Thoughts on Wynn's New $75 Buffet?
Would you try it?
Ruby, is it possible to come at 12:30 for the brunch & then get crab legs at 1 p.m.? Or do they kick out the brunch people?
It looks amazing
Absolutely, thank you for the review, great job.
No
Definitely would try it however my favorite buffet that you've reviewed is the one at the M. I'm dying to try that one. 🦞🥂
How to get it cheaper: Take the last brunch reservation at 11:45am and pay the brunch price which is 24$ cheaper. Wynn buffet allows you to stay for 2 hours so you get to stay until 1:45pm. Seafood lunch/dinner starts at 1pm, so you can start slow, pay the lower brunch price, and enjoy the seafood buffet.
So don’t eat much for an hour and half just chilling out ?
Stop being a disgrace and just pay for it.
@@colleenhaggerty4064 you get the endless drinks and get loaded while having a few apps then crush seafood for 45 minutes 😂
@@colleenhaggerty4064 Wynn buffet, like most buffets doesn't switch out the entire 100% of the menu between brunch/lunch and dinner. 90% of items gradually shift over hours, and 10% of key items are added/removed at specific times (i.e. seafood added at 1pm. omelets removed at 1). This means that almost the entire Asian, Latin and dessert sections remains the same. So here is what you do: you arrive at 11:45am. 15 minutes to get a table, get seated and scout options. For 1 hour you start eating the steaks, ducks, briskets, tacos, etc. that you would usually order regardless, but you play smart and leave space for seafood that would be introduced later at 1pm. At 1pm you get the newly arrived seafood, and finish your buffet visit on that note.
Fyi, they're not stupid, they don't put out the good stuff until after 2:00pm
The editing is *chefs kiss* when Ruby says “I love lamb” and the Steve Carrell character from Anchorman pops in. 😂
Times have definitely changed. In 2003, the Rio offered the world buffet for $14.00. twenty-four food stations serving food from different places. It included a seafood station. It was heaven.😊😊
Imo 1999-2005 vegas was probably the best times for the place. Cheaper prices (better value) less BS commercial homogenization of the casinos and strip, and better gambling. It shows that like 3 companies own the whole place
And today the Rio is one of the worst maintained hotels in town, and you can have a room for as little as $10 a night if you’re willing to fight with the rats. If you aren’t seeing Penn and Teller, avoid Rio like the plague. I also remember when it was great, tho
@@monkeyballs512 that's a real shame.
Rio had a great buffet back in the day...Vegas is nothing but a scam these days...the "last great days" of Vegas were the '80s and '90s...starting in early 2000s...Vegas decided to jack up the prices...no longer a place for deals.
@@monkeyballs512 yea, we thought it was closed last time there, didn't even have lights on
The Wynn never disappoints! TY Ruby for trying a wide variety of things, it all looks scrumptious!!
I'm a true southerner, red velvet cake is made with regular cocoa powder and red food coloring
Yeah, I used to have a cottage baking business and before this video, I'd never even heard of cocoa rouge, which is apparently just what Guittard, an American chocolate producer, calls their Dutch-processed cocoa. As you said, red velvet cake is and has traditionally been made with cocoa powder and red food coloring. Dutch-processed cocoa powder can help enhance the color, but I've made it plenty of times with regular cocoa powder. During WWII, bakers used boil beet juices to enhance the color, and there are some recipes that include beet juice.
As always, Team Ruby for the win!! Consistently the best reviews and Vegas content on YT!!!
I love her she is awesome. She describes everything in hotel and shows u helps a lot. Keep doing what you’re doing you are awesome. Just subscribed
Always liked Wynn buffet before and this one looks totally delicious! Thank you for eating 😂
I love watching the reviews you do for the buffet’s, so well done. Keep up the good work Ruby.
Thanks for the thorough review!
Honey walnut shrimp is a staple in Chinese restaurants -- the batter here looked thicker than it usually is (it's supposed to have a very light batter and more "crunch" from the prawn meat, if that makes sense).
