Unguarded belts and pulley drives on what looks like some kind of multiple slabbing saw. In that place you really have to watch out!

It must take some serious horsepower to run that big slurry saw! I wonder how often they have to change belts? I used to work in a factory that made radio crystals, and we had miniature versions of those slurry saws that cut the raw crystal wafers for further processing.😉

I'm assuming the big machine at the beginning was a multi blade "hacksaw". Unfortunately we never saw how it cut, moving the blades down or the stock up. Just showed of watery sludge coming off the top. Quite the setup. The sixteen router head machine wasn't being used very efficiently since the stock was oriented "portrayed" instead of "landscape". Could have processed two sheets at the same time but I guess they know what they're doing. Somewhere in India?

I can see the need for thick blades in those bread (stone) slicers, but what do they do with all that powdered marble & sandstone (the cut "waste")? Is it glued & formed into a synthetic offering?

@@Amazing_process Wood cutting yields sawdust. For stone the dust is stone dust. Judging by the cuts it can be as much as 50% of the raw stock. Does that get filtered out from the cutting water, dried out, glued together & sold as a synthetic/ composite stone? ...e.g.: faux marble.
