Boruto could have explored the gaps in the history that these characters had, in this way it would be a story more about ninjas and less about aliens and adding more to the lore.
That’s what I always felt boruto should have been. A super prodigy without biju and bloodline limits exploring the world to grow stronger adding more depth to the Naruto world instead of just fighting space aliens. For example exploring uziogakure and learning uzamaki fuinjutsu. Also the conflict should have been the pressure and impossible expectations that having a god level father and teacher put upon by others and even yourself instead of Naruto being a shit father.
I think telling about aliens is good, because at the end of the Naruto story we have shown that initially it was because of Kaguya (alient) that the earth was in chaos and because of Kaguya, humans in the Naruto world had power.

Who was the first 8 Gates User (cant be Might Duy, because, how did he knew the technique?)? Whats Madara's mangekyou sharingan hability (same goes for Rai and Fugaku)? Whats Delta's dojutsu name? Whats Gaara's, Orochimaru's and Jiraiya's clan?

Jashin is not Otsotsuki, his casual feat is to grant someone immortality, while other otsotsukis needs fruits to make their lifespans longer. So logicaly if a being can grant immortality it must iself be immortal/exist on higher plane. My theory is Jashin is like Primordial entity of chaos/destruction. He might be like Darkseid of narutoverse for what we know.
