  • Reverend Calvin O. Butts, III speaks with President Barack Obama on stage, celebrating the importance of the groundbreaking for the Smithsonian's newest museum, the National Museum of African American History and Culture. The museum, which will be located near the Washington Monument on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., is expected to be open to the public in late 2015.

    Thats my home Pastor from Abyssinian Baptist Church in Harlem. He is a phenomenal and inspirational speaker. So proud of him and the Obamas!

    This is an excellent oratory in the traditional classic sense, practiced by the greats like: Frederick Douglass, Booker Washington, Martin King and Adam Clayton Powell. The African American community needs to bring back the Oratory Contests of yesterday!!!!!

    it shows that good old time speakers still have it..we used to have speeches with poetry, etc..now people just struggle along..or say 'oops.'

    I have plenty of confidence that it will. And how do you support your statement? Is it just your thought or do you have some sort of justification? I'm just saying. I also enjoyed listening to my frat brother, Dr. Calvin Butts, deliver a message that only he can do!

    I worked on the foundation of this project. They used tons of toxic chemicals for use in the slurry wall, effected the health of me, and other guys who worked there.

    You guys at should really look into Ret. Colonel Roosevelt Lewis Jr. as being apart of the African-American History Museum. I think his story & information would surprise you. Also...Kenneth Morris (Universal Aero Space Elite in Houston, TX)
