I've been trying to find an easy way to make a pot like the second one with oven baked clay, I would have never thought to use air dry over glass, so smart!
I wonder if it would be possible, after letting the pot dry for a few days, to dip your stamp in white paint and press it in the same mark ? (If that makes sense 😅) These are sooooo cute !!
Thank you! I’ve gotten water on mine and they have been fine. Just make sure you don’t drench them in water though. When I wash them I make sure to be really careful not to soak the planters in water and most of the time I’ll use like cleaning wipes to do it. And I used acrylic paint on them. 😊
Since I make these using glass containers I would say no. But I keep my plants in nursery pots and use these planters as cover pots so I never have an issue with root rot. But you could make these using plastic containers and add in a drainage hole.
I’ve only always just put the clay on the glass and it’s always just stuck on. I mean you probably could put glue on the glass if you really wanted to, but I don’t think it’s necessary
So I kept it the natural terracotta color that the clay dried as and then for the mushrooms I painted them in with the color vintage white by folk art.
Your video is good but with these planters how u plants survive bcus there is no hole down no drainage n plants cannot survive sticking is not good idea u have to remove clay from glass it’s just a suggestion bcus m a pottery artist I make planters from terracotta clay and stoneware clay
I keep my plants in their nursery pots and use these as basically their cover pots. So I take them out when it’s time to water & then stick them back in after. The planter with the little feet fits 3 inch nursery pots & the mushroom one fits 4 inch nursery pots :)

What is the plant you put in the first pot?
So I kept it the natural terracotta color that the clay dried as and then for the mushrooms I painted them in with the color vintage white by folk art.
@@IvettDIY no, I mean after it was made, the leafy plant you styled it with
@@bluewhale2575 oh my bad I read it wrong lol. its a philodendron micans
Will it be affected by water?
As long as you seal it, it should be fine. I get water on mine all the time and they are still intact.
@@IvettDIY Thank you.
@@IvettDIY thank you! I had the exact same question and was worried that water would affect it since it was for a large plant pot as well
is there a way to get the glass out after it dries or is it gonna have to stay in there? thanksss!!
You could try putting Plastic Wrap around the glass before you add on the clay and then before the clay has fully hardened slip it off

Is there certain paint you have to use for clay ?
I just use basic acrylic paint that you can get at Michaels or Joanna
