Pretty insulting to see as someone who's been away from home for Air Force training for more than two years now. To put things into perspective, I was away for only two months at Officer Training School, and I came back home and told my girlfriend at the time that I loved her for the first time. She cried [genuinely], and told me she wished she could say the same. Little did I know is that during that brief period, she had gotten intimate with a coworker. I know their dress is very different (if that's the right term for their ceremonial wear), but the uniform itself is based on color. As the girlfriend of a marine recruit, I can confirm; after discussing with a psychic from Thailand (not IN Thailand because we’re broke) that told me he was going to do something big, he enlisted and left me with his cat who is confused but could really care less. Pretty insulting to see as someone who's been away from home for Air Force training for more than two years now. To put things into perspective, I was away for only two months at Officer Training School, and I came back home and told my girlfriend at the time that I loved her for the first time. She cried [genuinely], and told me she wished she could say the same. Little did I know is that during that brief period, she had gotten intimate with a coworker. And meanwhile these toolbags are pulling these pranks and making these clueless comments?

My brother has been in the Air Force for 2 years now, and he was almost killed in a gunfight at only 19 years old. I absolutely hate these, because it's so stressful and scary to hear that your brother was almost killed, but these people can just make a joke "haha military funny." Thank you for your service, and I'm sorry for what you have had to deal with. I understand it, not from that perspective, but as the family he's been away from.

I think it has something to do with the patterns on the uniform itself maybe? I'm gonna look it up and update

I know their dress is very different (if that's the right term for their ceremonial wear), but the uniform itself is based on color. Army is a lighter green, airforce is this much darker green, to put it very simply lol I'm sure its more complicated than that, but that's quick research done before work
