The Four Thoughts--Impermanence
Вставка
- Опубліковано 17 січ 2016
- In this short teaching, Mingyur Rinpoche discusses the second of the four common foundational practices, also called the four thoughts. These practices help us understand our true nature and develop wisdom that can end suffering. They aid in seeing and ending our negative habitual patterns. The second thought, impermanence, helps to make our mind less rigid and fixed as we realize that everything in the world is always changing.
This video includes subtitle captions in English, German, and Spanish.
You can discuss this teaching in the Monthly Teachings Forum of learning.tergar.org under the topic The Four Thoughts - Impermanence.

I feel grateful for being healthy and able to do things others may not be able to. I feel guilty if i give up an opportunity to enjoy my blessings such as; not going for a hike if the weather is rainy. So i think i can understand the importance of impermanence. One cannot know what the future holds, and if i ever lost the ability to go out and hike or jog for example, i wouldn't want to think about the opportunities i wasted when i was able to do those things. Enjoy what you have, while you have it. Really enjoy your videos, thank you.

Great video!
On the subject of impermanence, I have question to ask. I suffer from several chronic pain conditions. I am always in pain every single day. Sometimes less sometimes more, but always in pain. I wish my condition was impermanent, but it is not. It’s not going to go away. In fact it’s getting worse. How does one deal with chronic pain? How does one deal with it chronic illness? I really would love to see you do a video on the subject of illness and suffering. I’d like to know your point of view. Thank you for all you’ve taught me, Rinpoche. Namaste 🙏🏼
Every day, I'm the oldest I've ever been.
Psychology is learning this now. Its been around 5000yrs
it is very scary that ancient buddhist teachings is equal to modern psychology / neurology science, what he just said is equal to Cognitive Bias in psychology,
in addition neurologist has proven that meditation can improve brain function
They did a brain scan on him and the doctors were shocked to find the results

Scary in what way?
