i love the team environment - it was so nice and supportive which is great for someone who gets nervous like korone. Much love to korone and her teammates
Can we also give credit where due to the folks she went against? Korone went from forgetting to block, to taking in Nanai's training, becoming a beast and bodying. That in turn gave all her opponents a wake up rival, and made them put in the work. While my respect is still with Korone's sticking it out with classic controls on a zone heavy character, my heart still loves a personal growth story that gets everyone involved to want to grow the same. Incredible journey. I really hope this is just the first chapter of many.

Some analysis in simple terms for people who don’t play fighting games: Korone demonstrates excellent understanding and control of the distance and timing of JP’s long range options, and she demonstrates that she theoretically has the knowledge and technique to fight back at close range. However, Korone’s main weakness as a player is that she’s bad at initiating offense once her opponents get close. In fighting game lingo, we would say she doesn’t take her turn and lets her opponents approach her for free. She jumps back and uses JP’s heavy kick in the air a lot, which isn’t very tactically sound. If her opponents approach her recklessly, then the heavy kick will land and will give her a combo opportunity, but otherwise she drives herself into the corner and makes her reactions more predictable. This compounds her main secondary weakness, that her corner defense isn’t very good. Korone tends to fall back on options she’s practiced heavily in the corner. While these options are effective, her over-reliance on them allows her opponents to come up with reliable counters. These weaknesses are most clearly on display in her matches against K4sen. In scrims, K4sen was far more reliant on approaching Korone with jumps, which Korone was able to counter semi-reliably. However, in tournament, K4sen took advantage of Dee Jay’s high speed to approach Korone from the ground and pile on offensive pressure. This approach is technically more predictable but very difficult to react intelligently to even at high levels, and Korone wasn’t prepared for it. Her performance improved as she became more willing to initiate offense and punish K4sen for trying to take free turns, but K4sen adapted by throwing out Dee Jay’s projectiles. While these didn’t do much damage, they disrupted Korone enough to discourage her from trying to take full advantage of her long-range options, making it more difficult for her to find opportunities for effective damage. Korone played well, but K4sen came tactically prepared for her. Korone did very well in the match against YY, particularly in using her long-ranged options to disrupt YY’s approach attempts. However, she again allowed herself to be cornered too easily and faced solid counters to her corner tactics. YY also outperformed K4sen in mixing up his approach options, making it more difficult for Korone to defend properly. Korone gets grabbed at the start of most rounds because Blanka’s leaping grab has an ambiguous animation that looks like he’s jumping in for a strike, and she doesn’t realize the mistake until it’s too late. Blanka has many ambiguous options like this, and YY uses them effectively to open Korone up for big damage. Botan’s character, Marisa, excels at piling on high offensive pressure in the corner. While there are ways to counter her, Korone’s unwillingness to take her turn meant that Botan was free to just keep on attacking her. However, Botan has more difficulty driving Korone into the corner than K4sen and YY, and Korone prevails by staying out of the corner and using her long-range options to punish Botan for trying to force her way in. I admire Korone so much for accomplishing all this while playing with Classic controls on an arcade controller! Hearing those clicks and clacks really brings across how much effort she put into this.
that, and in botan's case; JP as a character is difficult to fight unless you're prepared and had experienced fighting him multiple time to know his option in a match
They did warn her to jump aggressively to escape from the corner and not fight from it. This did turn out a factor. That darn "grasshopper" or "flying Dee Jay" style is definitely a thing.
Yea it was amazing! Korone was feeling so down and was crying for abit, but I'm so glad she got on a few mini games with everyone else and cheered up after! It's really heartwarming!
What I liked is that her team continued to encourage her. Never concentrating on mistakes and always giving cues to counterattack. After a defeat it is always frustrating and it is very common to say I could have done this or that. But he always insisted "you did everything we had practiced". Korone cried in frustration but surely if she participates again she will be in a good place.
but its also bad cause if you see in all of her match she never learn from his mistakes like keep getting her self to the corner by keep jumping and never using an anti air moves
@@gavinoelias1374 She did learned and They did pointed out her mistakes and teaches her if you actually watched any of the practice stream. Tbh she did much better during practice and scrims then on the tourney which i put it down to nerves. She did default into back jumping when shes not thinking too much tho which i put it down to her PTSD of getting rolling attack to death by Blanka during the scrims lol
@@gavinoelias1374s a novice, you wouldn't even know these are mistakes. No one knows the concept of corner pressure, footsies and all that at the start. Remember, these are beginners in their first tournament match. There's no reason to expect mid game adaptations from them. That's what the coaches are for.
