Nightfall: CFA-44 Test Flight at Farbanti - Ace Combat 7

- First half with ADMM, then EML.
The CFA is an aircraft of extremes. Ridiculous firepower, highly unstable, and a nightmarish enemy boss. No wonder it became a fan favorite to rival the ADF series.
Just like the Morgan, one superweapon's not enough. Along with the muted but exceptional IEWS, and a twin EML (with seperate reloads!), it brings the Macross Missile Massacre incarnate, the ADMM. Though still not the doomsday weapon from AC6, it's far better than in ACI and AH. It eats tank battalions for breakfast - Warlock would be proud of us.
For all that firepower, it trades some mobility. It's no slouch, but it is noticeably heavy. I hoped it'd be ridiculous like in AH, drifting almost uncontrollably, but you can't have everything.
And I'll be damned if it doesn't give us plenty as is.

So the trick of firing the ADMM sideways to not cause premature non target strikes still holds true.
Right you are. I lack experience with ADMM, and it shows.
I like to spin, looks cooler and it disperses the missiles pretty well.
Oh yeah i remembered this trick...
@@PSC4.1 i did this in AC6 too. God you feel like a bloody demon doing that. And it launches 12 mini-nukes, overpowered as hell
@@niekelsing I didn’t do it in 6 because of the weight issue, whenever you would go inverted you would slightly start to fall downwards, gets on my damn nerves.
Thanks to the CFA’s EMLs, Dual Wielder now takes on a whole new meaning...
Jackpot!
Think about it. The 44 in CFA-44 means 44 Magnum.
@@chengyunma4497 fascinating.
Kinda disappointed they dont call out the railgun with "SLASH!" anymore
1:55 just imagine how scary that would be if you where on that war ship, and you look over head to see that
even CIWS is terrified
THE SPEED IS 3000
C I W S HAD NO CHANCE
I mean, in a world where unreal pilots like Trigger exist, I just would be scared of anything that has wings
Come to think of it, the way the ADMMS are launched just makes Nosferatu look like a warship flying in the sky.
@@forcexjr1566 That's because it kinda is. It was built for solo air raids, so having a metric fuck ton of raw death makes sense
"Oh boy I love being a part of the Erusean Navy stationed in Farbanti"
*ADMM Knows Your Location*
The CFA really fits Trigger, fast and relentless, focused on putting as much firepower on the enemy as quickly as possible. Great addition to this game.
Agreed
imagine a world where ADMMs have the same tracking as multiplayer QAAMs
Macross intensifies
If that's the case, it's thee most P2W DLC of Ace Combat, period!
@@KKdessu I love it when my ADMMs are aimbots XD
@@KKdessu ADFX-01 would like a word with you

