There have been many incidents and crashes in this corner, that's what makes it great. Max didn't want to crash, neither did Lando. Still they did. Next.
Guys, many people here write whose mistake was this, Max or Lando, but as for me, they both went to it in the previous moments, let's just be happy that they gave us a beautiful fight for the victory and incredibly interesting ending
If Lando didn't drive that fast ,after the collision he wouldn't destroy his car , and like Max pit and take a few points . He showed lack of mental strength and self control in that case.
Max said after the race that: In all circumstances, he never turns the wheel once he hits the brakes (in the context of turning plus braking at the same time). He states he made a small trajectory correction to the left to cover off the dive bomb, then straightens the wheel, just before he applies brakes. He says he is still braking in a straight line from the reference point of the car (which he seems very confident that he likely prove from telemetry), but now this trajectory is no longer parallel to the track. Rules don't say anything about driving having to break parallel to the track lay out while defending. He said he will look at other footage and reconsider his view, but until then, Max didnt feel he did anything wrong.
It looked like he turned past the braking point (roughly the 100m sign). But until one of those youtube telemetry videos come out I won't know for sure. However it didn't look like he left a car's width, at least to me anyway.
Except in the aerial view you can see he's braking while moving to the right and then changes direction to the left. Did it multiple times during the race, not to mention he made a carreer out of this.
@@brulsmurf Nothing going on like repeatedly moving around in the braking zone. Lando warned of this several times but of course stewards will look the other way. The Orange army is bringing in too much money. News brief this Verstappen actually has no racecraft and he masks it with his speed. You can see it in 2021 when Lewis was racing circles around him. Why are you lying in the comments of the video showing that he didnt turn in. Like literally just put the video in slowmo at 0:06 seconds and you can see that he never does that.
Nobody turned on anyone Max positions tha car at an angle before the corner which look like he is turning but in fact he just drive straight (you can see that from videos above the cars) his fault was tha he didn't check where lando is and lando fault was excessive speed and impatiens. Also i mentioned this a fen times on other videos why lando hit the gas and bumped his front righ tire in to maxs car this was very bad for the suspension and this costed him the race the most, you can see his steering was not straight after that.
As his Engineer I would expect him to be devastated that he was just taken out of a race he was about to win first. He can apologise later after we clear this up. He should have won in the car I gave him, that’s okay for me.
I don't know how any1 can like Lando. Max on the other hand has a wheel without tyre, just ploughs on and gets 5th place before Perez. Max pushed him off initially, but Lando dug back in and caused the second contact almost purposefully, so whatever. This is always how Max races, but I wouldn’t take myself out over it. You can't use a previous move to justify a later incident , this is an amateur take. Yes he dived bombed but in no way did he cause an incident, and a lot of other drivers did the same during the race. Last incident Max's fault, clear as day. I don't care for either driver either
Yes, Max left plenty of space and Norris went full straight without any attempt to avoid contact... 2022-2023 Max went all the way on the curbs to not crash with Leclerc-Sainz, so no problem.
I thought this was Max’s fault but it actually looks like he left plenty of space on the outside. Most drivers usually barely leave room 2 wheels on a good day. There was a whole car width on the left for Lando. Lando last week intentionally squeezed Max onto the grass, that was way more aggressive than this.
@kangarht yes and he got penalised for it, but it's whether lando could have avoided the collision which he easily could, same as max did the previous week and the same as 2023 when leclarc squeezed him to the point half his car was outside the line. It's not about fault, but avoiding collision.

I dont quite understand why Lando did not take the curb here, if he was planning on a switch back, he should go more on the curb to have a wider entrance, and that is almost how every driver turn in for T3
Finally somebody that know how to race. I don’t know what the intention of landing was here. Was he trying to go around the outside ? Against max ?
He is entitled to drive that line however he pleases. Max moved to the inside and he took the outside, he was entitled to that line. They were side by side as they approached the apex. It's Max's fault. But that said, you're right, and I'm not convinced Lando would have passed him in this corner even if there was no contact, which makes Max crashing into him even more stupid.
@@rt-uh6mt those are not the rules for driving on the outside line, those are the rules for driving the inside line.
the rule is you have to give a car enough space between you and the white line. Poor Lando
If Lando didn't drive that fast ,after the collision he wouldn't destroy his car , and like Max pit and take a few points .
He showed lack of mental strength and self control in that case.
🤦♂
Lando needs to wreck at the top quite a few more races to truly get it dialed in is what you're saying?
Max mentally broke him this race.
And if he had stopped that car there would have been a safety car, which would have hurt Max with his 10 second penalty a lot.
@@janvisser4132 Exactly!
Max said after the race that:
In all circumstances, he never turns the wheel once he hits the brakes (in the context of turning plus braking at the same time).
Sky pad says different!.
Meanwhile Lando demanded an apology from Max 😂
It looked like he turned past the braking point (roughly the 100m sign). But until one of those youtube telemetry videos come out I won't know for sure. However it didn't look like he left a car's width, at least to me anyway.

Why are you lying in the comments of the video showing that he didnt turn in. Like literally just put the video in slowmo at 0:06 seconds and you can see that he never does that.
I think you must be referring to a different video coz it’s pretty clear max turned in on him and lando hadn’t turned the wheel when that happened
Wow leave it to Crashstappen fans to blatantly lie to defend a guy who would crash his own mother if she tried to overtake.
Well, it’s a fact that Lando already had a 5 second penalty for track limits … so he probably wouldn’t have won the race no matter what
Nobody turned on anyone Max positions tha car at an angle before the corner which look like he is turning but in fact he just drive straight (you can see that from videos above the cars) his fault was tha he didn't check where lando is and lando fault was excessive speed and impatiens. Also i mentioned this a fen times on other videos why lando hit the gas and bumped his front righ tire in to maxs car this was very bad for the suspension and this costed him the race the most, you can see his steering was not straight after that.
What about Max's onboard? Why is no one showing that?

Max pushed him off initially, but Lando dug back in and caused the second contact almost purposefully, so whatever. This is always how Max races, but I wouldn’t take myself out over it. Max has a “back off or we both crash” mentality and the governing body will probably start considering acts like this even more punishable than a ten second, zero-point penalty.

I thought this was Max’s fault but it actually looks like he left plenty of space on the outside. Most drivers usually barely leave room 2 wheels on a good day.
