Just bought this over two weeks ago. 2SS without a sunroof. Just put the GM CAI on last week too. Still in the break in period. Can't wait until 1600 miles! I love this car. Thanks for posting this vid.
this is what makes manuals ten times more fun than an automatic. Yes, auto's are faster in the quarter mile. But whats fun about a consistent time that you can not make faster unless you upgrade your car. With the manual you can practice on shifting and launching better. I have a stock 1LE i've gotten 4.2/4.3 to 60mph. I'm definitely no expert. Theres plenty more room to go. Keep practicing. Try the quarter mile time. I've used it twice and got 12.7 and 12.8.
Can’t tell from the video but Incase you didn’t know there is also launch control as well as the no lift shift(that has been brought up by others). To initiate launch control you have to put it in: . Competitive Driving Mode is selected. . The vehicle is not moving. . The steering wheel is pointing straight. Manual Transmissions . The clutch is pressed and the vehicle is in 1 (First) gear. . The accelerator pedal is rapidly applied to wide open throttle. The Launch Control feature will initially limit engine speed as the driver rapidly applies the accelerator pedal to wide open throttle. Allow the engine rpm to stabilize. A smooth, quick release of the clutch, while maintaining the fully pressed accelerator pedal, will manage wheel slip.
Juan. Lega agreed that’s what Chevy says and I’m sure it can under the right conditions they prob had a professional driver, but I’m sure in the correct conditions an average joe could do it too
Hey man I just found your channel and I’m loving it so far, as far as overall feel in the drivers seat, which feels faster, your new 1LE Or your old Scat Pack Chally?
Nice vid. I love the 1LE, and in theory, am picking up a garnet one in about 4 weeks. But there is one thing I find a bit interesting, if not confusing. The 1SS 1LE is designed for track use, not strip use. Yes off the line acceleration is important, but if that's what one is focusing one (and I'm not saying you are) they should have saved $7k and gotten an SS with the auto gearbox. The 1LE is for road circuits, for handling, braking, as well as if not more than acceleration. Be that as it may... Keep the videos coming. -Cheers
Mister Geer True! But it’s still very capable from a dig and roll (in the right hands). I myself have done autocross and in August plan on doing a weekend session at Willow Springs, dragged raced 392 challengers-chargers, 5.0s and the 1le has no issues. I rather pay an extra 7k and have a machine that will be a surgical blade at the track and do some damage at the strip-roll as well. I also enjoy the crap out of my 1le on the back roads..
I agree the auto is much better for drag but I like a car that can do it all. The 1ss 1le is an incredible refined machine that will do well on pretty much everything.
You should try using no-lift when throwing 1st to 2nd, it should help shave a tenth or two. Great channel btw I recently subbed and enjoy your content 👍🏻.
I did 4.0 in my stock Lexus isf 😁

Artagain congrats on the car ! And thanks for the support

This car is technically capable of doing 0-60 in 4.1 seconds

4 seconds
The main reason the auto puts out quicker times is because its easier to launch. Just keep practicing, you'll get down in the low 4s soon!
Marcus McPherson the auto had like a 4.1 it def launches better but I love the manual that it takes skill to get that low time
Car Guy Chronicles I have a manual as well. Totally with you couldn't imagine driving this beast any other way!
Was that markham park?
Vanneker haha yes
@@GearhedzGarage haha I recognized just but the way it looks. I'm out there a lot. Used bike like every other day on trails.
I’m in FL also, between all the rain and extreme heat, I can’t find a good day to do a video like this
Solid Gold yea it’s tough with all the damn rain and heat but I do my best !
I think the rear tire might be too wide. 305 width on the rear and 285 on the front.

what type of radar do you have?
Manual trans is a little slower I think
Also, you can run it "no lift shift" too.

Oh, I completely agree! In fact it's more than capable at a lot of things. I was just saying how the auto is the better drag car.
Amen! It's kind of like a swiss-army-knife of performance.

Can you only do it 1st to 2nd?
@@ajiglesias8369 nope it’s for every gear
