I've been twice and have had 2 totally different experiences. First time was 1/27/22 and it was 5 star and totally worth the price. The next time was 4/10/22, and if it was my first time, I probably wouldn't have went again.
Yes! But being from Wyoming means I don’t have much experience with more complex and high end restaurants… so my opinion is maybe not the best for this
Hi Ruby, I celebrated my 60th birthday there. Was disappointed that the Chinese and Japanese sections were closed when we were there. The meat section and seafood section made up for the loss. The price discount was nice. However, what made the whole dinner worthwhile was that I met you there while you were working on the video! I turned into a huge Fanboy when I recognized you. We used your videos to plan our Vegas trip. You’re so nice and cool. We talked about you all during our Vegas stay. Happy subscriber!
When you are paying $79+, I always check what they are serving that day. My experience their Japanese availability is good and many nigiri choices. I don’t go for “Rolls” much as that is an “American” conception. The Chinese choices are good too.
I believe they had a water issue a few weeks ago? They cancelled our reservation, but thankfully got a reservation a few days later! But let me say.... It was INCREDIBLE! I didn't realize the had closed some of the section down till we left the buffet. I hope they fix it and get it back soon!
Can I just commend you on your knowledge of the variety of dishes and being able to explain ingredients so well. You are able to hold our attention throughout the entire video. I swear you need to start looking at getting yourself into a spot on the Food Network!
You showed all items, described the taste, texture, smell, and told/ showed us how the meat fell off the fork or cut through the meats. The sides and tacos, pastas, salads look fresh, delicious. I SURE will go based on this video.😊
It was great meeting and chatting with you at the Bacchanal. My sister and I were the ones sitting at the table next to you. We made reservations and were seated immediately. Your review was on point. My least favorite thing on the seafood bar was the lobster. It was dry and not sweet enough. I live in New England so I'm a little fussy when it comes to lobster. My favorite items were the brisket, bone marrow, pork belly the little tacos and the ceviche. The ube cake was amazing. I was dissapointed that the Asian and Mediterranian stations were closed at first but the discount was nice. By the time we finished eating I didn't miss them at all.
OMG our Bacchanal buffet review is coming out tomorrow, and I must say, the heavy discount due to the Asian and Mediterranean section being closed definitely made the buffet more worth it. Had it been full price, it would have been a harder pill to swallow. You are so right though, if you go for the seafood section, you'll definitely get your moneys worth. Excellent review Ruby, loved it! 😃
I don't think that most people are concerned about $20. No Asian and Med leaves a big hole in the menu. Personally I don't like cold lobster. I could eat them out of business if the more warm. I can also get crab legs and shrimp at any inexpensive buffet. Also I would be disappointed that no raw Oysters or Clams. Not usually a meat guy at the buffet but the meat looked good, but I would rather go to a good steak house for meat. Head to LV in July and you gave me a lot to think about.
I am still raving about the slice of Prime Rib I had from the buffet. That would easily run $50 at a nice steak house. YUM!! The truffle roasted chicken was also amazing. Then... Came the crab legs. Oh those crab legs! Bone marrow and everything!! The bananas foster crepe sent me into a coma. I seriously went to heaven. I wish I could have had 3 more of them. 😂😂😂😂 Best buffet hands down.
@@dannythemedic they had a water issue a few weeks ago. Not sure what it was, but they literally shut the buffet down for 2 days and cancelled our reservation. We got in the day they reopened. I assume whatever it was that happened, it was serious enough for it to still be closed as I type this.
I'm a Las Vegas buffet fan and can't get enough of all the varieties of eats! Haven't been there in about 7 years and can't wait to go back!! Just came across your channel and want to live vicariously through your videos!!! Great job!! Just subscribed!!!
Your food evaluations are a head above what others do which leads me to feel you have some experience/training with food. This makes your input on food worth watching.
Excellent review Ruby. My fav. restaurant in Vegas is now serving dinner - the Bellagio buffet !! Plz. go on your next trip & make sure u try the Chilean sea bass. Your food reviews & your culinary experience is excellent. Thx. 👍✌️
This has to be my favorite in depth food review out there. Love the food descriptions. No wonder you have so many views and subscribers. I watch every video you put out.