Pronunciation for "char siu" is actually cha (like in "cha-cha"). The "si" in "siu" is similar to "sill" (like in window sill) and the "iu" is like "eww" (when you see something gross, but not an extended ewwww). Or like the female sheep "ewe."
We usually stay at the Wynn when visiting and love it. However, there is no way I could eat any where near $75 worth. They should offer 1/2 price one plate buffet for those of us who can’t eat that much.
But at the Wynn ( which I also love and have stayed at many times) one entree can cost that or more.
that would be impossible cause they don't have time to see if you really are a light eater or heavy ...since people aren't honest....i would not eat for a few days than go .lol
I preferred the customer experience at Wynn seafood buffet slightly over Bacchanal-here’s why. The Wynn buffet was a more beautiful venue in my opinion, was calmer/quieter and felt much less crowded even though it was very busy-they didn’t have the tables as tightly packed in as Bacchanal where I was just inches away from other tables that I felt like I was eating with strangers-very awkward with no privacy. Also at Wynn they give you a big cloth napkin with your place setting (only paper napkins at Bacchanal), AND the time limit at Wynn is 2 hrs versus 1.5 hrs at Bacchanal. The seafood and other offerings at both buffets are excellent. For me it’s how they handle the little things that can make or break the whole experience.
Bacchanal has paper napkins? For a hundred dollars? Wow.
Big fan of cloth napkins. ❤
@@kristavaillancourt6313right? How cheesy. 😅
@@annking8633 It's Vegas, Baby. "Cheesy" is the norm!
Bacchanal has warm crab which is the game changer for me. And trust me I promise you Caesars does not enforce the whole 90 minute rule. Never.
I ate at the "Seafood spectacular" back in July, when it really was new. The Wynn raised the buffet price and made a few additions, but most of what they have is the same as their old buffet. Take it from someone who loves buffets... it's not worth the money. I love the Wynn -- I usually stay there when I go to Vegas -- but there are better seafood buffets in Las Vegas. And, if you're going to spend $75, you can get a much better meal at other Wynn/Encore restaurants.
Thank you. I completely agree. And she's actually reviewed some much better, and cheaper, seafood buffets than this.
What would you recommend?
@@CarmenBuenrostro If I am going to spend $75 at Wynn/Encore, I would go to Sinatra, which is in the Encore. Better quality of food and a much nicer setting.
I think if all a person ate all pne could eat, was lobster and crab... You'd probably be getting your money worth.
AGREE !!! Not a shell fish fan. If you don't eat crab legs, or lobster, then it's not worth it.
Huge thanks to Team Ruby for trying almost everything. That sure was A LOT of items. Even I'm tired now! 😅
Thanks Ruby, for doing this review! The food sounds so terrific. When my daughter and I make our trip to Vegas, we will definitely go to this seafood buffet! The price is reasonable for what you are describing. We love salmon, not so much the crab legs. We do like a well prepared crab cake with remoulade. I was so pleased to here you enjoy lamb. I love it! When we go to a restaurant go a special occasion, I always chose one that serves lamb. Gee another great time with you❤
OMG I’m hungry!
We are coming next Saturday for a week. Hope we can get to this… thank you Ruby🥰
Love watching for 'next vk' ideas! Keep them coming Ruby! ❤ from WI
Another great review, Ruby!! Based on your recommendations, I would definitely give this a try!
I'm in vegas for the first time with my wife for our anniversary. Blown away by the food here. Went to this buffet last night before we went and saw O. Believe me when I tell you this buffet has some of the best food we have ever had! Worth every penny. Only issue was I wish I had a bigger stomach to eat more!
I was there today too. If you loved this buffet, try Bacchanal!
Steve Wynn barred from Vegas 'smells like fish, tastes like chicken.' Careful of muggers / fake bums / pick pockets / card flickers / scams-beggars especially exit Caesars Palace.
@@Garber95 it was between those two! I was reading that one was a close second to the best. Next time we go to Vegas definitely will try it!
