This is such a good idea! After talking to a nurse at a renfair last year, I decided to always bring packets with me to help with dehydration. This is such a good idea to keep my kit looking good while still being functional. If you add a little bit of edible glitter in with your electrolyte powder, you'll have a "magic potion" that looks on theme whilst helping with the heat and sun.

Exactly! Its saved us so many times. We add edible glitter, and a small amount of sugar free coolaide to it. That way you can get different colors.

While I will probably never make this complete project, I will certainly be using the information on the different steps to create each piece. The info on 'Order of Operation' was very valuable since an error at any stage of that process can cause big problems! Thanks for the great video tutorial!

So glad to hear that! I have watched countless videos on projects that I will never do for that exact reason.

Thank you Thank you for this video.
It’s just solidifying more and more what I want to do with this skill. I need to invest in an edger and understand how to keep it sharp.
Between the journals, pouches and this, plus my love for the fantasy world, I’m hoping to someday find my way in to this world.

How did you figure out the spacing for the holes on the main body for where the holes on the strap attach? Not the holes on the strap, but the holes that the strap is affixed to. Is it 1 x the dia. of the bottle or 1.5 x or 1.25 times? Thanks. (I'm want to use the pattern for a different but similar purpose)

Essentially I placed the bottles on the thirds. I eyeballed it, then used my wing dividers to confirm they were accurate. I've found that doing it that way is the most accurate and least frustrating. A lot of people can do the math and figure it out...Chuck is one that does it that way...Being very right brained and dyslexic, math is a foriegn language to me. So I do it manually buy placing them where I like them, then using the wing dividers to confirm they are placed correctly.
Be careful using the "1.5 times" approach. Because leather can vary in thickness, you can end up with a loop that is too tight or not tight enough.

Actually, it would be the quarters. So, first rivet is zero, second rivet is 25% and so on.

Question : what is the tool you used to cut the corners on the shapes. I have looked everywhere I can think of and all I can find is a half circle not 90 degree.

Cool project but, this guy already had his pattern made! I'd rather watch chuck he either uses a pattern they offer or teaches you to make one. This is inspirational but useless as a how-to