Ruby is always so well dressed and turned out, how are you not on cable? The best host in travel tv! I like that they narrowed the food down to just what they could do best. Maybe put a label on the oysters so people know it is spicy.
Had reservations there three weeks ago and The buffet was closed they had a water main break. We were heartbroken. It is our absolute favorite. Steam crabs and lobster and their shrimp are worth it alone. Amalfi was able to squeeze us in. It was early. That was amazing. Love your channel.
Palms give unlimited whole lobster AND lobster tail vs bacchanal is only claws, the claws I had have no flavor whatsoever like the one Ruby had, not to mention palms is still $15 cheaper
I think when I visited the Bacchanal Buffet about 3-4 years ago they had about 3-4 different types of crab. Snow crab, Dungeness crab, blue crab and stone crab claws. The rock oysters were amazing and probably my favorite.
The only buffet that I would get my money's worth was at Red Rocks (now closed and boarded up) for breakfast or brunch (allergic to seafood). So Bacchanal was never an option, even though I generally stay at Caesars palace and/or Paris. You are correct that Paris seems crowded on the promenade because A: A lot of people and B: narrow promenade. I love your insights to your travels and stays in Las Vegas!
I was in Vegas at the end of March and did go to the Bachannal Buffet. Everything was open and we really enjoyed the food. I loved the spoon bread, it definitely took me by surprise with the cheese and jalapeños 😋 I thought all the desserts looked phenomenal but were very light. I agree it is by design because you're so full by the time you get to the desserts. Thanks for sharing your experience!
Hi Ruby, i am new to your channel, and i absolutely love it. I used to go to Vegas alot , but i havent been there in years. I have gotten so much info about all the hotels and some of them still look the same. I am planning a trip and all of your info is so helpful . Keep the reviews coming. Take care
We are in Vegas a couple of times a year. We will be leaving soon. Have plans to visit some of your recommended places. Thank you for all you do to help others on their visit to Vegas.
I went this past December and the food was divine. I am a native Texan and give that brisket a 100% seal of approval. The Ube dessert is a top favorite too. The only thing I didn’t like was that it was one big line that formed throughout the sections that move sooooo slowly. In my past visits, you could just go up to the section you wanted and skip ones you didn’t, but one big solid line formed and the crowd didn’t seem like the type who would be kind to those who just wanted to cut in to let you grab that one item you wanted (people seemed a little on edge/annoyed). The drink refills were a bit on the slower side too, but all in all, I think you can definitely get your money’s worth and I would definitely visit again.
I enjoyed it. It was the only buffet I went to during my visit to Las Vegas, I stayed at the Best Western Plus Casino Royale across the street from the buffet. I must've had 15+ lobster claws because I just love lobster. The seafood station is where it's at. If you don't like seafood, I don't think it's worth it.
the closed sections were kind of weird but there was more than enough food so it wasn't a negative. the discount was a pleasant surprise since i did get a reservation saturday at 2 and was inside at 1:45. had some of the same deserts and i have never been annoyed at what i had. in no way has the quality went down
I agree. In fact I'd probably skip Bacchanal entirely if major sections were closed. I stay at Wynn/ Encore and and am perfectly happy never leaving the resort once I check in. The hassle of hotel-hopping in Vegas has never appealed to me.
I ate there in April and all sections were opened. The seafood was plentiful but wasn’t great to me. The carving station quality of meat also wasn’t really exciting. Everything else was really fun and good especially the dessert station! I think for Vegas prices it was actually fair. Some of my favorite things were the little small bites everywhere. Lots to try and great service. We made a reservation but showed up an hour early and they seated us. I would go back for sure
What's unfair at bacchanal is actually for the price they charge, they still put on an hour and a half limit, and they really wrote down the time you sit down on the table
Wow, I’m really glad you posted this, I’m going to wait until the buffet is back in full swing before I drop the $. My mom is vegan and most of the stuff she could eat was in the Mediterranean section 😔
I bring home all my Bacchanal tiny dessert containers. They're so cute. I make tiny puddings to put in each when I have my own dinner parties, and the tiny plastic containers are a conversation piece!
