- Probably the most intense supercell I've ever witnessed.
Crazy rotation, funnels, 8cm hail and VERY frequent lightning were a feature with this storm.
More photos and video can be found at our South Brisbane Storms facebook group..

This is awesome, guys! That lightning was super cool! :-) This reminds me a lot of Texas and Oklahoma where I chase.
I can't get enough of watching it, I've seen this 5 times already now
Tornadoes in Australia are more common than everyone thinks, there has been multiple outbreaks of them like the tornado outbreak in 1992 in bucca and oakhurst an EF3in oakhurst and an EF4 in bucca, Queensland also in 1973 there was an EF3 in brisbane
I was once in an EF2 in the Fraser Coast, Australia in January 2013 while Cyclone Oswald was passing through the area
Yes we get them but nothing like the usa most of the time there are just very dangerous storms
wow!! I love storms : ) Aussie storms are the best especially the electrical ones we get on the Gold Coast with no rain....Lightning!!
Yes, I like thunder & lightning with the heavy rain, it can be exciting, where I live ( Coutts Crossing) NSW, have had huge bolts close to the house, not only is this bit scary but I have felt my( remaining) hair stand up, I live on ten acres & have big trees hit witch has split them apart..
One of my all time fave storm videos on UA-cam!
By far one of my fav storm chasing vids... Love storm season in SE Qld.
awesome stuff, good job mates!
one of the best TS video i've seen.
nice scuds but still far away from an organised tornado...
I love the dark and gloomy look of that beauty. This is why I love storms lol.
i used to live in oakey we always had amazing and spectacular storms
Omg !!! The most exciting footage so far ! Must've been the biggest challenge and adrenaline rush ever ! An all-in-one experience ! Thanks so much for sharing ! Can't wait for more !
I think so,.but I think it is very dangerous, they are very brave.
Awesome stuff guys and girls :)
I could have watched that all night and wish it went for a few hours.
Cheers from Melbourne

And I thought I was a pretty dedicated chaser... That was INSANE! Great work, I'd love to come for a chase with you guys.
The awesome power of mother nature and her summer moods.
Amazing Video! Queensland doesn't play..
I've gotta say living in Oakey for 14 years this is one of the worst storms I've encountered
FANTASTIC VIDEO!!
Nicely done!!!!
That was AWESOME. Great footage. 5 stars!!!!
That was amazing...beautiful structure.

Fair play guys great great video!! I was shitting it at the end for u all.. I was working in Emerald couple of years ago and remember a huge storm rolled in outta nowhere and I thought I was a gonner ha the size of the hail was crazy! And the lightening my god it was beautiful
I've lived in Asia, Darwin, GB, now currently in Switzerland, by Lake Geneva...surrounded by mountains (swiss alps) we get some pretty nasty storms out here too !

Very impressive! Especially at 8:56.
fucking awesome so jealous wish i could have seen it in the flesh, 10/10 for video work.
This video did not disappoint
What a bloody ripper! I saw this video a while a go, so good to hear an Aussie accent in a storm chase! Some serious hail in that bad boy, do you get lightning shots or what? Some of those +CGs were massive!
11:58 that poweflash
That ain't a power flash. XD
Storms are awesome!
Great work! Surprised the screen didn't give way on the car.
Yes! I like that one on 13:08 =). Nice Video mate...
That lightning was very cool and the clap of thunder and idk if it has hail but let’s see this is fucking crazy right now never come here lol
That thing looks insane
Wow that was just incredible
That was just superb
I LOVE IT
GOOD JOB GUY'S
Fajne nagrania , pozdrawiam , jestem z Polski
I love storms. Shame we don’t get too many where I live. I’m rural Victorian.
Outstanding video! This was during Spring in Australia, right?
+Sean Richardson yeah this is spring for Australia hot temperatures and vicious Storms
énorme les éclairs et les impacts de foudre !!
Im a austrailan storm chaser
Where are you based? I am in VIC not a chaser but very excited to know thre are storm chasers around monitoring situations. Weather services aren't enough we need people on the ground.
i'd love one of these in the wimmera/maleee region
WOW what a intens storm!!!!
13:09 powerful lightning strike
it was a thunderstorm that gives positive lightning strikes .. positive lightning is more dangerous than ordinary lightning
Тучи чернейшие!!! Гроза сильнейшая!!! Только глухая, в отличие от прежних лет, от споконвечия.
Did a tornado actually touch down or no
It looked a lot like that west of Dalby today!
Kept watching. Nah it wasnt that bad today. Lighting was the same though. My property got hit and definitely some close by neighbors.
at 9:05-9:55 it looked like a tornado was deforming at the right
i love Thunderstorms
I love a good storm, unfortunately we only get one or two a year.
I live near Goombungee and we can’t get tornados because they can’t get up the hill I live on
Maddie V
Really??
unfortunately, tornados absolutely do not care about hills being in the way. They are more likely to form over flat areas but they can and do form over hills and plough across them like nothing
I was fully expecting a tornado to form at about 12:00 and 15:00
a whole new tornado Alley in Australia
I like the Australian accent, it’s like the stretched version of British accent.
10:10 "Do you smell it?" - ozone!
Sean Richardson no....???
smells like farts!
They should have set off a siren to warn people
+BNSFSD40 actually I found about three, but thy were only in Queensland, and recently installed, they installed whelen WPS 4004 vortex sirens, the sound radius is originally 3 kilometers but the noise can be heard bouncing off sides of hills 6kilometers away! Impressive!
really? i didnt know they had those in queensland
This storm has 3 defund wedges
would you be able to possibly time stamp them? I would like to see what you see
Had a feeling the driver was going to get you guys into trouble lol
Yep
Looks like ideal storm breeding ground
It would be funny if that storm at 1:23 struck that tree it would be just like a thing I saw before a movie I was watching a lightning bolt hit a tree then the logo appeared lol
Switzerland is prone to having avalanches, flooding and earthquakes... 🤨
I wonder will uk type in couple of years and our beautiful planet should be looking after a lot more because climate change
Apocalyptic storm ...
only thing that'd make this more aussie is if yous were getting around in a commy
and seein' some kangaroos roaming
13:09 O_O
Lol My name Cameron!
if u went out record these & DONT TALK LEAVE CAMERA RUNNING & GO AWAY 2 -4 HRS 👉⚡🌩🌩⚡🤪🙉💬👦> Shh 😲