That was just called Ace Combat 6
The "One Man, One Army" of the super aircrafts of AC universe, while not as OP as in AC6, this thing still packs one bloody punch, it looks quite heavy for what i can see and not able to do PSM perfectly, which it makes sense since that's one of the aircraft's main flaws.
It feels like a super Su-33 if you think about it.
One of it's skins is the same as the Osean skin for the Su-33 as well. Too bad the Su-33 doesn't have a Strigon skin.
@@CsStrez Well, in the story of AC6 the Nosferatu was supposed to be a replacement for the Su-33s used by Strigon team, and if you think about it, it does looks like a Su-33 mixed with a Rafale M. It's design could be made in real life actually.
@@CsStrez This was the best chance to wiggle the Strigon skin in for the Su-33....
I was sorely disappointed about that..
Same thing with Sorcerer. SInce that skin is meant for the F-15 S/MTD (god bless the mods but still sucks that it isn't officially in-game), they could have given that skin for the F-15J instead.
Sorry for the reupload. UA-cam really does *not* agree with my editing methods lately. Left the hangar out to avoid further issues for now.
Tuga do you ever use the Su-57 at max mobility?
Hello! I hope you remember me as Corporal_Shephard. Well. I already want to buy this DLC too, but I'd rather wait for discounts in Steam. I have a couple of questions about the CFA-44, and one more about the set of parts for the Su-57. First question: How do you like the new plane? Second question: What did you like the most about it? And the third question: What kind of weapons will the players use in multiplayer on this plane mainly? These were the main questions about the new aircraft. There is one more minor one, but it concerns your set of parts for the Su-57. I need it to complete mission 11. You see, I still want to improve in this business. I was eager to break your record. Yesterday I only did that I passed 11 missions, but without success. IBIS interferes, which for some reason does not fly out of the valley, lags interfere, enemies interfere and everything in this spirit. I hope this sounds familiar to you. Hello from Russia!
It's okay i hope you upload another video
I like how the in universe reason for the CFA-44's "Nosferatu" nickname, was because people in Estovakia viewed it as a vampiric drain on their millitary budget.
You know, as opposed to the Airgaion, THE GIGANTIC FLYING AIRCRAFT/MISSILE-CARRIER!
One was a secret weapon and the other was fodder for the main character
Imagine the outrage if we spent the cost of an aircraft carrier on a single fighter.
It checks out
I like the CFA-44 but damn it handles like a truck, it feels so heavy somehow.
But at the times where you can unleash its payload, it's pure bliss.
Watching the ADMM converge on a ship around the same time as the missiles reach them is incredibly satisfying.
Also, that Mihaly move at 12:47
Nah, Mihai performed a post stall, a lil different
everyones talking about the ADMMs but nobody talks about how the machineguns on the this thing seem just as overpowered as all the machineguns were in AC6!!
I think it's just visual, though. It should do as much damage as the other slow (Russian/European) cannons.
@@TugaAvenger the enemy fighters were definitely going down in less than 2 seconds of of gun fire.
@@404cp I don't know if it's a placebo thing but I notice that the planes with slow ROF and small ammo for their MGs usually have faster TTKs.
It was at that day that the Sol squadron learned the meaning of the word relentless!
This craft is definitely... unique. It feels heavy, and there's a delay in terms of responsiveness, it also locks itself in turns, much like in AC6 with high-g, making using PSMs difficult.
But it certainly shines with its armaments! ADMM has regained some glory after Infinity and AH (Though keep it away from ships, it's not great against those) and the double EML are quite fun to play around with! IEWS is as solid as ever, but the Nosferatu's missile delay (As the pylons need to extend) kinda reduce its ability to spam standards.
Overall a very solid and unique plane, which I can appreciate!
The CFA-44 definitely ain't the best at 1v1 dogfight, or dogfighting in general, but it has great long range capability with it's specials~
@@lyonvensa very much so. It is the best A2G fighter with high mobility in the game
Your first sentence describes the SU-30m2
oh,so i used it entirely wrong this entire time by using it for dog fighting,d a m n
I wish we had a new harder difficulty to try this planes on.
I'm still disappointed you don't die in one missile on Ace. Been playing since AC5 and it feels so wrong
@@schul9169 Granted, the amount of missiles shot at you in AC7 is fucking insane compared to the older AC games, so I understand why they didn't opt for a 1-hit KO difficulty.
I want replay to be shown More than just after you complete a mission 😢

Don't worry, we got casual mode instead lmao
@@boltuxs2674 dont remind of that shit lol
I have once fired a salvo of ADMM to sol squad and I spawn killed two of them...
When your aircraft carries more ordinance than an entire air force.
These games were so fun.
Still are :)
I don't like how the ADMM's only destroy what looks like 4 targets max at a time. Not like in ace combat 6 where you can take out practically a whole base with the ADMM'S
It's mostly the fault of the 8AAM's lock stacking
It can be sort of avoided by fast target switching but it's still a pain to do
Ah yes, the CFA-44. The aircraft of choice if you want to absolutely obliterate an arsenal bird in under fifteen seconds
"You don't need to try and target every enemy."
*laughs in ADMM*
Where's the DRIVE, though? Disappointing.
The ADMM fires from on top and below the plane, so if you're near the ground, roll 90 degrees before firing _b
Good advice. I keep forgetting it myself, as I never used ADMM much in previous games.
I did, and thrust me, if you get used to the admm, you will be a monster of the skies ;)
Your choice of color and number is very pleasing as well
Albastru-Electrice CFA-44 "Nosferatu" (NATO code "Fandance") modern on-board stealth fighter equipped with an innovative weapon system. It looks like the Su-33 after going to the gym. He can perform many actions during missions, which is facilitated by ADMM missiles.
The problem with the CFA-44 is that this fighter originated in a country that just shook off the fall of the Ulysses asteroid, and then plunged into a civil war that brought a military junta to power. The development of the fighter took a huge amount of money. Reportedly, journalists who wanted to know something about CFA-44 were disappearing under mysterious circumstances. Only one prototype was built. It was to be the main fighter of the Sky Fleet and the "Strigon" squadron. But in the end, the Su-33 was used. And this specimen was used in the duel between Ilya Pasternak and "Talisman" during the liberation of Gracemeria and was destroyed.
In my opinion, only one fighter could compete with the CFA-44: the F-22N Sea Raptor. Considering the ability to perform multiple tasks during missions, the best one is Saab Gripen - the most universal fighter on the world.
And what additional skins should Gripen C/D/E/F/EW/M and its famous predecessor J35J Draken receive they have appeared in AC7? J35J Draken: O: Air superiority gray, E: Dark green-brown camouflage, SP: Desert camouflage from "Area 88", 7. "Espada 1", 8. "Cipher", Gripen C/D/F/EW/M: O: Standard Swedish Air Force camouflage/Gripen Maritime camouflage, E: Forest camouflage/Blue sea camouflage, SP: Colors of the Gripen prototype No. 5/Blue with yellow stripes, 7. "Wisna", 8. "Gryphus ", 9." Messer ", Gripen E:" Copy # 6002 camouflage "," Squadron Grendel "," Nordennavic "," Ustio ".
That was brilliantly executed
The difficult handling of the CFA-44 makes it an aircraft worthy only of the ace of aces combined with the payload it offers and it makes for a great Macross MC aircraft

