Usually if you are willing to play a combo card for 4 mana it needs to do something strong like draw 2 cards or reduce the next two card by 3 mana which gives it bounce value. This card requires you to have already played a card, have 4 mana left and still have enough mana to do more or it's just combo do 4 damage to undamaged minion.
I mean Talgath isnt insane, but there is "Barrel Roll" which costs 1 if you build a Starship and deals 5 to undamaged character with Talgath 10 damage + 4 on another undamaged minion. If not in a Starship deck this synergies well with Health Drink or Thief Rogue Weapon, where you deal and heal the double amount. Especially with the weapon which can be easily +5 or +7 and then deals and heals for 10/14 on big minions. In Starship decks there are a lot of good options for rogue, because it can get other Starship pieces like the rush or lifesteal ones and there are other situations that can happen, where this card can be well supportive. Also dont forget, that this card can easily cost 3 or 2 mana because of the card that reduces the cost of combo cards. Not a card that can probably carry you alone or give you tempo, but support you in different situations. Its simple and I like it
I would like it too, if only enchanter didn't exist. Surely enchanter is not a combo sinnergy card, but you can have twice in the deck, and enemies minions doesn't have to be undamaged to get double damage. Talgath can double the damage also on the opponent turn, but it's not relevant that much to make it a legendary.

I've always seen backstabs as a combo trigger rather than a cheap removal spell, so maybe in a combo deck, getting 2 backstabs is enough for a card to be legendary? As it stands rn, it's just a 4 mana "combo: deal 4 to an undamaged minion" Because tar slick and enchanter are 10 times better in combination with other cards, they both cost less, have a better effect, and they can be the first card played thet turn (as they don't need a combo activator). I have no idea how to rebalincing it. 3 backstabs look too many, and 2 looks too little.

The only Rogue decks I see a lot that have no need at all for the card are weapon rogues, although you could argue that cutlass specifically might want to double healing output for a turn for 1 mana.
I think there's a good chance that you're completely missing the makr on Talgath. The effect seems really good for more aggro/ mid range decks. If the opponent plays a big taunt and you have a few smaller 2/3 drops on the board, if they have 3or 4 attack they will do double damage on the first hit against that big taunt, often oneshotting it. I wouldn't be surprised if it worked really well in a more tempo oriented rogue. that said, there's still a good chance that it's just shit instead, but the effect has a lot of potential in tempo decks I think and could really make some disgusting tempo turns happen

Between Sonya and Tess, we will absolutely be seeing 8 or 16 damage Fans with Tar Slick and Talgath, add in a Beatboxer for more combo value and Rogue looks like it could have the best, most repeatable board-clear in the game this coming Xpac. The issue will still be the same as current hostage/maestra/Sonya/Tess decks that rely on playing 436747832 Health Drinks - how do you kill your opponent? Well Spacerock will make Eviscerate, Oh Manager and Tentacle Grip into Sonya-compatible cards, but we will see if there is room in the deck for all this new discount-combo stuff without dropping the infinite defensive loops that Maestra/Tess give currently. I think Eviscerate for sure will be played into Sonya after Spacerock - with Sandbox Scoundrel+Cover Artist making Sonya compatible with herself, you can quickly get up to 3 Sonyas on board at once, all you need is 1 Spacerock and 2 Eviscerates to OTK your opponent with 8 Eviscerates for 3-mana/32-damage. Even without the Cover Artist set-up it's still a 3-card/3-mana/16-damage combo. If you can follow up with Tess and get good RNG it's still a 2-turn kill. It all might sound far-fetched but this is Rogue we're talking about - if it _can_ happen, it _will_ happen.
Imagine the potential if only Talgath didn't say minions. You keep your opponent full hp, summon 4 copies of Talgath, and eviscerate does 64 damage. I suppose that wouldn't be fair.
Imho you can't write this legendary off. Why even with quite situational effect? First you can set some better trades if you have some own board for better trades, secondly it can even take out board of giants ( that have 2 DS ), assuming you got such combo in late game: Tar slick on one DS, Talgath to backstab second, then Dark Iron Skuler and done whole opponent board cleared 😊
I don't know. I think the legendary is ok to good, since in the more late state of the game people trade less. Wich means more undamaged minions on board. Still, we'll see. My luck is so bad that i will get it as the "free" legendary so, i'll try it out

I dont think its terrible. 4 mana 4/4 deal 4 prevent your opponent from developing minions. As if you have an aggro board vs a mage druid or warrior places down a huge minion. You can easily trade into it for double damage. It would definately see play in any tempo rogue or will be good board lock down in aggro rogue.

Talgath is not complete rubbish. If you have coin on turn 3 you can build an almost decent body and probably remove everything that the opponent threw at you or will play next turn. Must kill for bord centric decks.
The only way Talgath sees even fringe play is if they buff it to also say "enemy minions that have only taken 1 damage count as undamaged." It's a four mana do nothing. Even if you're playing all cards that have the backstab effect, it has no battlecry and no relevant change to the board.
Tar slik and this guy will see play I climbed two months in a row with spectral cutless rouge and tar slik is amazing not only for clear but for extra life steal from health drink/cutless So yeah they are good 3/5 but not bad as you say

Kingsbane, sadly, is just weapon rogue you want to push face. And even more sadly with all the durability you can give to weapons now it's not a good weapon rogue. It will always be my favourite weapon, so I'll not disenchant it, but rn it's not playable.

I know the potential. It's just then I look at the Standard combo minions and it's... Yikes... Best you can do is Beatboxer for 8 damage or triple Buccaneer in Shaffar Rogue. In Wild, it's a way to activate big discount Scabbs before getting Spirit down. Which can let you try and draw into Spirit or simply cheat out hero Scabbs to delay an aggro deck a turn.
It would have been a good legendary a few years... well back before the devs lost the plot and turned the game into a shitshow of broken cards! This expansion is going to be a flop because of the mistakes made in prior expansions due to power creep.

Talgath affects only enemies, and affects all damage not just spells. Backstab is bad because so few relevant minions have 2 health now.
It's not the worst with health drink, could just be basically a third copy of tarslick

It looks good value-wise, get a 4/4 kill a 4/4. Someone suggested buffing it to a 3/4 for 3 mana in which case it would seem like a good card.

lucky comet, in wild, might see play, This might be, the 6th good card i see this expansion. Mark my words, this expansion will have MINIMAL, if AT ALL an effect on the standard meta... such a shame. Its either broken insane powercreep, or just, nothing at all...

All opponents minions take double damage also in battle.
Seams pretty good to me.
Dagger might deal 2 damage.
Should be comboed and enemy needs to be undamaged so no card is bad
If on turn 4 you have a dagger up, and it still has only 1 attack, you've already lost.

Best you can do is Beatboxer for 8 damage or triple Buccaneer in Shaffar Rogue.
In Wild, it's a way to activate big discount Scabbs before getting Spirit down. Which can let you try and draw into Spirit or simply cheat out hero Scabbs to delay an aggro deck a turn.

It would have been a good legendary a few years... well back before the devs lost the plot and turned the game into a shitshow of broken cards! This expansion is going to be a flop because of the mistakes made in prior expansions due to power creep.