Everything looked delicious. I was in Vegas a week and a half ago. I wish I had more time, because I definitely would have visited that buffet. Thanks Ruby, for your review.😊
Buffet looks amazing! I'd definitely spend $75 to enjoy that 🤩 seal of approval as well from Mr Ruby on the Shrimp so it must be good! 😊 thank Ruby for sharing - watching this has made me hungry now! 😅 keep up the fantastic content 🎉
Ruby does an incredible job. I have just discovered this channel and I love it. She has a great style of informing the audience and is very relatable. She would be great for the national stage or network TV. She might want to see if she can translate her UA-cam specialty as a contributing social correspondent for the Today Show or Good Morning America. Traveling around the country trying the best buffets. The content is super helpful as now I know what to order and what I should pass on. The foods look amazing in all her content!
Ruby is the gold standard for reviews, so helpful
😊
Use Dr Dre
Makin' me hungry! I'll definitely hit that buffet when I get to Vegas.
Good review, Ruby. I would probably pass up the Wynn but I appreciate your comments. Thanks!
We ate at the Wynn buffet several years ago and we both love bread pudding 😊….having been to Vegas on our girls trip about 17 times we have eaten at almost every buffet on the strip and off. We (bread pudding officionados that we are ) we voted the Wynn’s bread pudding the very best! 😊😊
Me and my boyfriend went to the Seafood Gourmet Buffett at the Wynn two weeks ago and loved it! He grew up in Vietnam and tried their Pho and said it was fantastic! We definitely overindulged and felt it the morning after haha.
I wholeheartedly disagree with Ruby's opinion that the Wynn buffet is the best in Las Vegas. The buffet at the Bacchanal at Caesar's is much better in my opinion. If you happen to be in Los Angeles on a Saturday evening and love seafood and prime rib, you need to check out Cafe SIerra at the Hilton in Universal City for the seafood and prime rib buffet, It is super expensive at $139.00 but excellent quality for king crab legs, lobster, sushi and sashimi, prime rib and so much more.
As always Ruby, this was an excellent video .
That looks utterly fabulous, makes me really wish I enjoyed seafood :) The last time I was in Vegas I saw people walking around with huge plates of crab legs and they were having a glorious time. Thanks so much for the review, feeling some serious travel envy, has been too long!
Thank you so much for your videos. We just go back from Vegas yesterday and we had so much good food thanks to you.
We went to this buffet last week and absolutely loved it. I loved everything about it. And the staff were so upbeat and happy to be there. I didn’t get to try the other half of the buffet bc there were soooo many things for me that I was completely stuffed and I’m a 100% gluten free.
Considering how expensive food is in Vegas, I'd definitely pay 75 for this buffet.
Agree.
You were the person that also liked to pay seven dollars for dozen eggs I guess right? And five dollars a gallon for gas? Seriously the only person that is OK with this type of price gouging or Biden voters.
Indeed
Very interested in the caviar bar actually! Can I assume they offer wine / champagne for added fee?
Definitely good food we just in Vegas September 10 we ate at Wynn Buffet food was delicious.after viewing our credit card we charge $162 twice we disputed one of $162.very busy we made reservations.I give them 5 star ⭐️
Hi Ruby. Great program you have a natural talent for interesting detail and info. 🎉
Great food review, Thank you Ruby😊
Had the Buffet for my birthday a few years ago, added on the prosecco/champagne. I was so full and a bit tipsy, worth it!!!!
I really like the expanded hours for the dinner buffet. Since it starts at 1p, the crowds seem more manageable. I've only seen long lines during holidays and some weekends.
I would try it..but I would end up just eating crab legs and shrimp in various forms the whole time and nothing else lol. It all looked so good though and the place itself looked well organized and cleaned, great video!
Looked amazing. The fork, spoon and knife looked huge almost like garden tools - LOL.
I think the camera is distorting the length of whatever is in the bottom-right hand corner…even her phone looks super long lol
I have eaten here several times. The utensils are huge!
