    The first time I saw the new trailer, I said to myself..... Oh shit... That's Sarah Conner. Just imagine the memorable impact it had on an individuals that has embraced Terminator 2. I was six years old when I saw T2. So at 34 and understanding the changes of times and individuals look on life, I really appreciate seeing Sarah Conner after all these years.

      Truly iconic character transformation between 1 and 2....pulled off flawlessly by Hamilton...def agree she was majorly overlooked by the Academy, probably due to the movie's commercial mega success.

    I remember movies from the 70s when I was a kid and I've seen movies that were released prior to that era. Modern-day actors and actresses put way more effort into the roles they play. She basically said she didn't care about being in a five-star hotel. Her focus was on doing her part in making that movie the best it could be. I'm buying two tickets for two consecutive showings and the blue ray.

    Linda Hamilton really doesn't give herself enough credit. I mean there's many reason, why her character of Sarah Connor is so iconic, and of course it's because of the quality story and writting of her character, but (and it's not a small one) the way she brought her up to the screen, unapologetic raw female force, despite being terrifed (and that's a big one that's often missing for guy action movies that are appenrtly ever affraid of nothing, but then where is the courage hein. Sarah Conor is very reliable in way, Rippley too by the way (I'm not forgetting the mighty Sigourney Weaver) ). Anyway, the way she got physically implicated in her role was amazing and not to be seen again until very (VERY) recently with actresses like Charliz Theron in Atomic Blond (I mean the fight scene in this movie are just amazing!) or Alicia Vikander in the last Lara Croft (Amazing performance, very real feel, so ripped ! ), Even though there's been many "female action movies" they've never compared with her performance in the T movies, because there's always some (nay a lot of) holding back in female action movies because at the end, they put the looking pretty part above the credibility part wich is a shame, leaves a bitter taste for all of us who starve for true female warrior representation! It's not about being male or female, it's about what do you do when you have to survive, protect your loved ones, your beliefs, from a destructive force looking to anhilate you. Linda Hamilton, is the first female actress, to give us a taste of that. I'd even argue, that she's the first actor PERIOD to give us a sens of that, because of the humanity of her charater, pushing forward through palpable fear, something you rarely find in male action character). And the reason for me that her journey is especially significant, is the fact that she went from being chased and needed to be protected and saved, to taking her survival into her one hand, by training, getting prepared and that's what so amazing in T-2, is that she trew herself in that role, getting ripped and fluent with heavy weaponry, the contrast with the T-1 Sarah Conor is amazing ! and so inspiring and never seen before or again (wich is very sad). And now SHE DID IT AGAIN ! (love her so much for that ! comming back in her 60's still being a badass (cause sorry Linda but you already were), and bringing up to the next level, she's now the one doing the hunting! but still human. Linda hamilton and Sarah Conor are both very important and iconic characters each in they're own realm and we're very lucky that they found each other, cause as we've seen, it's pretty rare, but hopefully they'll inspire others (male and female and ... cause really it's about humanity in it's whole... )
    Anyway I was truly happy to see her comming back, she did an amazing work like always and the movie is really great, with a beautiful message !

    Linda Hamilton rocks! She needs to have some sort of cool TV show. That's where a lot of the good content is now, because you can develop the characters further than in just one feature film. Also great to see Hollywood casting more mature women. The world does not consist exclusively of 20-something year old girls.

    • @marshamariner7897
      @marshamariner7897 3 роки тому +1

      James Cameron said that to. The movies don't HV 60+ women in action roles. So true. And Sarah Conner is one of the best. Emilia Clark was good in t5. Linda couldn't be bin it. She was to old for THAT era of time travel. In t6 the opening scene is short enough for a younger version but not an ENTIRE 🎥 it's one of the best franchises ever. Ty to James Cameron for Terminatior and Titanic 🌎🌍🌹❤️

      She was amazing in terminator 2, but this new one looks like a stinker, just like all the ones after T2. This franchise needs to be put to sleep and maybe give Linda a chance and cast her in something good. It's a shame she never got many good roles after her amazing performance in T2. BTW, is that a young Linda as your profile picture?

    To Linda: Thanks for giving Sarah such a deserving bookend. T3 did not exist to me after I read that the mother of the leader of the human Resistance and original female badass died of cancer off screen...AND No James Cameron....NOPE! Still havent seen 'T3:ROTM'. I wish the public had been more receptive...we could have had a new trilogy! Be a writer if you want a hand in storyline...otherwise be a fan; this is an iconic actor's return to the role she originated. Not perfect, but not nearly as bad as people are making it out to be. They took a risk and opted for a new storyline with some new heroes. Knowing Cameron's ego, he probably suggested the killing of John anticipating the hard core fans would stay home, thus still giving him in fans minds "the only 2 valid Terminators"...however make no mistake...if this were a hit we would be hearing all about Cameron's involvement. I think he was lazy with this one because of his obsession with blue people, just my opinion. I know I am extremely needy about this, but in my defense T2 is one of my top 3 all time films and T1 is top 5.

    I don't think Terminator Dark Fate deserved the harsh criticism from certain fans. It was a very good action film and seeing Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger together again was worth the price of admission alone. It's too bad it was marketed as some kind of feminist film rather than a straight up action film. I think that turned a lot of people off.

    Dark Fate is an entertaining sci-fi action movie, but I have to be honest an say it is a TERRIBLE Terminator movie. BUT...you can not deny that both Linda and Arnold always bring their A-Game. They both had real strength of character and a presence on the screen, as they always do, and you get that feeling they are putting forth the appropriate effort in their craft (acting). I appreciate those two so much, especially in Dark Fate. But the movie really insulted me as a Terminator Fan. I was hoping with both of them on board it would be a return to glory...but Dark Fate is a woke agenda vehicle that fails. Sorry Arnie. Sorry Linda. You were both great in every single Terminator movie you were in, but the script/plot/direction (and agendas) failed you, not your acting.

    She should have stayed away from this project, they killed Terminator, this movie is totally messed up. It's sad very sad, Terminator is 1 & 2 that it. Please stop the carnage and don't do another Terminator. Leave this franchise alone.

    I could see talking about what training Linda went hru...for T2......; for the most recent installment, she looked like she got outta bed, and thru on some clothes....after a 10 year layoff.

    Let me be the first to dislike this video. She seems drunk or at least out of it some how and the interviewer is not listening and not worthy of my time. I wish I had never watched this.
