I can't even tell you how much I appreciate this!! Honestly, it's so incredibly helpful to know that the extra effort put into each videos is not only noticed, but improves your experience as you watch them. Thank you so much! 💙
Thank you for this knitting 'short'! DPN's are so intimidating to me, so I'm glad the project can be completed with circular needles. Great video!
This video has helped fill in some gaps I didn’t know I had about magic loop knitting. “You don’t know what you don’t know” is so true with each new knitting project. Thanks so much
It is very helping!! I do that now, however the first 3 years I used the DPNs and hated them. Then I found magic loop for socks, and have never looked back. I bought a very good set of needles and always went to buy DpNs for whatever hat I was doing. I didnt really know what a set of needles could do. So I bought knitters pride snd many cords. Also the small set of Lantern moon needles and their lovely cords. When its time to decrease i take the needle off the 16 inches cord, and put it on a 32 or 40, and put a stopper at the end where the stitches are, and just knit until I am done the round snd the 16 in cord comes out. Then add your needle to the end of the long cord. Cords are sure cheaper than needles. And I still dont care for my first set of Addi Turbo. Beautiful slick needles. But prefer wood
Again thank you for these instructions
Thank you great lesson learned 😊
Thanks for this tutorial. I'm going to have to try it. I actually don't mind dpns. I've gotten used to them. But I definitely want to try magic loop, you make it look so simple!
Great tutorial Brittany! I like both magic loop and dpns. I was always hesitant to use dpns but finally got more comfortable by closing up my hats using them. I taught myself magic loop a couple of years ago and I really like it.! well as traveling loop. I also like 9 inch circulars too. This tutorial is very helpful to those wanting to learn this technique! Thanks for all you do! Have a great weekend!💞
Thankyou - this was very informative. I've been wanting to do magic loop, but been a bit afraid to try, it looked too complicated. But you fixed that . . . .I'm off to cast on right now!!!!😊
So helpful! I shall keep the ‘home position’ phrase in my mind now. I’ve been procrastinating trying the magic loop but your explanation is the push I needed, thank you!
I’m definitely coming back to this video once I start on the crown of my hat! I’m really enjoying that you have a separate knitting channel now 😊🧡
Thank you for this lesson.
I hate double pointed needles!
This seeems easier😊
Thank you. It helps. New to circular needles
This was so awesome so clear so helpful thank you I’ve been trying magic loop for years and you made it so nice and clear
ok tried this....LADDERS!!!!
Thanks! I ripped the crown up after breaking a double pointed needle and making tonnes of mistakes in the pattern.😂 Going to switch to 32" circulars now. Worst part is, I have knitted with magic poop (oops, loop) before and hated it. Still, I think its much preferable to the sheer chaos of DPNs.
I want to try knitting again so bad. I figured a hat was a good place to start but the thought of using dpns freaks me out. Im thankful for your video and the term “home position”. I have a question though. Couldn’t I just start out with 36” long needles?😊
Huge help! Thank you!
Awesome tip! Thanks!!
Thank you SO much
Thank you for this!!!!!!
How many loop in this cap
Which hat is that, is it in your videos, lovely ❤
uhm how did you start on the left but the needle was at the right when you pulled it?
Very helpful 👍
Glad it was helpful!
I'm knitting my first garment, which calls for increasing from 84 to over 500 stitches on a 32" needle. The pattern says nothing about Magic Loop or switching cord lengths, but I don't see how the increasing is possible without them. Anyway, thanks!
Hello, so I am knitting a folded rim so when I pick up the stitches to fold rim I am just doing it like magic loop socks . Knitting the magic loop way. Have 200? sts❤
Or just buy 20cm/7in fixed circs…. I love mine!
i don't have bigger circular needles