Did try it. It was fabulous! Definitely worth it!
Definitely looks a bit more inviting than the Bacchanal over @ Caesars. I went there in June and was underwhelmed to say the least.
Very thorough review. You made me hungry
The food was amazing. Went there for my birthday and my family enjoyed it very much! 😊
Glad I got tail end of Vegas great days. Stationed at Luke AFB in 1975 would get paid went to Vegas 3 dayer cheap hotels 99 cent breakfast , 2.99 all you can eat lunch and dinner buffets
multiply 1975 prices by 6 to get inflation today
YES! $2,99 buffets. That's what I'm talkin bout. Those were the days, my friend
Keep in mind, all the food prices have went up up, everywhere in las Vegas
Looks amazing. Can't wait to try the new additions.
Hi Ruby. Oh how wonderful. Mmmm how I wish I could go to Vegas and eat all of that great food
Your buffet reviews are our favorite 😊 Your descriptions of the food are so interesting, detailed and professional. And your nails look amazing too! 💅
I don't think $75 is too bad. I'd pay that. I was in Corfu last week, and while at the buffet breakfast, I found myself dishing the food on the plate and reveiwing it "Greek yogurt, that looks good, the fruit looks fresh, let's try some of that". I was getting some strange looks 😄
The pasta in the pork belly mac & cheese looks like it is rigatoni
@20:50 Ma'am I absolutely love your mid western charm. "It's gamey, but I do not mean that in a bad way" 😂😂Great review thank you for the detail and video!
-From a lamb lover who thinks gamey-ness starts at deer and elk, not at mutton
So true! I remember my mother describing lamb as somewhat "gamey." And then when I first tried venison, I found out what "gamey" ACTUALLY meant. 😂
BTW...Suckling pig is basically a baby pig - like veal is baby cow or bull.
Lol, your description of Boursin cheese …it’s like a whipped cream cheese shaped like a timbale flavored with garlic and fine hers.Another great video, thx
I know, after she described it in the video I thought to myself, I don't think she's ever had Boursin. :) it's actually a light fluffy cream cheese with herbs and garlic in it.
@@jeanannsue7724 Yes, exactly …. fluffy is perfect…odd because she usually is very accurate with her descriptions…
Going there in a week. Glad your showing there Buffett going to have to try.❤️
I really want to go to this buffet, but I’m not the biggest seafood fan. Would it still be worth it with all the other options???
The buffet looks so good!
Great video! Makes me want to go!
Not!
I love watching your videos. It makes me want to go back to Vegas.
Ruby
Thanks for all of your videos especially on the buffets South Point is my favorite
Look forward to being in Vegas next month!!!
Oh my lord!!! Everything looks so amazing!! Ms Ruby you are a great food critic.
Excellent review, thanks Rudy! 😊
Thank you for your service.
"Long noodle" was rigatoni
I've always wanted to go there. It looks fantastic, but I don't think I could eat enough at one sitting to get my moneys worth.
It is very worth it considering what everything cost individually here in Las Vegas. Any dessert or coffee i buy is $10 average. I just spent $40 on 2 slices of pizza and a salad lol at a cafe in Paris hotel. Anyone who says this buffet is overpriced just do not belong in Vegas. Sorry. I'm broke too. I'm broke just watching this video 😂😂 but idc I'm eating here tomorrow and never coming back again 😂😂❤❤
How come I don’t see fresh oysters or any oysters dishes
This food looks good! But what really catches my eye… Is the fork! I love good heavy silverware… I’m a weirdo. I like the curve on them. 😊
This buffet looks amazing. Thanks for the review.🧡
Ruby lookin so fierce with that Gucci bag!!! LOVE IT!!
You’re "AMAZING “😉
Great job!! Love your channel. You’re so genuine, a joy to watch!
Hadn't heard of Steamship before. Apparently it was/is also known as Baron of Beef. Talk about back to the 60s/70s....
Are you sure wobbling into the Restaurant is a good idea ?.