Despite the results, korone was able to pull off everything she learned and even directly applicated nanai’s advice in between matches on the spot like how he said to jump before getting cornered by botan. Theres nothing else but to feel proud of her! Hopefully doggo is able to join more tournaments and gain more experience!
She actually didn't she was so nervous she forgot like half of the things her coach taught her which is fine and understandable but she did not pull of what was taught to her if she did she would have won. She pulled off what her coach told minutes before the match but forgot the 3 days of practice. Watch her match with Botan she only did her basic punch blow away combo once. And she spammed the down spikes instead of alternating and injecting grabs here and there
@@venkaramon she did do a few misses here and there and definitely was not as great as during her scrim but nanai said himself that she did everything that he taught her and I don't think we, who knows only a percentage of what they trained, can question him. Whether it's just for morale support or he was genuinely saying that, we should definitely have faith in his statements as her coach. Ps : I'm so glad she decides to still play sf6 and didn't lose her passion for it😆
Had the clip ready as soon as the stream ended, what a fun tourney, even if it didnt turn out how they wanted, glad they all had so much fun. Thanks for the clip a whole 27 min!
This was a joy to watch, seeing the beginners take on each other with pros as their teachers in this tourney format was crazy good. I do think Korone was implementing her game plan pretty well but noticed the nerves got to her when playing, it's not anything bad its just the amount of eyes on you under performance when in a tournament setting is def gonna make you anxious. Botan did well for a complete newbie as well too! I do hope more new tourneys like this keep coming
Feels like she performed better in the earlier videos; I guess the tournament nerves got to her. Still, she did a solid job and got a win for her team! Her sensei praising her was so wholesome.
Hats off to Nanai-san for teaching our doggo so well! Nanai is pronounced the same as mother in our country (Nanay) and that makes him Korone's mom in SF6! Haha so proud of them both and the Kazoo team for doing their best! Thx again J for the translations!
I tuned in just in time for the K4sen match, it was really exhilarating to watch her zone in and play. You could tell she was super nervous but she really held her own! I'm super proud of her
Thank you jshay for your diligence and allowing those of us who can't readily understand Japanese the joy of keeping up. Big cheers to korone and everyone else involved as well! this seemed super fun and, at least from what i've seen clipped here and in scrims, lots of good effort was put in
hopefully ppl extend their support and give credit to ALL the newbies in this tournament, all the low rank ppl were playing their first tournament and just like korone, are new to SF6. Everyone, even the pros, were all nervous xD The tournament format is great, fg legends being captains of a team from beginners to seasoned players. would be awesome to see this format used for a western FG tournament as well, get more pros/casters and streamers/english vtubers into this it's great seeing how everyone basically was having fun and are more interested in sf6, the viewer numbers were fantastic on twitch as well also i encourage everyone to watch the entire tournament, was great one especially seeing Daigo-san clutch and win it in the grand finals. all the teams were supporting their teammates and the comms all around were a lot of fun, so many ppl put in a lot of time for this tournament and it showed for many of them hopefully the teams return for future racoon cups.
I've never been much into korones content but seeing them progress so quickly in sf6 is pretty nice. Super sick showing, tournament nerves are rough, been there before. Can't wait to see you run it back
She was doing great but tournament nerves really got to her. She was always running away to the corner where she always got pressured and died. Hope she sticks with sf6 and the crazy raccoon continues to do this. One of the best fighting game events I've watched.
I mean even with her nerves she forced 3 game 3s and all of them went through the wire it could had gone neither way she should fell proud for her performance.
@@kinglightning5256Right, even a split second of difference from her or her opponent in some of those game 3’s could have led to a completely different outcome. She has nothing to feel bad about.
thank you for the long clip translation! Think Korone and other competitors all played very well, showing knowledge and skill in who they are fighting against. Very fun to watch!
Fun tournament to watch all the way from scrim days to the main event!! Great seeing all the teams vibe in their group and some of them made new friends too! Korone's team after party event was full of great team moments
Thanks for clipping the matches. I missed the first two live. Glad to see how far she pushed her opponents. She's really improving, even with her tournament nerves.
