- Hi, my name is Cubastic and today I'm gonna be reviewing and solving the IMPOSSIBLE Cast Arrows Puzzle! What's it's secret? Don't be fooled by it's difficulty rating, it's 3/6, but with my experience in puzzle I can say that it definitely deserves a higher rating! Enjoy!

Stoped video at 3:04 after watching from 2:30 let's see if I worked it out. Put two arrows either end of the long slit. Put two arrows either side of the middle and then pull the 5th arrow through the gap. Edit there was not 5 ooops.

When I started watching, I assumed that NOT ALL ARROWS ARE CREATED EQUAL.... that's the key to many of these type puzzles... good job...
I am a COMPUTER SCIENTIST, amongst other things... and since I was a boy I always liked PUZZLES and ways to solve problems in various fields....

I love these kinds of puzzles.... Never impossible but the challenges are fun. I also love to see what new puzzles are available so I can give them a try

I've never liked puzzles where there are several *almost* identical pieces and the solution depends on doing the same thing you tried many times and failed with, but with the right almost identical piece
I'm writing this at 1:37 just before you actually started solving it. I think there is only one way it could come apart. The notch has space both vertically and horizontally in two notches at the side of the main channel. Move one or two of the arrows toward the vertical extreme. Then move the remaining two arrows toward the horizontal notches and experiment by moving them and twisting them to see if one or both of them can be swiveled so that they fit into the side notches with their flat side parallel to the main notch. With two arrows in the side notches and one at the vertical extreme you should be able to twist the fourth arrow parallel to the main notch and just barely slide it out between the two arrows in the side notches. Now with one arrow out the remaining three will be easier using essentially the same method. You may need to combine this method with moving the arrows forward and back in relation to each other to free them from hitting each other tail to head before sliding one out. Now I'll watch the rest and see if I was right. BRB. OK 6:04 you did the same thing I did but the tail of the fourth arrow prevents it from sliding out vertically. I'm guessing you will need to move the angle of the arrow in relation to the others to get it out and I'm also guessing that the shape of the heads and tails is key to just barely getting it out. I'll watch more to see if that is right. We'll that turned out to be right essentially so I guess we both got it.
You need to readjust your top camera, it makes me feels frustrated when it missed some steps when you're doing it
I have not seen it earlier, but as soon as I saw, I guessed it in seconds.. I did not feel it was a tough one, it was an easy one!!

The geometry of this puzzle seems similar to the famous 'Sofa Problem'.
It is a famous mathematics problem, of how to create the largest sofa, that can be maneuvered through a 90-degree corner of a hallway. It should not be too difficult to find, if you look for this mathematics problem, it is famous enough to find pretty quickly. You will see what I mean about the geometry, looking at the 'feather' of the arrow in this puzzle, and compare it to the sofa in the math problem.
Joseph L. Gerver, currently has the best solution, but maybe it can be improved. This would be a puzzle that if you solved, it would make you famous in the mathematics community!
the answer, take the cutting disc and split that heart into two pieces, and voila.. you're done. it's not that hard.. 🤣

There is a cut-out slightly wider part on the bottom to the point of the heart witch may allow one arrow to pull out when you have 2 side by side in the center. Just figure out which one fits. (if they are not all identical)

I saw how to remove the first arrow after you had first aligned the other 3. However that was key when you saw that one arrow was just a little bit different to reassemble! 👍

Wow. That puzzle looks hard because of all the loose pieces. I couldn't solve something like because my hands wouldn't be able to handle that many pieces.

I bought that and solved it below 9 minutes but putting it back took me 20 minutes
Seriously, at the moment... The 3 other arrows can be placed at certain direction & take out one Arrow. Try all the possible ways around at that point patiently... I have solved it already in less than 5 mins.

I was thinking put the further arrows far from the middle and hold them there, then slide the two middle ones to the circle, twist them 90 degrees and pull one out at a time. Idk
What took so long?? I had this exact same puzzle and I got the arrows out in about 1 second with bolt cutters. Easy!
one of the arrow is slightly smaller in width that will be the first one to come out and last one to go in..
