Hi please make fun examples that make usderstand more about the bolts design like how many 3/4 bolts design equal to 1 in bolts Where we use 3/4 bolts Where we use 1 in bolts
Hey man, listened to your podcast with CEA and it really helped change my attitude in studying for the PE. I was getting frustrated when i first started study because I was getting a lot of the problems wrong but when you said "what do i get to learn today" in the podcast... that really hit me. Now im enjoying studying and your videos are awesome. I would be so lost navigating all these codes if it weren't for you taking the time to upload all these. Thank you.
Victor thanks for reaching out and letting me know. It means a lot to hear that these videos have been helping you out. Its so true about mindset. I felt the same way when i used to study and now i always enjoy the process. We are supposed to love what we do, but in engineering there are so many times that it seems impossible to have fun haha. I will continue to bring more content with positive energy for you all!
Why is it that every engineer loves the steel book they learned from? My old boss loved the old green one, I personally loves the old black one, you like the maroon color one.
Hi Carolina - re-read it carefully - it says unthreaded body area of bolt or threaded part. aka its saying take the gross area of the (bolt or threaded part). when they say threaded part they are not referring to the threads of a bolt but to a threaded rod if that was used in lieu of a bolt. very tricky
Hi I was wondering if you can have a Beam to Column Web Moment Connection? Been looking around the manual, but I can't seem to find a straight answer. I have a cantilever but I need my column to be oriented for my SMRF. What do you think?
bruh this guy loves the Steel Manual....

You are amazing man, Thank you for the help.
No problem!
Thanks for your lectures
Glad you like them!
This is gold
Thank you !
You're welcome!
Please video about where every steel cross section used
Comparation about cross section shapes (buckling compression...))
Ab says unthreaded body or threaded part? shouldn't we using threaded?

How support steel detailing. Please post some videos . Please

If we use gross bolt area for tensile strength check, what is net tensile area for?
When you were getting the area from table 7-17, why did you use the bolt diameter of 3/4 and not 1/2?
Part 1 called for a 3/4" dia bolt! part 2 (which we didnt get to) called for a 1/2" dia bolt
What PDF editor are you using?
drawboard!
Why u have not solved the 2nd question
