WHW Day 1 Milngavie to Drymen

June 29, 2024. Day one of our West Highland Way hike in the Scottish Highlands. This was a relatively easy day from the start in Milngavie just outside of Glasgow to Drymen. Stops along the way included the Glengoyne distillery, the Beech Tree cafe, and Turnip the Beet cafe. Weather was great, with cloudy skies, a light breeze, no rain, and no midges. Distance for the day was just over 15 miles which included a few off-trail side trips and the walk into Drymen town center.
