It was easier for me to change the setting to something I was more familiar with and why not my home state. Think of it as a Red Dawn setting in you local area. It was a great movie and makes for a fun game.
Good tips. I think this game would be fun to play. I've watched several game-play videos. I didn't know they had specific solo rules in the rule book. Good to know. Thanks for your effort! And good point about the NPC stats and the rule book.
It was a contractors dream. I worked for the English roads and traffic authority. My job was to confirm the Y2K compliance of all nonstandard office equipment. What’s nonstandard office equipment you ask. Why it’s microwaves and coffee machines. Yes I was paid by the government to phone up Braun and ask if their mark what ever coffee machine that was in the whatchamacall it office was y2k compliant. After they stopped laughing I’d ask if they could send me that in an email or letter. 😂
I will have to look into getting that. T2K was one of my first videos on this channel. Fun game system and it has solo rules included but PPM will be a good addition to the game.
This is great. Awesome ideas and formats look simple and easy to use. If your offer on resources still stands I'll shoot you an email. Appreciate the reminders and consolidation. I am a big fan of one-sheet references or getting as much as I can in one place. Also like your criticisms too. Solid points in regards to having to reference Stat charts in different places in order to flesh out encounters. I don't have an issue with it in the book but wish they made pretty much exactly what you made haha.
Thank You for the positive feedback. Yes it is a great game and I feel some simple resources make it better for solo games. I will be more than happy to share my resources just send me an email.
I always wanted that as a teenager. When I first got the internet, it was one of the first things I ordered online since I'd never seen it on a shelf. Looking at it now makes me so nostalgic for that brief but crazy Y2K insanity period, around the same time I first got on the net!
When you pull your encounter card it will tell you how many are present. It will say something like PC X 2. You can always adjust the number if it just does not seem correct. Some of the encounter cards just seemed too much for me to run solo.
Great review and great tips. This game looks amazing. I hear theres a Zombie add on from Drive Thru RPG which sounds really cool. Would it be easy to add your own Guns, Weapons, equipment etc?
There are already a lot of weapons to choose from and it would be easy to add your own. Just look at the stats for the current weapons for one that is similar and make some slight modifications. I just received Urban Operations and need to give this game another run. Thanks for watching the video.
That is a great request and I will have to look into the best way to share those documents publicly. Some of it was taken right from the book and that might be a legal issue with copy write laws. If you are just interested in the tracking sheet that is something I created and can share. Until I can figure out the best way to share it feel free to drop me an email and I can send it to you, solitaryrpg@gmail.com.
excellent and loved the map idea.
Thank You need to find an older map so that is fits the time period better.
Wow your map idea is so simple but at the same time so amazing!! Thx !!
@@Joaquim.Oliveira thank you simple sometimes works best
As someone from Winslow AZ now living in Flagstaff, the setting of this game was surprising. I'm currently trying to learn to play the game.

Thank You and it is good to know you found the video helpful. It is a great game and I hope you get a chance to play it.
The reason nothing happened on Y2K is because billions of dollars had been spent fixing programs affected.
?
right, and "Solitary RPG" alluded to the fact that we were not as dependant on computers at that time, which helped as well

Thank you very much !
You are welcome and I will be bringing this game back to the channel to explore new solo concepts.
Awesome vid! Thanks for the ideas as well. And here I thought I was the only masochistic person that loved chucking dice 😜
I am happy you liked the video. I do like chucking dice that is why I play Orcs in 40K.
Peter from PPM just released an enhancement for T2K solo, I picked it up but haven't looked over T2K at all yet - still on my bookshelf.
I will have to look into getting that. T2K was one of my first videos on this channel. Fun game system and it has solo rules included but PPM will be a good addition to the game.
@solitaryrpg can you link this enhanced version please 🙏
I’m curious, nothing’s turning up on a Google search. Where might I find this?

Greetings👋 I have written to you by e-mail ))))
Ever check out System Failure by Bill Coffin? Pretty out there y2k game.
I will take a look at it thank you for the suggestion.

Nice insight into the mechanics. Did you record or document any of your solo play online?
I am just starting to get into recording my games and posting those videos. I might revisit T2K as an actual play in the future.
Did you happen to save your merged up encounter sheets? If not its no biggy I can go and build them myself but it seemed like a great idea.
I did save my documents from my game. Shoot me an email and i will send them to you. solitaryrpg@gmail.com
I was just searching for playing twilight 2000 solo
If you need any help let me know. I created some documents that will help with solo games.
@@solitaryrpg that would be awesome!
@@wilonascave Shoot me an email and I will send you what I created. solitaryrpg@gmail.com
@@solitaryrpg sorry didn’t see your response, will email soon
@@solitaryrpg do you still have those documents for solo play? Was considering to shoot you an email as well
how do you determine how many baddies there are. When it says marauders, how MANY marauders?

Roll for an encounter or on search table every hour instead of per watch.
I will write that down in my notes and give it a try next time I play the game. Thank you for the suggestion.

System Failure is THE Y2K game.
Are you saying the rule system is a failure?
Do you have any of these files you made avaiable for download?
I can send them to you via email but I don't have a website or anything fancy. solitaryrpg@gmail.com
Great Work and love your tips! Subscribed!
