Band-Maid the most entertaining Band in the world ! Plus they can Play ! This is such a great song -Welcome back Cody -Great Reaction =) Check out "Real Existence" Live - "Onset" Live or Blooming MV Thanks for playing Band-Maid =)✌🤟
Hard rock that makes you smile, that's the Band-Maid style! Play started as a instrumental, but Saiki,(lead singer), likes it so much she asked Miku Kobato to add lyrics so she could be a part of this awesome song! The actual song starts just over a minute into this video, they often add different intros and expand the middle of songs in live performances and build crowd participation into them, they love being on stage in front of a crowd! Band-Maid's fun and enjoyment is infectious and cannot be resisted!
Being over 60, I have rocked and been rocked by litteraly the best, but there's somthing really special about Band Maid, they are the greatest working rock band on the planet today, Band Maid has no rival's.
The visceral feel is there, the catchy hooks are there, the awesome riffs are there, what more do you want? Great rock all the way around by very talented ladies.
Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 We say "Japan is a country obsessed by Rock Music". I believe the obsession started in 1966 when Beatles visited Japan and held 5 concerts at Budokan. Talking about hard rock / heavy metal music, a number of bands started to come to Japan thereafter : Led Zeppelin / Grand Funk Railroad (1971), Deep Purple (1972), Iron Maiden (1981) and so on. Now, any type of rock can be enjoyed here. Uh oh, we also say "Japan is a country obsessed by Jazz". It had started earlier than rock 😄
Yeah, the lyrics for this song are fun and positive. It was originally an instrumental, but Saiki (lead singer) liked it so much she asked Miku (rhythm guitar/vocals/lyricist) to write some quick lyrics for it. Now it's a heavy, but fun, sing-a-long song for the crowd.
Great reaction, this was at their last in-person live concert on Feb. 2020, two nights, sold out, about 2K audience. This was also their biggest venue up to that time and it was looking like they about to explode and had announced at that concert their upcoming Budokan (world famous venue for bands in Tokyo 22K) concert for Feb. 2021. Sadly, that didn't happen, but the good news is that they announced a U.S. tour this year (no details yet).
An asteroid passes within 2 million kilometers of Earth today which counts as a near miss. Thus proving the Best Hard Rock on the planet is BAND-MAID :)
@@jkkansasband7056 We're ok jk. The next asteroid to get nearer won't happen for the next 200yrs. I can't be certain but i think we might be dead by then :)
Band-Maid is light years ahead of all pretenders, sorry, contenders. They are unique, creative, powerful and FUN. ONSET-LIVE or REAL EXISTENCE-LIVE. Remember BAND-MAID is Awesome. Peace.
Rock never died it just got split into a thousand sub-genres. And it didn’t move to Japan, it’s been there for decades; and lastly rock isn’t dead in America, if people can’t find good rock bands in America then they’re not trying to find it. But, BUT! Good reaction man, :)
5:34-5:46 That little back and forth between MISA and Kanami is so cool! Until you notice what Akane's feet are doing. Brrr-brrr, brrr-brrr, brrrrrrrr. 😁
Japanese bands often get lots of crowd participation. I saw a ton of it also in Maximum the Hormone and Babymetal. Craaazy mosh pits. I'm guessing that in part is obviously because of the talent this groups have, but I also think that it has something to do with the japanese culture itself. Still discovering it myself, and having a blast while at it. Band-Maid rocks. Cheers.
Dude if you can, I def recommend getting the vinyls! I got all of them and there isn't a single regret in my bones. They're so nice. Especially the Conqueror vinyl. Nothing like having a giant, beautiful pigeon face on your wall!
If he can find it, the SummerSonic version where Kanami goes off the reservation. There are fanshot vids, but the sound isn't as good as the SummerSonic vid.
Thanks nice reaction. In my opinion, Hard rock and heavy metal are not mainstream music in Japan. However, Japan has a high population density in a small land area(70% forest), so there are a certain number of fixed fans in hard rock and metal. You can see it by watching this live. This is one of the reasons why Japan has diverse pop culture. CDs also have a certain demand compared to other countries. BAND-MAID DVDs have very dense instrumental video of each part, and there is a reason to get them.
Funny you mentioned it because Band-Maid is a fan of Slipknot.... search UA-cam you some reactions of BM doing a Slipknot cover.... If you install a translation extension on your computer you can translate entire pages from any language to English. Band-Maid: Making Rock Great Again
Nobody ever believes me when I say "Play" is my favorite. "Naaah Bonnet, you're saying that because it's the last one you listened to," they always tell me. Maybe they're right, but I still love "Play." Side note: when Kanami first starts the guitar groove, it reminds me so much of one of my favorite Jane's Addiction songs "Trip Away". CDs? You youngins with your new fangled gizmos... Looking at 8-tracks on the shelf. Hey, they let me take my music on the road (turn tables tend to skip when you hit a pot hole). Rock on!
ONSET, WONDERLAND, MORATORIUM (which is only on some weird dudes page), SENSE, THRILL (original then live), FREEDOM, BLOOMING, ALONE (olddie), and THIRTY MORE!!!!
Slipknot Live on CD? Well, I bought "Frampton Comes Alive" on VINYL back in February, 1976... and it cost $8 new! But, without a doubt, Band Maid is the best live band since the 1970's. Rock on!
Yeah ... Band Maid aren't the hardest japanese Band you can find, but they are the most ... "versatile" is probably the word. They also have really good lyrics (thanks to Miku Kobato, the rhythm guitarist/2nd vocals, who write them .. well .. "most of them" now) and btw. Miku's Chipmunk "SAY!!" gets me every SINGLE time I listen to this.
A-chan liked it so much, she cliped Miku's "SAY" part and made a repeat video of it. She sent the copy to other members because they wanted it😂
