i’d usually do a ton of dry shampoo after a workout and switch to washing every 3 days instead of every week (i’ve got curly hair so my routine is diff) so just up your frequency for health reasons! also use less shampoo your hair will get used to it ♥️
For Carly and your sweaty workout hair: I highly suggest just blow drying your hair after a workout like just around the scalp. Maybe a little spritz of dry shampoo as well. Hope that helps! 💕

We make our shakes with our own vanilla ice cream that comes out of soft serve machine and then we add ground ghirardelli chocolate to make our chocolate shake and I think you would love it. It’s basically the same concept as your favorite dessert. There also so many other things you can add or do that I think you would love!! 😊
Carly! :) You should use baby shampoo after workouts- it is much gentle with your hair and it takes out that oiliness that comes with sweat. I used to do that when I had CrossFit.

Carly a sweatband makes it so that the sweat doesn’t get in ur face, so in the end it will get more sweat in your hair. Maybe try a cooling pack on your neck while working out?

Haha yes, our states are huge! Different time zones and very different weather across the country. Some states have both snow and sunny warm weather too.
We used to do ice cream like you, including the mushing up, but instead of hot chocolate we used milo, which is more chocolate malt (not sure if you can get it in the USA though or just an Aussie thing)

my family’s frozen hot chocolate recipe is hot chocolate mix with chocolate chip ice cream and ice and some milk then you blend it in a blender. it’s like an ice cream and smoothie it’s amazing and sometimes we top it off with whip cream and marsmellows

It’s a little bit pricey but it genuinely cleans and refreshes my hair where I’m able to use a little bit each day between washes to keep it clean looking because I workout every day! I used to use the other cheaper brands which were okay but have never actually cleaned my hair like the living proof dry shampoo does! I am able to go 3-4 days without washing it now
Erin, you have to try using Ovaltine (the “rich chocolate” one in a blue container is the best) with vanilla ice cream! It’s sooo good! Same concept as the hot chocolate, but tastes like a malted milkshake! 😋

Ppl with 4a-4c hair which is usually coils wash there hair at most every 2 weeks. Sometimes they go longer depending on the style. Our hair doesn’t get oily like thinner textures. Just a little tid bit lol

Suggestion, instead of washing your hair still get it wet and do a co-wash! It's a curly girl method but I think this could help! Here is how: Get hair wet like you would wash it, but only put some conditioner on your ends, get one of those scalp scrubbers you see everywhere and use that on the back of your scalp/head and that will help rinse out the grease and dirt but you don't have to wash it. Air dry if you can and you're fresh again without having to strip your hair everyday with washing!

Idk it’s just super comforting knowing you all have the same struggles yet are successful in careers and relationships. You feel like friends so it would just be awesome to hear if that’s something you’re comfortable sharing. Love y’all
It’s weird because I could never be those people to “go to the gym” on my lunch break and not look like a mess after from sweating. I used to wash and blow out the front and sometimes bottom layer of my hair (barely) and use dry shampoo around the crown of my hair.... it’s a struggle but no bands help my scalp sweat. 🤷🏽♀️ Also yesss to the chili garlic sauce! Throw that ish with chicken veggies and garlic and it’s like a stir fry
I love doing the hot chocolate powder/ice cream mix!! I’ve done it since I was a kid too :)) if we don’t have hot chocolate powder I use just straight up cocoa powder and it tastes amazing too!
About the whole hair thing and working out, what I usually do it work out, wash my hair super super good and I use an anti dandruff shampoo to kill as much bacteria as I can and then my normal shampoo, and then I will wear my hair down that day and then the next day I'll work out and then usually just wear my hair in a pony tail that day and then the next day I do french braids and then the next day I wash it again. It sucks if you like to wear your hair down all the time though:(
Carly, there’s nothing inherently wrong or unhealthy about pasta. It’s just very calorie dense so it should be limited if you’re watching your calorie intake. And it has a lot of carbs, but that is really only an issue if you’re diabetic. The only other issue with it would be the gluten, but that won’t harm you if you’re not celiac. Chickpeas have a ton of carbs and are calorie dense as well, so it’s not much different from regular pasta. It does have a lot more fiber and protein though, which is good. Other than that.. please don’t worry about pasta being “unhealthy.”
My sisters and I have always done that with ice cream too, except we always used nesquick. I still do this but usually don’t even mix it bc I like how it tastes and the texture better 🤷🏼♀️

Carly I have the same problem with my hair when working out! I usually do a co-wash in between regular washes. It’s when you wash your hair like how you would with shampoo but with just conditioner. I just wet all of my hair and scrub my scalp then use conditioner. It gets that grimy sweaty feeling out without really washing your hair with shampoo.
Carly I have the same "problem" as you. I work out 5-6 times weekly and I always sweat in my hair and face. I also have very thin blonde hair so if it's greasy you see it right away! I always wash my hair with a shampoo bar (better for the environment, less bad ingredients for the hair) every two days. The other days I just wash my hair just with water. :)
Oooo the ice cream hot chocolate thing, have you tried using the nesquik strawberry powder with it? That seems like it would also be good. I must try both!
No life hacks for avoiding sweating short of not working out at all, just washing your hair is really the only answer when you’re working out regularly. Not an expert by any means but if you’re not washing daily because keeping your hair healthy and not dried out is your concern, I’ve found using a nickel sized amount of quality hair oil after toweling my hair in place of conditioner does wonders. Also a HUGE fan of Aveda’s phomollient, idk what they put in it but it makes my hair so nice for days. Highly recommended.
Carly washing your hair every day or every other day isn’t bad as long as you get shampoos and conditioners that matched the pH of your hair so that they don’t dry out your scalp or hair! I workout every morning and wash my hair every other day unless it gets really sweaty because hair sweat won’t ever smell or feel gross as long as you just put your hair up and let the hair on the back of your neck dry! Also I live like 30 minutes away from powder mtn and I love the utah love💛
carly if you can find a local asian store near you they most likely will be selling the big bottle of the sambol hot sauce for a cheaper price! that goes for sriracha and any asian ingredient too the prices usually get upped at non asian stores! :)

Carly! Baby powder in your hair after you work out! It helps dry the sweat and makes it look less greasy. Works good for me. Kinda similar to a dry shampoo but way better for your hair and cheaper. In my opinion
Carly, I have the exact same problem with drinking coffee. Idk why but it gives me a headache, makes me tired, lose my appetite, and almost makes me feel numb. It's the main reason why I don't drink coffee anymore but I drink chai latte as an alternative.

I've done the chocolate mix for years. I didn't have any choc. syrup for my ice cream & used some choc. powder mix & it was a winner!!!! Yea!!!!

Carly! Baby powder in your hair after you work out! It helps dry the sweat and makes it look less greasy. Works good for me. Kinda similar to a dry shampoo but way better for your hair and cheaper. In my opinion
when I workout and don't need to washmy hair I just rinse it with water! works so well to make you feel better
Carly, I have the exact same problem with drinking coffee. Idk why but it gives me a headache, makes me tired, lose my appetite, and almost makes me feel numb. It's the main reason why I don't drink coffee anymore but I drink chai latte as an alternative.