The whole thing was a blast, from the training streams, to getting up before the sun to watch the tournament. I hope it was for everyone else and especially for Korone. Korone and her coaches should be proud of themselves and of each other, as I am proud of them. I think this arc really brought together both the SF6 community and the Koronesukis. I hope Korone does more game tournaments in the future. Thank you so much for the translation, Jshay!
I dont what happened between now and the tourney but Korone must have been so nervous. She wasnt playing anything like what she was during the weeks in the lead up. But still this girl went in there using CLASSIC controls against other newbies who were all going with modern and still held her own. Wonder if this is the last we shall see of Korone and SFVI or if she will stick with it on the back end and continue to train to get better
I don’t know for sure, but I can say this… I watched Korone and the team as they spectated the grand finals, and after witnessing Daigo’s incredible comeback against Fuudo’s nearly unstoppable Dhalsim someone in chat translated Korone as saying “I want to learn Ken now.” 😊
Yea I think she was too nervous. She wasn't playing as aggressive as she did in scrims/practice, most of the time being too passive and just waiting for opponents to make their moves. Her controls to cast skills and counters were also better during the scrims.
That's just how tournament nerves goes, especially when you're playing for a team and you feel the weight of your wins and losses even more. If she used her supers, level 2 especially, she definitely could've closed out those close games. Despite her obvious nerves, she kept it close.
It was a real delight watching the real life Idol Showdown between Korone and Botan live, haha. Korone really put up a great fight throughout even if the results didn't go her way in the other matches due to tournament nerves.
What I love most about this tournament is that Korone was evidently nervous when she was against K4sen and YY, but when she was against Botan she kinda felt a bit more cheerful and happy, especially for Botan's growth throughout the event. I guess seeing a familiar name, even when it's her enemy really eased her up a bit knowing she's fighting against a friend. So proud of her, and Botan for jumping in with zero fighting game experience. And props to their teammates who were very supportive of them whatever the results.❤
She did amazing especially going up against people that used modern controls and her using classic controls. She truly is becoming a JP main and used her tools quite effectively. She just needs to learn how to capitalize on her life leads, opponent’s burnout, and punishes effectively. Proud of this doggo
1st an indee fighting game based on vtubers gets released and is very successful Now a vtuber clips channel posts fighting matches What a decade to live in as a fan of both communities
Was an avid FGC watcher and player during SF3 and SF4 days. I fell off during SFV: watching wasn't as enjoyable and no one I knew played it unlike SF4 and UMVC3. Now I can't believe vtubers are bringing me back in with SF6
Thanks for the long translation! Korone worked so hard, I'm very proud of her! Some of those fights really came down to the wire. I'm glad her teammates were able to help her with her nerves. Overall, not a bad showing at all for her first tournament!
So proud of her. My favorite part of the stream besies cheering the poor doggo up. Was her truly Witnessing the magic of fighting games with the set of fights between Daigo and Fudo. Swept daigo for 3 games with his unstoppable Dehlsam then The beast goes in and completely reverses it after being left with like 5 percent health. What a comeback and korone watched it all. It was like watching a match in evo.
To all the Korone fans, she is just thinking of us when holding up-back because up-back = UB = Yubi Yubi. Jokes aside, I think Korone just needs experience to calm her nerves and she'll be an amazing fighting doggo. This was an amazing event to watch. I'm a huge fan of fighting games, and it was great seeing Korone, Botan, and everyone else improve. I hope we get to see more in the near future. Thank you Crazy Raccoon for putting on this event. Thank you JShay for translating.
Korone should be so Proud of what she has done in such a short space of time! Using Classic Controls, Playing on a Arcade Stick. Doing everything they taught her and pulling off combos. She was amazing!
That first match had me on the edge and that first match vs Blanka in the first game was phenomenal, impeccable play. Looking her playing like that somehow makes you feel so...proud? Like a combination of happiness and proud, it's amazing and awesome. Also that match against Botan was so epic lol Watching both of my fav girls battling it's very epic. Good job doggo, I'm sad I couldn't follow all her SF arc but I will when I have time! (Also will follow Botan SF arc). 23:53 SO CUTEEEEE!!! 🥹
Awesome job from Korone even facing higher ranked opponents. Notice how everyone she faced was using modern controls? At this level of play modern makes a huge difference, especially since there's less things you need to focus on. She did super well!
