    Virtually every microSD card comes with a full sized adapter. Most of us probably have a dozen around the house. By having the full size port, it opens up more options for folks that still have full sized cards to be able to use them. I would say that is an upgrade. Not sure why having more options would be a downgrade? Thanks for the vid. :)

    Thank you for the nice instructional video! I've been looking into security cameras that won't break the bank, to monitor my driveway after I had my Jeeps rear windshield smashed twice in the past three months. A friend suggested a trail cam and this looks like a great option. I like that I can tie it to a tree or my fence where I can easily reach it instead of drilling holes into my house.

    Thank you for providing day and night, photos and videos with sound. Just an FYI, the pictures are likely 5MP (the size of the sensor) at most and upscaled to 20MP. There is not a 20MP sensor in the camera. You're better off setting the camera to 5MP and if you need a larger file, (not sure why you would), do so in the computer. It seems like a lot of these Chinese trail cameras suffer from over-exposure at close range. I've owned a lot of trail cameras and the full-size SD card is a huge plus. I've lost several microSD cards in the ground cover over the years - along with all of the pictures. They can also be a PITA to get in and out of the camera. MicroSD was never meant to be a removable media whereas SD was. If you want to use microSD, almost every one sold comes with a full-size adapter.

    This might sound like a petty question but all references to the wifi and app feature say “phone”. I don’t have a cell phone..but I have an iPad.
    Can you tell me the exact name of the app I would have to download so I can see if the Apple Store has it for iPads? Thank you.
    P.S. If anyone already knows, yea or nay, that it works on iPads that would be just as helpful. Great video!! I want one of these cameras to capture wildlife coming to my feeders.

      Sorry for the delay and thank you for the support. The app on android is called Hunting 4K. Other than app sizing (which would be the only reason I could think it may not work on an ipad), there is a chance it could work. But as long as the app works there is no other reason it wouldn't work on an iPad. I hope this helps!

    I bought this camera to help us find our missing cat. People in a nearby neighborhood have reported seeing her, but we can't be sure. I was hoping to use this camera to see if the cat visiting this location is her, but the camera will be at least 575 meters away from my phone. Is there a way this camera can be used without the wifi for recording photos and video, then connecting to it later to replay the videos and photos? Or, will I need to sit in my car day and night recording with my phone through the camera? I can't seem to find an answer to this.

    I just set mine up and had a problem with maintaining the wifi connection. Then I found a setting on the camera "Wifi disconnect", with a choice of 1min, 2mins and 3 minutes. It seems to mean that you need to re-establish wifi after 3 mins max, and this has to be done at the camera itself. This is a bummer, since I hoped to leave the camera in place and control everything from my phone (which you can do, but only for a maximum of 3 minutes.) For instance, I hoped to access the camera by wifi from the house in the morning to see what happened overnight. If I have to go outside to the camera every morning to re-establish wifi, then that's not what I was hoping for. Please tell me if I got this wrong, or if there is a work-around?

    • @brianstuart1867
      @brianstuart1867 4 роки тому +2

      OK, I think I have this figured out. Using the app on your phone, you can't connect to the wifi at first because it's not turned on in the camera. But you don't (as I previously thought) need to go to the camera. When opening the app, the first screen has the option to turn on bluetooth. Tap it. The app will then look for the camera (which you can rename). When the camera name is found, tap on it, and that will awaken the wifi on the camera
      . At this point you're prompted to go back to settings and select the Campark wifi on your phone. After you do that, go back to the app, and connect to the camera's wifi. Once wifi connection is established, you can view photos and videos from the camera (device), and also download then to your phone (local) both within the app. You can also change camera settings remotely by tapping on the cogwheel.
      NOTE: My whole idea had been to operate the camera and view/download pictures without leaving the house. I have now found that this IS possible, but only if the camera is located fairly close. 30 feet seems to be about the limit for connectivity. If you're planning to place the camera in the wild, then you'll have to get within 30ft to access everything with your phone.

    This my first time setting up a camera. The set-up portion went too fast and had very little explanation, just punching buttons, then was all set-up. Part of time phone was in the video when it would have been nice to see what was happening with the camera. Got some good stuff from this, but definitely after spending 1/2 hour I expected to have the camera all set-up and ready to mount outside. Now I'm going to look for a more thorough, less herky jerky, presentation.

    What I don't understand is how to make the camera only capture something when the sensors go off. • @trisgod2011

    I noticed that when you tried to set up WiFi while standing in front of the camera, you did not use the little remote control. The only thing it can do is enable (on) and disable (off) the WiFi hotspot on the camera without having to open the device and go into the setup. So I think that's really helpful. And of course you would use the remote when you're inside and want to know what your camera sees at this specific moment, or take pictures or videos manually with the app.

Be aware that the IR only triggers when it is dark and has detected movement. If IR is enabled and it's not triggering the light to turn on, then unfortunately there may be an issue with the unit. As long as the wifi on the camera is constantly on, and your phone is set to reconnect to a wifi network when it becomes available, you shouldn't have to reconnect each time. If you set your phone to save that wifi network, when it comes into range, it should reconnect automatically. Through the app you will have to have it connect, which is one click. Can you record on the camera without WiFi?

    • @ParksNTech
      @ParksNTech  4 роки тому

      Yes. You do not need wifi to use this device. It's just a feature it has. You can set it to record when motion is detected for a period of time you choose. Hope this helps 😃👍

      @@ParksNTech How do you do that? I can't find the function of motion detection. I set mine up last night and didn't catch anything...and I know the area is active at times.

    good, but 75% of it could have been edited out. Don't need to see you putting batteries in.

      Thanks for the support and your feedback. I just replied to a comment that said I didn't give a thorough enough explanation, haha. I can't win them all. Anyhow, I really do appreciate your support and comments 👍😃

    The part about connecting to WiFi (16:32) is horrible! Not helpful at all. It fails to show what needs to be done to connect. Viewers needed to see the trail cam screen but that was cut out of view. The reviewer's comments/instructions could have been more helpful in this section. Frustrating!

    This camera is an expensive pile of crap. I've got two of them. They throw a good IR flood, and have a decent picture up close, but you're not going to get an real details unless the object is 2 feet in front of the camera though. This camera will not activate unless movement is very, VERY close to it. In addition to this thing only picking up movement right in front of it, the camera is sporadic at best. Sometimes it captures things and a lot of the time it misses things, even if it is right in front of it. What good is a camera if it won't capture things. The wifi feature, pshh it's crap. You have to be 10 feet away to activate the wifi feature to be able to view the footage. Buy a pallet of batteries because this thing goes through them. The strap, will crumble in your hands if you have it out in the elements, your camera is going to fall to the ground. And the app, damn, I'm getting tired of talking about it.

      You have a very strong opinion of this camera. Which is fine, to each their own. I'm sorry your experience with this camera was not a good one. Maybe you got some defective units? I only ask because I have not experienced the same things.

      Oh I forgot something that is pertinent. These cameras don’t trigger until something has come and most of the time gone out of frame. Several seconds after there’s motion, then it trips. I mean on the good days when they actually work.
      I wish I would have known all of this before hand. I have several other cheap cameras. They consistently work better than these cameras here and they were about half the price. Plus the camo, was green too much money. You can see these things a mile away unless you’re in the desert.