Wonderful gameplay skills 👌 👏
Very nice.
Of all things, it’s the cannons on that bird that have my attention. The size of those rounds though!
Glad this Vampire is back !!!
From all 3 i enjoy this one the most, i love it.
I tried the Nosferatu on mission 19. Those drones never stood a chance.
Imagine the back in AC6 with 12 missiles
It truly is a beautiful beast.. though I can't help but question the original decision to have the massive delta-canard with wing area for days be such an unstable and drifty machine.
truely a man of culture, you even let the SOL's squad Split happen before you obliterated them, i can see you appreciate maneuvers.
You can't spawnkill them, they have plot armour until they spread.
@@TugaAvenger I'm pretty sure I was able to take out Sol 5 while they were still in formation with the X-02S EML

That mission became actual firework show
It finally came! ;D
As I said last night, that plane is beautiful.
The CFA has the clearest cockpit i ever seen
Damn the ADMM is hella cool
I definitely miss the big lens flares on each missile from 6's engine.
You are a master
from my experienced playing CFA-44 that it more mobile when in higher speeds... the more speed you have the better the maneuverability it gains... tho that high speed maneuverability will be bad on some missions (Mission 20 tunnel runs) it is still a beast plane with its super weapons...!
"Highly unstable" doesn't make it justice. Once you get into a stall, that thing drops like a sack of bricks.
The trick is to keep your throttle held to keep your speed up and help combat the ridiculous stall lock. Worked fantastically in AC6 but in AC7 the speed loss is more severe imo.
@@schul9169 cus Ace7 mechanics Are a JOKE
@@schul9169 It definitely requires a different approach compared to other planes. Usually you could just slow down and when you stall just push the throttle up a bit and you'd be good. Here, it requires a new mindset, which I find really cool.
Don't make hihg G turns whit this plane, it does not need it
Nothing bad ever happens to the Pasternaks!
*laughs in Garuda*
your true ace!!👍
I think this is the most powerful aircraft in AC, those double railguns and ADMM has no match!
Only in theory, this craft is too easy to stall in high G, once u stalm its all over
@@Kyubey_UwU Which one is the best plane in your opinion?
@@kaganmeiya2149 Rafale M and SU-35
CFA-44 it's no meant to use high G moves, it's extreme mobile, at least that was the case in ace combat 6
Did they add more lines for Wiseman? I've done at least 40 playthroughs and that's the first time I've heard a few of those
No. They trigger randomly. By different approaching of a mission you get not so usual lines.
I have to play this game again
Anyone else roll 90 degrees before loosing ADMMs to prevent them from smashing into the ground at low altitudes?
Learned that back in AC6 when I was watching playbacks of the missions I did. Before that I was wondering why there were less missles when I was tearing through the Estovakians at low altitudes.
they... *they what*
beautiful and strange aircraft
Me whenever I use this jet:
"Look at me. I'm the Arsenal Bird now."
I wish the missiles still had the massive yellow flare still
This craft was a terrifying craft in any mission you put it in in AC6. The EML would allow you to kill anything in radar range in the air, this could be horribly exploited in the Selumna Peaks mission. just get them on your radar, slow to a crawl then line up the shot carefully, and dead. The ADMM's were great for anything else, and the craft's maneuverability was unmatched. The CFA-44 had its quirks, such as the High-G turning problem, and the ADMM launch pattern, but overall you feel like a vengeful god of war carving paths of destruction across the battlefield when using it.
You didn't even need to get them on radar, you see a glint, you shoot and glint is no more
@@Massakre8492nd I never knew that, I will have to try that.
Ahh!!! A true men of culture i see...
I actually miss the explosion from ADMM in Ace 6
Don't worry it'll be modded to its Former glory anyway
Wish they had a single player & multiplayer version of the op weapons
Much better!
So they nerfed IEWS? A sad, yet not entirely unexpected outcome.
So would you say this replaces the Morgan or does it still have some pros over the Nosferatu?
The Morgan is more mobile and easier to fly than the Nosferatu along with having more charges of the IEWS, so it's not obsolete or anything. ADMM is outstanding as Tuga has demonstrated, and probably outclasses the MPBM but TLS might again be more comfortable for some as it has no travel time.

