Literally the exact video i was looking for thanks, not sure why the hammock company expects you to know this essential knot cause this was not in my instruction manual
Great tutorial. wont be slamming the floor during the night again
Thank you! A friend recently gifted me an ENO suspension system, and this is the perfect knot to interface my old hammock with the new setup.
Really glad it helped, make the most of the nice weather while it lasts!
mine came loose once again. great to know i can always come back to justin outdoors and fix it.
Thank you ! Just the info I needed in one search .
Hope you found it useful! Happy hammocking
The go to video for this straight to the point whenever I need it
Thanks for the kind comment. Glad you find it useful!

Good luck!
Thank you very much
Need to see some more how to videos of other outdoors skills.
About that time of year when it's time to start gearing up for this haha. Just couldn't remember how to fasten one of these. This helped me out a lot. Cheers buddy
Same here, them last few days of warmer weather have definitely got me thinking of getting out the gear again. A little cold for hammocking for me just yet but glad you found the video helpful. Happy camping!
I've just used 3mm para similarly, doubled through then an overhand off each end around the two lines, figure eight to cinch to the hammock then fed it through my pod/sleeping bags footbox and through a tiny hole soldered through a conpression bag, figure eight the other side to lock.
I have a further idea to seal it by tying a small loop of para around the outside and gently melting it to the comp bag strap with the hole through but haven't done that yet as this build is just a testbed.
I now have a rain gaiter and draught seal built in.
Would be interested to see this, it sounds like a good set up. Always useful combining good ideas to improve existing setups
@@jboutdoors8165 I've just put the zip into my 'good' bags foot end so a vid detailing the system shouldn't be too far off Marra, just need to sort the top end out 👍
Just uploaded a quickshot of the modification, you'll get the idea 🤘
