hi can I ask you regarding the self assestment, it put some subjects under my course and it required me to upload transcript... do I need to upload the same transcript for all of the subject? Because I only have the full official transcripts
Hihi, I uploaded the full official transcript for every subject. As long as that subject is listed inside.
Are the documents photocopied with colours to be stamped?
Colours don't matter. As long as it's a scanned copy with a stamp on it.
Hi...may I know the approval by IR can carried out online or should in stamping harcopy?
Hi Yoke Qi, it could be a scanned softcopy of stamped hardcopy document. I do not know if IR has digital stamps/approvals, if they do, I believe it will be acceptable.

Hi, May I know if I can use my temporary transcript to apply for GE?
I'd suggest to better wait for the actual transcript and apply for it. It's not worth wasting the effort and get rejected few months later.
Hello, Yang. Since today is in year 2023. Is it the BEM registration is still the same which need a stamp those document by IR? Reply me would help a lot :)
Hi Georgina, the requirements hasn't changed in year 2023. Get the stamp from any IR around you, they are very likely glad to help out!

Another question, Ms Yang. I not graduate yet and I will be graduating in November 2023 but my university has provide me a study completion letter. Do I have to wait my graduate certificate after convocation or is it possible that I can use study completion letter to register BEM?

I'm not pursuing Ir. at the moment as I've yet to see its impact and significance as an engineer in Malaysia. But definitely would share if I did. Good luck on your journey to pursue Ir. :)

Hi Ida, we don't need to submit hardcopy as far as from my experience.
What benifits we will get if register as a Graduate Engineer? Is it a must for who work as enigineer in Malaysia? How about overseas degree?
No significant benefits, but it helps if you intend to pursue to be professional engineer. It is not compulsory as most employers do not emphasize it as requirement.
Overseas degree is possible too if it fulfill this requirement: the degree is accredited by EAC Malaysia or by a Professional body who is a signatory of Washington Accord.

As long as your degree is accredited by any of these body, you are eligible.
Mandatory to register as GE if you practice engineering. Is an ACT REA1967 requirements.

Hi.. May I know whether there's any Master Course out there that I can take to be qualified to register in BEM? I'm asking this because my Degree that I had graduated years ago was not in Engineering Field. I was an Applied Science postgraduate..
Hi! I'm not too sure about this, but as far as I know you will need an engineering degree to register as a graduate engineer. Another accepted degree is Degree in Engineering Technology. Applied science is not eligible. Hope others could correct me if I got my facts wrong about this one.
@@yanyinglim B.Eng of Electrical & Electronic, but rejected by BEM, must washington accord. I dun know B.Eng of Electrical & Electronics under sdyney or dublin. Im a A4 chargeman, otw to BO chargeman 11KV. Hope can get JEK in future, P.Eng or PCEP mayb. According to BEM, Master degree is a must to be a BEM GE. My nex level will be Energy Manager or B4 33KV. It is possible to gek JEK before BEM Graduated Engineer ?

If I only have a diploma but no degree, can I register for BEM as well?
Unfortunately not for graduate engineer. It has to be one of the degree couses from this list

However you may qualify to apply for other things such is Inspector of Works and etc. that accepts Diploma.

You'll have to ask your lecturers who has an IR or professionals in your workplace who has IR. It's more common to encounter IR in construction and engineering consultancy firms.

Software engineering unfortunately is not one of the core courses in the list. I believe software engineering is more inclined to the direction of IT and computer science.
