An update to my previous comment. The crew at Self Reliance Outfitters contacted me immediately to resolve the issue. They were very gracious and sent me a replacement. I received the replacement yesterday and it is perfect. The lid fits nice and tight. I am really looking forward to cooking and baking in the Pot. Thank you, Dave, and your great crew.
Bushpot with pathfinder stove set is perfect. Put the stove upside down and you illuminate carrying an extra stove/weight. That's what I do. It's been a sweet find for me.
Very cool! I have been debating on getting this pot or the newer 14cm version of the Zebra pot for a few weeks now, I just haven't been able to make up my mind. The Zebra pot comes with a locking lid and another pan nested inside, but most people say they don't use the pan. Both are about $31 after S&H, similar in size (5.5"x5.5" vs 6"x5 3/4") and are highly rated. I just realized after seeing this review that there is one important (to me) difference between the two. The Bush Pot has the folding side handles too. Thanks for sharing.
I have the tons of pots wife says i have too many lol just sent for this pot/billy can what i like is the butterfly handles i have the zebra 12cm 14cm and 16cm but they dont have the butter fly handles dave does make some good gear and cheap as well i have his frying pan with i am very happy with thanks foe makeing the video atb stuart
@@HappilyEverOutdoors Just received my New Pathfinder Bush Pot. The lid is so loose. Disappointing for sure. Made in China, I guess I shouldn't be surprised at the quality.
Sorry about your experience, the lid has been great on mine even after extended use. Have you tried reaching out to Self Reliance Outfitters with your complaint?
@@HappilyEverOutdoors I purchased and live in Canada. Fed up with the run around from my supplier. I did email Self Reliance. No response from them. I'm sure the shipping back n forth for exchange would be more than its worth. Take Care
Hi, this appears to be a useful pot for camping etc, but you didn't put a link to where to buy it, or what brand? I'll put a thumb up anyway for the useful information.
Cool video. I just got that pot myself & look forward to using it. How do you like that Ka-Bar Spork? Take care and keep enjoying the great out of doors. - Marco
Thanks for watching 👍 mine has held up pretty great, and I’ve actually used it a lot. It’s definitely got a very heavy patina from use on the outside now, and a little on the inside. Functionally though it is still rock solid.
I use my 120 oz for cooking stews and beans with bacon, but I'd not want to cook on a jigsaw puzzle stove . I've folding ones , you spill your pots of foods a few times , you'll see why I don't use , puzzles like that
I'm disappointed. Just got my pathfinder bush pot that I ordered thru Amazon. The lid is so loose it rattles. I specifically bought this one over other bush pots because of the so-called tight lid fit. I like the handles and the quality of the pot. I probably will return it and see if Amazon can get me a better one. Pathfinder needs some better quality control.
Thanks for taking the time to comment. Unfortunately you’re not the first person I’ve heard this complaint from that’s purchased recently. Have you tried reaching out to Self Reliance Outfitters directly? I’m curious what they would have to say about it. Thanks for watching.
@@HappilyEverOutdoors Yes, I have reached out to them and they asked me to send pics so they could look at it. We have emailed and they are going to replace it. I haven't received it yet to see if the new one is better.
@@itywhat6499 i just saw a comment from dave canterbury himself saying that he prefers a loose lid on his pot so he doesnt have to wrestle it off when dealing with hot liquid lol

Glad to hear it all worked out. Thanks for watching, and for the update 👍👍
Great pot! I use mine when I'm out with my wife. It never failed me. Going solo & light I use something between 0.75-1.3l made of Ti. ATB, Gereon
