@@ThatCapybaraVibe yeah, I prefer the coal cart, it's better cause it will not go forever, so in case of trouble you can be sure it will stop not super far away from you
42:41 if you hover your mouse over netherrack and press U (for uses) on the keyboard, JEI will show you all the crafting recipes that netherrack is used.
Since I know you don't mind tips, if you have a continuous belt under a deployer, objects the deployer can interact with will pause under it, so when you're making your polished rose quartz machine, you can do one long belt instead of belt to depot to belt.
my netherite drill is 4x7 and it has a row of deployers pointing up and down right after the drills so it will patch a bunch of lava spots, making it easier. Good thing the machine is not damaged by lava by any means. And I carry some stacks of gravel when I'm drilling for netherite cause it helps getting rid of lava
Adjust the forward deployers on the miner to use list filters with Cobble, Cobbled Deepslate, and Netherrack and it can function in any location you might want to use it in. You can also add a few chutes leading down into a hole with lava at the bottom at the end of the wood chests so that if the wood can't enter the chests it'll get auto voided. Using Redstone blocks instead of Torches works to stop lava. Ogre Battle 64? Awesome game. I had a sweet Pumpkin Head Squad for killing Dragons.
The solution for your tunnel mining machine is to change the redstone torches to redstone blocks. Lava can't break the track, so a full block that powers the rails should do the trick. If you feel like, you can add two more layers to your mining contraption, one with deployers to place netherrack behind the chests and another layer that mines the netherrack. That will place blocks anywhere there would be lava. Remember that the deployers have to place netherrack around the perimeter of the machine too.
So, I had a few things. Firstly, if you use 4 ink sacks in a cross pattern around your backpack it will make the squid version which will give you night vision and water breathing while in water so you won’t have to take doors with you anymore. Secondly, the hose you made for backpack has to have key binds set up or changed so you can use it. It has a suck mode, spill mode and drink mode. Third, all backpacks that have abilities have a button (underneath the slot you put full buckets to load them in the tanks) that you can press to enable and disable abilities. And lastly, another feature that you can key bind is the ability to scroll between tools that are highlighted in green in your bag so you can clear room on your hot bar. Was not sure if you knew. Hope it helps and thanks for all the videos.
Thank you, Legion. Today was a really stressful day for me and i felt like shit and i have been excited nevertheless for this video all day and just the intro alone genuinely made my day and made me feel so much better. Thank you. You're truly amazing! 👑 I usually don't donate money to anyone, but you're my absolute favorite UA-camr and your videos help out so so so much, more then you probably know, so i wanted to thank you properly, its not much, but it proves my points. Have a great day and an amazing weekend! I hope you dont overwork yourself by creating those weekly videos! :)
40:00 you don't need a depot. you can just run a long belt from left to right and everytime a rosequarz is under a deployer with sandpaper it will be polished. If the sandpaper is missing, it will stop the process until a new sandpaper is available. this way your contraption will become shorter and won't need as much room - and will be cheaper. Edit: While mining in the nether: why using cobblestone to build a path under your rails when you are surrounded by tons of building blocks which you could use? You can use those blocks to build a "roof" or a "hut" around your contraption while you are mining. I believe beardstone did something like that as well in his first season - foxy too.
Instead of using powered rail and torches make your contraption with a furnace minecart that way you can do away with one deployer and plough, just feed the contraption coal or other fuel and it will keep moving
I would totally be down for some Legion sticky notes with his face in the corner and a “You were supposed to remind me, Citizen” on it somewhere on it 😂
@LegionVee if you swap the restone torches for redstone blocks and the plough for a drill, and add a cobble row on the other side of the cart the drill will be fire/water proof altough it will be harder to pick it up
i recently started watching your videos, especially the OneBlock series, and I just wanted to say how much I appreciate them. your calm voice and positive energy really bring comfort, especially during a tough time for me. seeing a new upload from you always makes my day a little better. thanks for sharing these good vibes with us!