How far in advance do you reserve? I tried making a reservation for May and it says unavailable.
About your comment on Boursin cheese...Cheddar flavor? Boursin is a cow's milk cheese made in Normandy (Northern France). It is quite smilar to cream cheese & uses different herbs to define the flavor.
I agree. Boursin is nothing like cheddar. It's closer to a cream cheese with herbs and garlic. However, it's a mass-market cheese found in every supermarket and comes nowhere close to real farm-produced cheeses.
Wow looks sooo good wish i was there trying that fish and chips😂
MARKET PRICE FOR LOBSTER??? The Palms does a lobster buffet every week for only $65!!! I'm not saying this buffet isn't worth the $75, but omg nobody in their right mind should pay $100 (extra) for one lobster, "tableside" or not. Yikes...
I’ve just try Wynn seafood buffet but it’s nothing like bacanal
I would try it!!
I love your food descriptions- I’d love to get your take on all the steakhouses and celebrity establishments in Vegas. Your opinions are first-rate.
Was there a time limit? Also, how would you compare this Seafood Spectacular to the Seafood Buffet you did at the M?
Read the fine print on menu at beginning of vid.
thanks@@ScratchGlass9
2 hour maximum time allowed
Thank You@@iloveamerica3917
Ate at the Wynn 3 weeks ago … absolutely delicious. Only go there for buffet!! Caviar really good too
Tell me more about the caviar bar please!!
i'll prolly dip a pizza into dat lobster stew! good winter time meal!
Hi ruby, taking a chance here hoping you reply but what do you recommend the Wynn brunch buffet or the seafood spectacular buffet?
The Wynn buffet has always had the best sushi.
For $75, I would have eaten the cavair, oysters, crab legs and a nice green salad...
then go back for more caviar, oysters, crab legs and sushi.
If I had space then I would eat lamb and salad
if I still had space...dessert.
That's just me. : )
Golly, lamb stew and leg of lamb! I love lamb as well.
Question: as someone who needs to eat gluten free friendly, is everything labeled on the buffet?
So by your opinion which is the best buffet in Vegas?ours use to be the Rio but unfortunately it's no longer running.😢
It looks delicious!
is the seafood buffet still there at the WYNN? my question is from OCTOBER 17
Consider having a GUEST with you at the BUFFET ... this gives the opportunity for all of us to learn about the other food options as well as hear more opinions 😊 and you won't become so full 😋
Her husband is with her. You stupid on purpose?
Her husband is there, he films and eats
Great job Ruby!!
That is a buffet full of foods in Las Vegas.
My wife and I are coming for U2 and MNF in a week and a half; first time in VEGAS!
Any recommendations for fun, cheap eats and experiences?!?
Staying near the Sphere.
Thank you so much!
Would definitely pay $75 bucks for this!! Looks awesome!!
Is there anywhere in Vegas where you can get king crab buffet
This video made us hungry we've got to go dining this weekend. Thanks
Nice to have met you at the Wynn Buffet, great video.
Curious...I am Platinum with Wynn so I go in the short line. At what time do they cut off brunch and start charging the 1:00 price?
Is the crab and lobster offered all days or weekends only?
I love your videos! I'm a new subscriber and have only seen 3 of your reviews but I've enjoyed them all. I'm coming to Las Vegas for a few days in May and really wanted to try the Wynn Buffet, but I'm 69 and my stomach keeps shrinking the older I get. I'd probably be the best deal Wynn could hope for because I get full with about half a plate full of food! You are so beautiful and in such great shape, but I can't figure out how you eat so much and still look like a million bucks! Any advice on how I could get my $75 worth of food into my little stomach? I'm 5'10 and 170 pounds so there has to be a way! lol Thanks! Steve from Utah!
would love to hear what Mr ruby thinks of some of the food some time........Thanks for the great channel11!
Guava is nothing like grapefruit lol. Grapefruit is acidic and nasty to me but I LOVE guava. It has its own flavor. Great video ruby
