I love how Kanai was still coaching Korone at the start even during the chaotic party game matches lmao. Also, they started calling Donpisha the "cow king" later cause he (or maybe it was Guile's kick being too good!) was the best at turning back the cow. And they invited Kazunoko to join them too btw, he wasn't the only one left out lol, but, you know, he's a family man, he can't be going to an after party at 2AM! And Idk if it was clear in the video, but the rule (that they set themselves after a few matches) was to not hit each other during those "knockdown matches" (you can see there's no life bars, only a life bar that gets used up when they get knocked down), so Korone really was going "oh sorry!" again and again while unashamedly breaking the rules lol. But, man... They had a few practice matches before the tournament, the whole ass hours-long tournament to play in, then watched the rest of the tournament together after being eliminated (at this point they were like 8 hours in or so) and they still wanted to have an after party later. This is how you know you got a great group of friends.
It's a crushing thing as a fighting game player to see Korone's frustration at her losses; we've all been there where you try your best and shit goes south...followed by her teammates being like "yo you wanna play some more?" It's just a game at the end of the day, and after a loss, you can just have fun with your friends and vibe after. It's wholesome as hell to see Korone love SF6 so much to feel the weight of the loss, and then just _have fun_ afterward with her newfound friends. It's a great sign for her future as a fighting game player to bounce back like that. Good fight, doggo. You did your best!

The FGC in Japan is very welcoming to newbies. SF6 got a lot of inputs from the pros to make it more accessible to new players because they realize that the scene needs new players to grow, else it'd just be a bunch of 30+ dudes playing against each other.
I know Botan also asked Dokura this question. and he replied something like Because in the olden days, it was normal to find a good player from the arcade game shop, that was why they didn't care about welcoming new players. But as time goes on, it turns out that fighting games cannot survive. Because going to fighting games in arcades is less popular and epidemic. "Fighting Games are something so great."
~ Hajime "Tokido" Taniguchi
Poor Korone... It really hurts to hear her cry 😔 I just wanna give her a big hug. But she really did come a long way and I'm glad she had such nice teammates who had her back.
Thanks for covering all of this so thoroughly!!
I just want to thank Capcom for adding cow tennis and hot potato to their fighting game.
It's really heartwarming seeing them after tournament together.
Korone crying after tournament, that feeling is totally relatable to me. Always after a fun party/event when the good feeling still linger.
Aaaawww this is way too wholesome. :)
Thank you for translating stuff from this tournament. As an English fighting game fan and vtuber fan, the CR cup content was really fun to watch, but it's mostly through your clips that I understood what they were saying.
Man Extreme battle was such a good addition for this alone
im always hesitant to click on this 'korone after CR clips' because every time i hear korone cry it breaks my heart 😭
but i'm glad doggo was was cheering up a lot at the end 😊
The real win was the friends they made along the way
When the vibe is just too good. I'm sad to see Korosan cry, but really enjoyed her time with them.
Oh God I relate to Korone a lot suddenly. I used to go to tons of fighting game tournaments but never did well. I always felt so frustrated with myself not being able to reach the heights I saw my friends reaching.
Oof
Awwww man am glad koro got to have some fun after she was totally down and sad afterwards glad she got some laughs and had a fun time with the team afterwards 😂😂😂
Even if they lost, they had lots of fun and that's what matter, that's what fighting games are about. I'm glad they have the chance to show it
Honestly such cute wholesome moments with everyone in the team, i want what they had 😢❤
kaZOOnoko, the best & most wholesome team in CR CUP this time imo
Probably it helps that i love Street Fighter and have been watching Kazunoko along with Hololive but this was a sweet arc. Hope to see Korone collabing more with them too
Seeing the sportsmanship, appreciation for the game and each other is very nice and brings a smile to my face. Well done! 😀
Karubi laugh is absolutely contagious XD
*Dramatic goodbye*
Karubi: Okay, time for the afterparty.
Glad they partied up again whenni was still watching
That's the true Fighting Game experience: "Event's over? Fuck it, let's hit the lobbies."
KaZOOnoko need a theme song. Maybe Calli could write one and perform it on one of her not-broken kazoos.
The entirety of team KaZOOnoko was super awesome together! Every single member was a joy to watch!
It seems like they became very close friends in such a short time, I'm really happy for them!
I hope they continue to play together and become stronger!
This reminds me of TSB. )': There will never be enough content with the teams together afterwards!
Korone is so cute
Imagine having friends and playing the party mode 😢
Seeing her enjoy the game this much warms my street fighting heart. It's my fav series of all time.
Thank you for giving us this whole tournament arc story with your clips! You truly encapsulate the context and vibe of this team. At the same time you didn't cut the important fights, so we had the full experience and hype.
Amazing job!
This really gave off strong aqua-like vibes from when she played in vsaikyou, a lot of potential during scrims but not that good of a tournament, but still quite an event and milestone
Once they all left and Korone started crying I had to close the stream because I can't deal with that. I was pretty confused when I opened the stream again later on and they were all back and goofing off.
glad korone and her team's still together playing with each other.
This SF6 CR Cup was a crazy ride for Korone. Haven't seen her being this engaged in a while.
Thank you for the translation!
MAn the casual modes look fun and they actually teach you your character's stuff like "checking moves" for the cow game.
Man hearing our doggo say she wanted her team to win and venting about everything. Reminded me of Haikyuu, "Winners and Losers"
Kazunoko: The protagonist
Donpisha: The protagonist best friend
Karubi: The girl of the group
Shaka: The "cool" looking one
Korone: The "Evil gal" that turned good
Nanai: Their Sensei
*TEAM B BEST TEAM!*
Isn't that helmet guy from Rockman? (another Capcom game)
Mets!
This makes me happy, Team B really was the best team.
took guts to do this. Korone will prob keep trying amd become great at fighting game like she does everything❤
We need a tournament of these weird mini games xD