I’ve always turned in your videos at night when I fall asleep or can’t fall asleep and I’ve been really enjoying this series as someone who doesn’t have a computer and watching what you’re doing and how you improve things from the earlier videos with newer things as you learn create is really neat to watch, keep making amazing videos I love to watch them
@Legion_Vee You can use deployers on the outskirts of the drill to place a building block directly above and the side of the drills! (I know its expensive, but it works as long as the lava isnt directly in front of the drill)
If you want to be able to mine through anything with absolutely no worries, you need a tonne of deployers. Place them all behind the drills facing forward. If there is a gap they should place a block in it. This will prevent the lava going everywhere and remove it. Then behind the 2nd layer from the top add deployers facing up. Make the changes to the redstone torch so you have restone blocks and make it a drill to collect the redstone. This way you can send it through even lava lakes with 0 worries. You will get a bit of lava spill from the roof section for a second or 2 but the machine will plug it as it moves forward. This is very expensive but worth it if you don't want to run around plugging lava every 2 seconds
Yay! Legion!! Keep having fun with your videos, remember to drink water and take breaks!!! You’re doing fantastic, keep up the fun content and keep having fun!!
There's two ways to keep the minecart safe (that I know of) One, is expensive but makes te tunnel safe for you as well. That's to line the entirety of the front of the drills with deployers and filter them to place blocks (netherrack for the nether, but really, any easily mined block will do) as well as a line of them pointing up to create a ceiling.. inevitably just clearing out the lava pockets. The second is the way most everyone else has said. Replace the plow for a drill and have the deployer place redstone blocks instead of torches. It slows the cart down, but it'll never stop. The problem is that.. it'll NEVER stop. If you look away, and it mines itself into the lava ocean, you're kind of hosed
Maybe it'll be a good idea to put back the contraption on your way home. The drill will help clear all the mob that spawn in the empty field back there and you can just walk along.
Love the video. But a tip just swap back to a furnace Minecraft lava or water wont stop them. Or swap the new plow with a drill and have it place redstone blocks to power the rail
Please update your drill to fix lava and update the cart with either redstone block or with a few chests full of coal (from your wood farm) and mine like a huge chunk of the nether 🤩 maybe build an auto smelter attached to your drill for nether rack bricks and full row of deployers creating a giant road 😍 to rome! Burning all your spoils just seems a waste to me, you should use these massive amounts to massively build 😁
Love all your Minecraft videos. But especially these create ones. Just bought one of your greetings citizens mugs and donated €3 to the cause. Long live the Legion.
Ideally for the nether you can put deployers behind the drills that place blocks in front of them, this clears up lava in the path and on the top and sides have deployers that use the netherrack to build a box tunnel as it goes completely lava free but expensive and a pain to set up at a large scale
Legion in your latest vidoe you changed your drill to be powered by redstone touches instead of that why don't you make two drills one for the nether and one for the overworld ,the one for the nether can be powered by a furnace powered by charcoal, remember that you have made your wood into charcoal why don't you use that to power the drill and the overworld one can be the current one
The solution to your drilling woes is lots of deployers. From the front of the machine going back 3 lines 1st line, behind every drill but a deployer facing the direction of movement to put blocks Infront of the machine to fill any lava lakes. 2nd line put deployers the width of the machine facing up to put a roof over you head so lava doesn't pour down. 3rd line put deployers one the right and left sides building walls to prevent lava coming from the sides.
Thank you Legion! I'm about to go into a meeting but now I have something to look forward to afterwards! This meeting is going to seem like a thousand years now that I know your video is waiting for me!
58:28 use deployers to fix holes with lava in the roof and build the drills so that minecart is above everything else (the drills are below minecart level)
If anyone hasn't said you can put deployers behind the drill and above to place blocks in front of the drill to kill the lava then the drill will destroy them. Deployers pointed up will clog any holes created above you. Than you can use Restone blocks to power the rails with a drill to break it.
Use the netherrack that you mine on deployers that surround the drill. That way, any holes that you find will be filled and will block lava from halting progress
not sure if anyone has suggested this, but consider using encased chain drives instead of belts when connecting belts together that need to run in the same direction, as using a ton of belts can cause some lag in the long run

Sounds ridiculous but that's me, can you make the drilling rig place a wide enough bridge above it so as not to damage the torches or yourself. That map mod can be adjusted on normal it shows what is one block above you and below you only. That's why the lave doesn't show up on the map
i'm just gonna ignore the fact that you change the mining contraption to use powered rails instead of coal, which you now have a ton of, and suggest you using redstone blocks for powering the rails and also switch out the cobblestone deployers for netherack, at least when in nether ofc
Hey legion I don't know if you know this or not but while using jei if you press u (or right click in the jei menu) it will tell you the uses for the block/item. Try 4 deploers right above where the track and torches are to put neather block above it and the drills below it to make it so lava can't flow to the side of it and change the Coble to neather
Replace the new plow at the back with a drill and use redstone blocks instead of torches.
