Thank you Josie for the sweet comments and for watching! 🥰 Builder Gel is one of my favorites as well, just so easy to use!
1. Apply base coat. Flash cure
2. Apply slip coat
3. Apply thick builder blop at upper middle. Drag builder to cuticle left and right. Drag swing builder down nail
4. Use a fine liner brush for edges.
5. 60s cure of entire hand
6. Top coat gel. Flash cure
Just make sure to fully cure the hand after base coat and top coat, I flash cure in between nails just so the product doesn't move but I always finish of with a full cure :)

Do I need to do any dehydrating before applying biab such as wiping with alcohol or is only lightly buffing necessary? Xx
Hi! Both are necessary ☺️ so first wipe with acetone, then lightly buff the nail 😊

Thanks so much for this! I am trying to learn to do nails myself and your videos are super helpful! About how long does the process take for you (prep+application)? Any tips you’ve learned along the way for speeding the process up? Thanks again!
Hi! So happy to hear that my videos are useful! :) It takes me around 3-4 hours. When you're just starting I wouldn't focus on speed, I would only do that when your application is perfect, speed can come later and will come once you get the hang of it. :)
As for any tips, these are some that come to mind! But maybe it's a good idea to throw them into a video. :)
1. don't be too nitpicky when doing your manicure, I find that this is a step that you can keep spending time on because there is always something you can remove or that can be polished. So call it quits once your happy.
2. Flash cure each nail before you move on to the next and finish with a complete cure after application on all nails is done. That way your product won't move but you won't lose 60 sec on each nail, each time you cure
3. Practice and experience really do help you to speed up the process.
4. Start with doing your dominant hand! That always takes the longest so when you get to your non-dominant hand it will feel and be like a breath of fresh air haha it will be a lot more motivating as well!

Hi, before investing in the full set of TGB colours and lamp I wanted to try using the stuff I already have. Would a normal LED/uv lamp work?
Hi! Make sure that the lamp you have is powerful enough to cure the product to avoid developing allergies 😊 so at least 48W. If you can afford it, it's best to invest in the lamp from TGB

This is BIAB 19 from TheGelBottle. I don't have one for colour application (great idea for a new video). But I do have some designs in my UA-cam shorts :)

Can I use biab directly without base coat?
Hi! It depends on the brand 😊 with TheGelBottle you can use it without a base coat
How do you clean your liner brush?
Just with some isopropyl alcohol on a lint free wipe 😊
After application of BIAB and curing do l apply a color of my choice
You can! Just make sure the BIAB isn't too thick then 😊

@@SaraDhooge merci om te laten weten, is echt heel leuk om te horen🥰 qua dikte is het altijd wat proberen en uittesten, hangt ook wat af van je voorkeur en de lengte van je nagels maar echt super fijn dat het zo goed gelukt is!
Kan je ook een kleurtje aanbrengen? Bijvoorbeeld van link gellak? Wanneer in t proces moet je dat dat doen? En dan gewoon het kleurtje of ook nog een primer eronder?
Hi! Je kunt een kleurtje aanbrengen meteen nadat de biab uitgehard is :) primer is niet nodig, je kunt het gewoon op de biab aanbrengen
How long do these nails last
Typically 4-5 weeks 😊 but depends on how rough you treat your nails 😅

What you definitely need:
Aceton to dehydrate the nail
Builder gel
Top coat
(base coat is optional, depends on the brand you use)
For builder gels:
I started out with TheGelBottle as you don't need a license for that in Belgium. So if you can get your hands on those definitely those gels!
Otherwise I really like the luxury bases by Saute Nails, lasting power is insane and applies very smoothly.
I also used the Quick extension builder gel by Born Pretty a couple weeks ago and that one has also been wearing very well, also applied very easily. 😊
I have also heard good things about (but have yet to try out) the builder gels by Mylee and Aimeili!
Otherwise you just need tools to a basic manicure, a powerful lamp to cure the gel and a fine liner brush to level the product out ☺️
@@femdoesnailswould the Amazon IBD builder hard gel work if I want to start doing BIAB nails ? Or does BIAB need to be the ones in the bottles
@@daisyyg Hi! BIAB is specifically builder gel in a bottle. But in essence, you can achieve the same look with gels that come in a pot. :) you just can't call them BIAB nails then :D
BIAB is also often (but not always) a bit more flexible and soakable than the hard gels that come in a pot. They are also often a bit more runny so they level better. It all kinda comes down to what your nails need and what you prefer to work with. I find the IBD gels that come in a pot a bit hard to work with honestly because they don't level that easily.

@@daisyyg it's really confusing! All the terms have also kinda merged these past years making it even more difficult to differentiate between all the different gels 😅 but happy to help! ☺️
