Backyard Birds of Australia Cute Birb Videos - Домашні улюбленці та дикі тварини
All species of bird and mammal have one best thing they love - after food, being told how incredibly, astonishingly good looking they are no matter the condition they are in! It’s how we charm them if we are smart. 👏 👏 👏
I just can’t believe how receptive these birds are to you !, how on earth did you manage to earn their trust ?
She's a Disney princess. Gotta be.
put simply food and time. there are loads of people who hand feed magpies because they are probably the easiest and least likely to get a bite say from a parrot. when i was a kid we holidayed in a place where at dusk all the possums came down out of the trees and everyone fed them too. its believed the way dogs probably became domesticated was because it was easier to get a feed off peoples scraps than to hunt it yourself.
if you wanted to try yourself you start off just putting out food at a set time every day and leaving it, they get used to feeding times and begin waiting then you just start bringing the food closer and closer to you once they get settled and eventually you will have birbs like this if you invest enough time.

HUNGER!!
Awww, they're so sweet and they do seem to understand compliments at least Dwarfy does. 😇🩷🙏🙌
its mostly tone of voice, the same happens with dogs and training them. women have a harder time training dogs because they have a higher pitched voice where as the dogs will listen better to a deep male voice. same thing when you praise them you use a higher pitched voice. if you listen closely she uses a quite high pitched voice when communicating with them. i dont know if she is aware she does it or of its effect but with all the dogs i learnt to be very aware of it.
respectfully your uploads make my whole day brighter!! and your voice is very lovely!!
Aww thank you so much! Means a lot ❤️
Good morning, Dwarfy & Family . Love your connection with these beautiful birds . Yesterday in our Mulberry tree I seen Baltimore oriole, House finch , cardinal & American Robin . Love birds .
We used to have a huge mulberry tree in Rockhampton many years ago. It had silkworms making cocoons (yellow) every year. We never touched them, just let them be to do their natural thing. The tree was huge and could sustain the population without any real harm coming to the tree. It was quite fascinating.
@TheAstroflight how beautiful 😍 We also have praying mantis in our bushes, lightning bugs . Love Nature ❤️. We're in Ohio .
@@TheAstroflight where is Rockhampton ?
@@amybear2941 Central Queensland, on the Tropic of Capricorn.

Your a Disney princess without even knowing it.

We do like our Kooka's in Oz....
I think they want to come inside and hang out with you!
I only have doves close to me.
I notice they never shelter for the rain, though there are plenty of easy and good spots to do so in my urban environment.
Didn't they ever discover that, or don't they need to?
They look like miserable soaked cats, during and after heavy rain.
Do they visit at night when you are in bed sleeping?. I would be a slave to how cute they are. I would always be letting them in and trying to spend as much time with them
Thankfully not! Although, when I had my bed closer to a window, one of the magpies would absolutely not let me nap during the day even if I had the blinds closed.
A Thursday submission? Will there be another tomorrow? 🙂 Soggy birds. It is almost like they enjoy the water.
Ohhhhh did I stuff my days up? I didn't even realise!
Does Dwarfy know his name? It seems like he does.
Good question! Not sure...
Would like to see your face sometime.
I too, prefer my Kookaburra wet.
My birthday is tomorrow
Happy Birthday!!! 🎉🎉🎉
howdy, is there a ramp for the pool incase a bird cant fly out of it?
Yep!
I have a family of kookaburras just recently moved in to my area (near the Adelaide airport). The only problem is there are many sulphur crested cockatoos here also. One of them (Scruffy) is very elderly and loved by some of the neighbours. Honestly he's probably not long for this world and barely has any body feathers left. But the neighbours have told me that the kookaburras have been attacking poor old scruffy.
I don't want to discourage the kookaburras, but of course I don't want them attacking old Scruffy either.
I'm wondering if it's predatory or territorial behaviour. If it's predatory, we should just keep them fed. That way they won't need to hunt. If it's territorial then feeding them will only encourage them to stay around where Scruffy will get attacked.
There are certain times of the year, particularly when kookaburras have eggs or young chicks, when the area around their nest becomes a no-fly zone, especially for meat-eating predators like currawongs. Old Scruffy is certainly not a threat to kook eggs, so that is like not the reason. Old or sick birds get ostracized from the flock at some point, so perhaps his dilapidated appearance makes him the outcast and the kooks feel entitled to harrass him. Hard on the old cockatoo for sure. They are pretty resilient and the two species have negotiated their shared space for thousands of years, so why is Scruffy getting attacked? Hard to figure.
@RevHengSure Thanks for your response. Being carnivorous birds I'm hoping they are attacking as predators. While that sounds a bit gruesome, the silver lining is that they can be fed well enough to override their hunting instinct. (at least I hope). If it's territorial behaviour then poor old Scruffy is in for a rough winter. He's already so bald I doubt he'll survive the cold. I'm thinking of making him a cage he can retreat to on the verandah. Make a little waterproof woollen suit from a Scotchgarded sock, catch him get a vet to check him and make him comfy for his last day's. That, plus feeding the kookaburras to placate the predatory instinct, I hope will work.
Hey!?… when did the glass pool fencing go in?
Don’t tell me someone reported you for not having the pool fenced!?
Haha yeahhh got to put the safety fence in....
Haha yeahhhh got to put the safety fence in...
So someone reported it?
they are huge birds. man i thought they were tiny but nope
What if (bear with me here) what if we could translate what it was that the Kookaburras were saying, and it turned out to be
*KLINGON* ... (just a thought) 😕
🤣