We were there end of May and yes, I wouldn't recommend this buffet due to price for quality. The selection is vast and great, but the quality seemed off. My friend and I were not that impressed. The Bellagio buffet was better in our opinion.
Hi Ruby, I just came home this morning after staying at Ceasars since Weds. went to Bacchanal twice everything was open and excellent! If you have a Diamond or higher card you don't need a res. PS followed a lot of your former tips before we went. If you haven't tried Peppermill please do, we went Sunday 6/5 it was great Like a diner on acid.
Hey Ruby! I enjoy watching you buffet videos. Are you a pastry chef? You sure know what your talking about when it comes to food! Love listening to you feedback 👍 keep posting ❤️❤️
Took my family here a few weeks ago. They cancelled our reservation due to a water issue. Thankfully we were able to get rebooked 2 days later. Which explains why I missed out on the Chinese and Japanese section! Anyways, let me just say.... The Bacchanal is by far the best buffet I have ever been to. Those sweet crab legs and prime rib were insane! And the Bananas Foster Crepe was to die for!
I was there last Monday. I made a reservation about a month out for 4:15pm, we checked in around 3:45pm and was sat immediately. But I was sooooo disappointed!!! I know they cut the price since they stopped serving some food but damn, I wish they had everything. The only thing I liked was the crab and gelato. Everything else was bland. I’ll only go back if they bring back more food options. I actually ran into you on the strip. I had bright pink hair 💖🤪
We saw the strangest thing at Bacchanal. This man had a reserved table behind us, an older gentleman, and was there prior to us showing up and was still there after we left. He kept ordering literal trays of beverages - waters, cokes, coffee - and he drank it all. I swear we saw him slam back 14 glasses of water.
Thank you, I learned something new this morning. I thought I’ve tried every type of meat out there, but I had never heard of steamship, had to look it up. Love Bacchanal, but a bit pricey pre-Covid. Interesting that two of the stations were down. Enjoyed your video…
Hey RUBY I Judge a good hotel also by its room service . We order room service , breakfast , lunch , dinner ... Bellagio , Palazzo . Both Excellent service .
I recall getting so overwhelmed at the dessert bar & taking way too many. They should just do trays with all those little plates that don't fit on your small plate. I was sad when we went last year in June. They had just ran out of the scallops on the shell and I didn't get to try them but we ate for hours and were so stuffed.
We just had the Wynn buffet last week which was simply superb and excellent value at $49 however one thing which is clear is that Bacchanal has a wider variety of options (even though Wynn has a lot too). I'll therefore definitely try the Bacchanal buffet next time I visit Vegas.
I'm confused; You kept referring to the "Raw Seafood Bar". My son and I went in early May and I'm pretty sure the Crab and Lobster are cooked. We really liked the selection of Ceviche and the bone marrow. We tried small quantities of a ton of different foods we don't normally see in Southern Oregon where we live. I liked how the desserts were small so you could try several.
I thought the Asian and Mediterranean section were about the best parts. I sat next to the Asian section 3 times. I probably would’ve not gone in if I had heard that. disappointing. Thanks for this review…always good to hear your opinion.
HI Ruby great iTunes thank you for going to these places so we can see what they are serving and what it all looks like so we can make a better decision on where to. stay
I was curious about going there on my next trip, but now I'm leaning to no. There is an insane amount of places to eat in Vegas a stones throw from each other, best to watch good reviews like this.
I took my wife to the AYCE at the Palms. Golden Corral is better. Very disappointed. I was scared to try the Bacchanal after the AYCE mess. Let me just say, it was amazing. Everything was so good. Those crab legs though.... I ate enough to put crab on the endangered species list. Dessert.... Those crepes... OMG! I had the Bananas Foster Crepe... And it was the best thing I have ever eaten. I would definitely suggest trying it!
I was in Vegas two weeks ago and did a reservation, my reservation was cancelled less than two hours from dinner time due to issues with water. I had a group of friends that had a reservation 3 days after mine and they had the exact same thing happen to them.. disappointing.
