Best interview with this director about this film.Is this the whole interview? Please post in its entirety.
After viewing, I found the film immensely unsettling & i was not grateful to MG. But it was compelling & i gave thought much to it (unwillingly, I admit). Here i find how she describes her experience very helpful. I thank her for her effort & will watch it again (surely I can find the courage). I think we are ready for such films.

Yes, having children is a challenge and we all need breaks at times.
But to leave your children for 3 years - if a father did that, it would be called abandonment.
It is still abandonment if a mother does it.
Having affairs as if one deserves them - where are the person’s morals?
I feel like I lost 2 hours of my life watching this movie. The movie was “ unbearable “. I have actually suffered from serious mental illnesses after having my children. Post Partum Psychosis and Post Partum Dépression, and could never have imagined leaving. I needed help, yes, but to abandon them for any reason?
My granddaughter was abandoned by her father when she was three years old. The impact has been devastating, and she had her grandfather take his place until today and she is now 20 years old. Her grandpa is Dad to her.
I just felt anger towards the character of Leda. We know and have lived abandonment. She seemed like an extraordinarily selfish person, like my son-in-law. Yes, he is still alive. No contact. She is still not important enough, I guess.
    Terrible movie.