Quick turns you gotta press Both speed up and Slow Down Triggers/Or just slow Down .
With Gun Fire you just gotta really Steady your Aim🤷♂️
Ace of Aces mode please. I'd love to give all these cool DLC planes a shot (I love how they changed the XFA-27) but I feel it'd give me an unfair advantage on Ace difficulty. In a psm, pull up - roll 90° - push down
@@acewyvern3489 thats not the problem. The Drifting after getting off High G turns are still a thing since AC6 meaning you can't do PSM at all while turning unlike the other planes. Its one of the flaws of the plane.

I've always wanted to se Ace05 in Ace06 Graphics !!
Just like Halo anniversary, especially ace5/Zero because their Flight models and Pink afterburners were A Turn Off !
Is that updated EML targeting?
So a few months late I finally get a hold of these planes and can offer my super informative opinion.
If the ADF-11F was an elegant sword, dashing and weaving across its enemies' blows and inflicting grievous wounds in the process, the Nosferatu is a goddamn war axe, throwing all elegance out the window in favor of completely destroying enemies before you.
That is to say, this craft trades stability and mobility for _raw fucking power._ This thing's weapons do an excellent job of annihilating enemies. The ADMM has been buffed to a state somewhere in between AC6 and Infinity, and do a great job annihilating swarms of slow enemies. And we have an improved railgun which can fire in bursts of two, which is... Terrifying. And we have IEWS for some reason but it's not... Great on this plane.
There's one key thing you have to accept with this plane - It may not be a super big dummy thicc boi like my sexy baby Raven, but this thing is HEAVY. It drags in turns, it has a rough turning circle, and it can fall out of the sky just by turning too hard at low speeds. It is its biggest weakness by far. I fondly recall my first test flight where I stalled straight into the ground about a minute into the mission. It's dangerous. This plane is about overwhelming enemies with sheer firepower through its main special weapons. In a direct dogfight, you will quickly find yourself getting outturned, stalled, and nailed as a result. Not bad, but definitely tough to use. It does have some great highs, and I take great delight in its railgun. Solid plane overall.
The name is what the plane looks like.
Its Draculas jet fighter!
The name actually comes from how the development of the plane drained tons of money like a vampire draining blood
it's 1 major Achilles heel is that you can easily stall it at the WORST possible moments. I've already lost track how many dogfights i lost cuz it would stall as if had a clutch and a manual gearbox
Right, in the middle of a dogfight and stalling is so annoying.
That is part of the Magic in this plane, when you master it it becomes in the most letal overkilling plane machine of the game
AAAHHHH THEY ADDED THE PLANES!? FUCK! IM REDOWNLOADING AC7 I BEEN WAITING FOR ! O_O

Between the X-02S and CFA-44 which one has a better EML? Looks like a Single ADMM barrage decimate ships.
CFA-44 in my opinion so far (still testing it out) has the better EML because you get two shots instead one.
It's looking like the CFA's are superior. Takes one shot to down most aircraft, and two for the beefier ones. That being said, it may just be me, but the X-02S's EML is a lot easier to aim. It could be because the CFA's alternates between left and right barrels, which means you have to compensate for it in your aim. In the X-02S, you only really need to aim slightly up above your target at close ranges because it's on the underbelly.
only in mp they balance the eml for CFA, both 2 shots does half the dmg, while x-02s does full dmg.
If you don't mind, what option parts did you use for this?
Variable Cycle Engine, Flap, Superior Maneuverability, Queen's Custom, MSL reload and homing, SPW reload, and EML hit radius.
if AC7 dlc Aircraft was real, F22 are sure looking for future retirement
And Ukraine will use the CFA-44 to spam ADMM against Russian convoy