Yes!! They cancelled my reservation too on my wife's birthday! That was the whole reason we came to Vegas. 😢 Thankfully, 3 days later we were able to go when they reopened. It was incredible. However they had a smaller area as the water problem area was closed. Not sure what the water issue was, but it must have been serious enough to close half the buffet down.
I've only had Crème Brûlée once & it had a decently hard shell · I was going 'tap tap' with the spoon. For years, I only had Crème Brûlée as a flavor, not the actual thing. Thought it was interesting... 🙂 - I do like the breaking-through of the shell 🙂
A lot of comments complaining about the $60 price, but a steak dinner and dessert will cost even more at a nice steakhouse. So comparatively speaking, this sounds quite reasonable for all variety of high quality food you get to choose from.
The last time I ate there was November 16, 2021. I booked it through Open Table which is good because you name the time and date. I felt the place went down hill. The Steamship was absolutely terrible. Could have used it as shoe leather. On top of that I got sick and had to run out of the place to the bathroom.
Girl, you gotta try the Wynn Buffet. We've been to both the Bacchanal and Wicked Spoon and now prefer the Wynn. Go before 3 pm for $45 a person and at 3 pm they switch to the dinner menu. The high end sushi, carving station, and sides were incredible. Their dessert quality kills the Bacchanal (example - the well crisped top layer on their creamy creme brulee). They also have some exotic flavors to their gelato. The atmosphere and price totally make this our go to Las Vegas Buffet!!! Love your videos.
We were there last week, the lobster claws were dry and spongy. Cold crab legs were sweet and delicious but not the steamed legs, they were just dry and salty. The sea snails were meaty and tasty.
I went at brunch time this past Friday, and felt like it wasn't worth it. If I knew about them having different items, I would have definitely paid the extra 15 bucks and go for dinner. Brunch doesn't have crab legs or lobster claws, so your big ticket items are gone. The other food was decent, just not $70 bucks decent. They did however kill it on the dessert!
Thanks Ruby for another great review. Personally, if I had to spend $60-$80 for a dinner, I would choose one good plate instead of a bunch of ''okay'' plates (but that's just me, I'm not a buffet fan). Will you be going to *Ellis Island* soon? 🥩
I don't care what buffet it is, if Travel Ruby don't like it, I"M NOT EATING THERE!! I also would love to tag along with yall to any buffet, yo!! Yall is beautiful
As I suspected, the quality of the food at the famous Bacchanal has NOT gone down. Their brisket is still legendary. However, their prices have increased by $24 since they reopened after the renovation. Brunch is now $64 and Dinner is a hefty $80. I used to always go to the brunch for $40 and eat more in two hours than I would the whole week, lol.
We have been to several buffets in Vegas, I don't think we've been to The Bacchanal. The meat looked awesome, and according to you was good. I hate seafood, cooked or raw, so I would avoid it. The meat and Mexican dishes sold me. I need to check it out. Thanks for the video!
I have been there 6 times in last three months and the quality is exceptional. I typically stay in Cesar's so it' convenient near the Octavious tower. The seafood and meat carving station are superb.
Was there back in Dec 2021, and I thought it was really good. Planning to go back at the end of June. Just curious, are they giving anyone estimates on when they expect the other stations to be re-opened? Happy they're reducing the price, but would still like to taste a little of everything. From comments and other vids, it looks like they are closed due to a water issue. But doesn't sound like they're saying when they expect to re-open them. Love the review videos!!!!
What I like about this channel is that there isn't a lot of chit chat. She tastes, and cuts to the chase quickly, and moves to the next item. I happen to LOVE the Asian food so I would have been very disappointed that it wast in operation. How does THAT happen......all the Asian chefs got sick at one time or what?
Sounds like the AYCE buffet is just as good. But lots of good choices. Enjoy !! Thanks the review. I’m looking for 1 buffet for my next trip. My daughter is a none eater (I’m Jealous cuz I love it all). But she loves meat. So I’m looking for 1 Buffett that’s worth it.
