! 🤣🤣🤣

I have been wearing Elizabeth Arden for over 40 years.. I can’t seem to find anything else that actually fits me perfectly.. I also use the Powered.. I guess I’m still old school.. But I have to say you can wear anything and have beautiful skin. The color I use is Softly Beige..
I don't think I've ever tried either of those brands of foundations...will have to check them out😍

I love your videos. You are my favorite. Doll 10 and Dior forever are my faves. I recently tried a Dior sample of hydrating and was shocked how good it was on my combo skin. Have you tried it?

Thank you for the different foundation trials, I often mix colours together it works well especially if you use a damp sponge.
I use Rimmel products, not sure if you have them In USA but they are a reasonable priced. I have bought new powders but not found a setting spray.
We do have Rimmel but it's been awhile since I've tried any of their foundations. I will have to check them out again🥰
@@SharaleesBoxOfChocolates be interesting to see if you like the product now after time away from it. I use Rimmel primer and fix its good under makeup. I have been applying my foundation with a sponge it goes on so much easier. Not sure I understand the dry or damp though.
Always love your videos. I have never had huge pores, but unfortunately the older I get the more they appear. It makes my makeup look splotchy and I hate that. Do you think if I use the Clinique foundation and the Honest Beauty loose powder it would work for me.

I LOVE the Dior Forever Foundation. I'm 60 and I use the Forever Glow Foundation by Dior. It is wonderful and gives me great coverage with a dewy glow (which I love). I set it with my Huda Beauty Easy Bake and Lose Setting Powder. But I find that during the day, the coverage seems to be gone. Maybe I should switch to the Matte formula?
On the 2 L'Oréal ones do you mix on palette or just dot each shade on face?
Great question! I prefer to mix on a palette first then dot on the face. It ensures I get the right shade combo and an even distribution of both of the formulas😘

Very interesting! I would love to still be able to wear foundation without a primer, but several years ago I began having problems with breakouts without a primer. I have very sensitive skin and must be extremely careful in trying new foundations. At the moment I only use Estée Lauder’s Double Wear or L’Oreal’s Infallible 24 Hour. I prefer the Double Wear but since we’ve retired I wear the L’Oreal at home and save the Double Wear for other occasions. I need to watch this again and pay more attention to the powders you use - I might be better off if I tried some of those!

We're definitely on the same page, Sharalee, when it comes to foundations - oh wait, the ones I use are on your recommendations!! 😂 The Dior is truly divine. I agree that the longevity is excellent. I somehow always feel totally fabulous when I'm wearing my Dior! The Clinique is also a lovely foundation with great coverage but oh dear, I agree about the poor colours. I also have a yellow undertone to my skin like you BUT I am VERY fair. Even the palest warm or neutral shade looks ghastly on me, you know, that orangey-brown thing we're all trying to avoid! 😱 Really looking forward to the next video in this series! Serum foundations have not been good for me.
Do you ever use/try Lancome foundations. I’m older but that has worked well for me for years. I also mix the Lancôme foundations and have ones for winter and summer. You’re wonderful and I watch you religiously 💕💕💕

Hi Sharalee, I too use the Dior Matte Foundation. You might also want to try the Hourglass foundation. I couldn't believe you only need less than a pump for your entire face! It covers beautifully & lasts all day. Thank you so much for all the info.

I got the Tarte bb tinted sunscreen moisturizer and wowza do I love that!! I feel like it goes on like velvet. I definitely can’t be without that anymore!! The Clinique foundation looks amazing on you!! I used one of their foundations for years and it did an amazing job. I’ll have to try this one for when I need full coverage.

Do you ever find a foundation to oxidize after applying?
Yes, there are some foundations that oxidize on me but these don't. They say it has to do with how the formulas react to the oils of your skin.

What do you about sunscreen. Most only last 80 minutes so I reapply often but by end of day I have too many layers on. How do you handle re-application without looking too over layered
Unless I'm going to be out in the sun most of the day, I usually don't reapply. However, the best option for me has been the BareMinerals Mineral Veil powder with SPF25. That works fabulously as it doesn't add any coverage or cakeyness....just a veil of SPF! I know ColorScience also makes a powder spf that you can apply over makeup.

New subscriber. I'm 58. Your haircut was what initially got my attention. Love it! It's just what I've been looking for lately. I have combo/oily sensitive skin with rosacea, etc. I just went through a whole thing of finding a facial sunscreen that doesn't burn, etc. My research brought me to Supergoop mineral matte. (I can't use the unseen sunscreen. It seems all the sunscreens with those particular ingredients are the culprits.) I am loving it alone or as a primer. Yes, it does settle in my pores and lines, but I live with that knowing I'm protected. I want to try their cream to powder eyeshadow as well. I don't like the lip products at all. The taste isn't pleasant. I am currently using Jerome Alexander airbrush foundation. Looks flawless and only $20 on Amazon. My sister uses JA mascara kit and it is phenomenal! I'm going to check out some of your mentioned products. I am really enjoying your videos so far. Tysm.🎉
Welcome to my channel!💗 It's so crazy you mention your issues with the other Supergoop sunscreens...I had the same issues with all but the Mineral Matte Screen! I bought the Supergoop cream eyeshadow and it didn't work for me....creased like CRAZY and seemed to melt right off! But I actually have tried the JA airbrush foundation a few years ago and really enjoyed it! I may have to check out more of his products😘
@@SharaleesBoxOfChocolates Oh no! Thanks for the heads up! Sephora doesn't carry the eyeshadow anymore, so, no samples. I thought about the eye bright cream. I just want some day use spf for my eyelids that won't get into my eyes.
So interesting to learn about your favorite foundations. They all seem great. I just purchased Laura Geller Double Take Liquid Foundation. Trying this out. So far I like it. The wand sponge applicator is easy to use in dabbing makeup on face. Then I use my Eco tool brush I really like Laura Geller beauty products As always I’ll keep your favorites in mind. 🌷💗🌹💗🌸💗😘
So funny, I'm in the middle of testing the Laura Geller liquid foundation too! The shades are a struggle for me but the formula does seem great😍 I love so many of her products too!!♥️

Btw, did you have most of your highlights cut off with your most recent haircut? I love the dark and light contrast but that's a lot of blonde on the cutting room floor! 😮
Almay has been reliable for putting out good hypoallergenic eye makeup but I've also had good luck with Doll 10 eyeliners, shadows, etc. And yes, this was my last cut before I get highlights again....since I go 3 months between colorings, there's usually a pretty drastic change and my stylist didn't put as much blonde in this last time. Can't wait for my summer blonde again!🥰
