Thanks for posting this. I feel like the one @ 2 minutes in will be the most valuable to me in terms of keeping my room organized. I can finally keep all my stuff off the ground including my surge protectors and modem. The only other things on the ground in my side of the room are my cards and a small suitcase. The suitcase I use as a leg rest underneath my tables. My cards are the only last thing under my tables/bed, but they will go on the new shelves I am getting in my room. So basically everything can be off my floor now for my maids to clean my room with no problem reaching all areas under my bed and tables.

    Benri,
I really enjoyed your ingenuity in these ideas, really nicely filmed and very clear.
One thing was the twist off of the left over tab, I think that should be first in this.
This is really important thing to do for safety more than people realize.
If these get cut at an angle its very dangerous, like box cutter.
In a telephone exchange where there are very many many of these Panduit cable ties (the real name before it was copied). (The biggest industry to adopt them before auto.) You are taught to cut them flat with a flush cut set of cutters or it will fail inspection.
The reason why this is such a big deal is It can puncture other runs of cable next to it (can be lots of pressure from weight in harness from subsequent builds, but most important is the OHS hazard.
Having that angle profile like you have in some of these cuts, even with gloves on can open your wrist up so badly that you don't have time to get down a ladder to put pressure on the wound before you have bleed out enough to faint. I have nearly done that when i was in that job and you never expect it.
They also don't like blood in exchange hardware. Mwahahaha.
    Anyhow great post.

didnt see one I use that works pretty good..if you have a broken or cracked piece of plastic like heater box innyour car or plastic bezel on your dash ..soldering iron and ziptie of matching color as filler works good to weld plastic.

I've broken scissors cutting zip ties before. My hack is to use NAIL CLIPPERS! It cuts way closer to to base so nothing sticks out. Plus it provides way less risk to cutting or scratching your object when you need to remove them.

As a pro photographer it's fills my clients with confidence in my abilities to see zipties on my camera. I also put one on my pants zipper so it's easier to go to the bathroom.

Use nail clippers to clip cable tie cleanly against the lock. No more sharp, protruding ends.