I went in to Vegas in July and I was looking forward to going because just a few weeks before I went I saw that they had oysters but they stopped having them right before I went and it looks like they haven’t had them since. It would be totally worth it because I can go to kings fish house and get 2 dozens for 70 bucks and I can easily put down 2 more dozen.
What do you guys think of Bacchanal Buffet? Worth the price?
Yes they worth.... All was beautifully presented and i believe super delicious 😋 😋
I've been twice and have had 2 totally different experiences. First time was 1/27/22 and it was 5 star and totally worth the price. The next time was 4/10/22, and if it was my first time, I probably wouldn't have went again.
Yes! But being from Wyoming means I don’t have much experience with more complex and high end restaurants… so my opinion is maybe not the best for this
Ate there myself.....worth every penny !
Jury is out as to quality. Jury is in about the ridiculous price.

They said it was some kind of water issue in the kitchen area. It was down multiple days when we were there

Awesome review, as always!
What an in depth and great review.
Great review! So thorough and helpful!
Food looks good!! But price went up!! Will visit soon. Thank you for your video.
Love your reviews!! Informative. We are planning a Vegas visit but on the fence about buffets. You look great!! ❤️
We just had the Wynn buffet last week which was simply superb and excellent value at $49 however one thing which is clear is that Bacchanal has a wider variety of options (even though Wynn has a lot too). I'll therefore definitely try the Bacchanal buffet next time I visit Vegas.
Aren’t the crab legs steamed rather than raw?
Yes, even the cold crab legs are cooked. 😂 I think she meant to just say "the seafood section."
Yeah once lobster, crab, and shrimp are red or pink then they are no longer raw.
yeah that stuff is steamed...no one in their right mind eats that raw
@@ChrisJohnson-hk6es Unfortunately for me, I'm allergic to shell fish. So I'm scouting for variety.
Awesome review. Going in Oct might try to get a reservation
Ate there last May and loved it.
Will be there this weekend!
I love your hair Ruby! Keep being great
I was in Vegas two weeks ago and did a reservation, my reservation was cancelled less than two hours from dinner time due to issues with water.
Awesome review Ruby, sorry we weren't able to eat there in April but they were 2 weeks out for reservations.
You do a great job Ruby in your videos
I'm with you on the gelato and ice cream. 4 ice creams definitely
I've only had Crème Brûlée once & it had a decently hard shell · I was going 'tap tap' with the spoon. For years, I only had Crème Brûlée as a flavor, not the actual thing. Thought it was interesting... 🙂 - I do like the breaking-through of the shell 🙂
Another awesome video!🤩🏆
Could you guys do an exploring Napa/Sonoma series??? Love your videos!
Used to be $32 pre 2020
Looks great! We got to get back in there and try it.
Our favorite buffet. We'll be back soon.
I have to agree with you Roger. I prefer a nice sit down.
I wouldn't pay that much for a meal in any case, but if I did then it would have to be an unlimited number of very good plates.
Another great review - that carving station! 👌🏻 And Ruby, you look gorgeous as always! Where’s your dress from?
I don't care what buffet it is, if Travel Ruby don't like it, I"M NOT EATING THERE!! I also would love to tag along with yall to any buffet, yo!! Yall is beautiful
As I suspected, the quality of the food at the famous Bacchanal has NOT gone down. Their brisket is still legendary. However, their prices have increased by $24 since they reopened after the renovation. Brunch is now $64 and Dinner is a hefty $80. I used to always go to the brunch for $40 and eat more in two hours than I would the whole week, lol.
This is making me want to go to Vegas again 😋
My daughter and I will be spending our 4th of July in Vegas which is next week and we want to check out this buffet.
Thanx for the review.
Suasana yang sangat bagus mall pengunjungnya sangat banyak sekali kawan
You are pretty awesome! Glad I subscribed.
Ruby is the best, makes me so hungry eating all that great food.
Did you work for Zagat's previously?
The price is right! Nice review
Well thank you for the review it looks good but I prefer the palms buffet
It's still a huge selection even with 2 stations closed, perhaps fewer items & cheaper price will help this buffet.
Your interesting Ruby, let's see how good you are at this 😎
You went right past the cream kale! It was soooo good there last week!