Nothing against the other players here, but Korone was easily the player with the most potential here. If they had more time to teach her movement in neutral, she'd have bodied them all. For a new player the mental strain of classic vs modern controls is a lot. Even without godlike coaches, she could actually become a solid FG player.
I really like the atmosphere within her team. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. She had a great time practicing and learning new techniques. Unfortunately, she seems so excited that she doesn't play like she did during practice. Her opponent was much better than when they were practicing together. She's doing very well for her first time. But this will also be a good experience for her and make new friends.
The excitement during the matches was off the roof! I was jumping and shouting while watching and people in our house thought something was happening! 😂😂 But man, Korone did so well! So proud of her. They all did well and here's to hoping we can more of Korone competing not only in SF but maybe other fighting games. She got the spirit of a fighter! She can bring the heat but well keeping a cool head sure is difficult during a competition. My hands were shaking too haha just by watching. As always thank you for the translations! 27 mins! ❤❤
Fighting games are hard to get in to because they give so much privilege to people who have played and competed in other fighting games. As far as im aware this is the first competitive environment korone has been a part of let alone fighting game competitive environment so she did so fucken well. I hope she continues.
@@Ravenleaf182 competitive vs friends you know and familiar settings is definitely different than competitive on a much bigger scale where you all of a sudden feel the weight of not only your own expectations but your team's on your shoulders.
Props to Crazy Raccoon for the tournament. They gave such a fresh experience for the players and viewers, especially those who are not familiar with fighting game. It was fun watching all the matches and how everyone was hyping each other's fight XD
Even seeing Botan's improvement was really impressive but it was so good rooting for best doggo. Such fluid gameplay keeps you on the edge. You can see Korone work herself nervous, she chats to her team and calms down but then the pressure of the deciding round mounts up on her. She can talk about taking fingers all day but she's still mega cute at the end of it all!
I think Botan is the most surprising. In short time she fought well a against well trained Classic JP. I think if she were'nt busy and started training from day one, she might beat everyone on her card lol.
I have to say but I think Korone's agro is much better than getting stuck on the corner, playing corner is fine but you can't be stuck there for long. Also getting nervous is really your number 1 enemy when it comes to tournaments because you're going to get choked and unable to do combo and stuffs and even if you tell yourself to calm its too hard to do it. Im glad Korone manages to pull it off and ngl Im impressed she become a really good street fighter player in just amount of short time. That's our Doggo ^^ Im proud for everyone here, its really fun and great to see everyone studied each others moves.
Man i haven't touched a fighting except smash series against my friends for fun and a bit of art of fighting for SNES but not serious. This stream and the demo made me buy this game. Korone as well as Botan really did a great job.
She held on so well despite definitely struggling a lot with nerves. Like even not knowing much about the game I could see that she was doing the wrong inputs more and wasn't getting as many of those sick ranged combos. Yet despite that she held her own every time. Hopefully she does something like this again because you can really see her potential. Like when she got the advice about jumping forwards sooner and just destroyed Botan in the next game where she was doing a better job of her positioning(also I think most of her opponents learned to counter her by pushing her into the corner).
Korone really is great in team tournaments like these. She responds well to her coaching before and during the tournaments, and even if she loses she got her opponents to make a run for their fight money. And the win against Botan is the cherry on top even when Marisa is a bad matchup against JP.
Oh shit, I didn't know YY was in this too. His stuff is great even if you don't understand much, his Planet Coaster and Scrap Mechanic playthroughs were hilarious.
I saw the final reaction of Korone when the tournament ended, it broke my heart when she cried about it. She put so much effort, it hurts watching her feeling very sad. It was a good experience after this tournament since it was her first tournament. I'm glad she took the challenge, sure it might not win it but next time she will definitely win!
@@Bakuganluver23 Exactly, I remember my first time in a similar situation and I was frustrated that i let my team down too. So i totally understand her. I'm pretty sure everyone went through that before
its understandable tho, she just fell so disappointed in herself i guess, cause we know that korone actually can do so much better than what she did in the tourney, the nerves get to her maybe, just need to train her mental more to bring up her 100% during tournament..
Dang, she did really well, despite the score. I think she definitely could've won those first 2 games off in-game skill, but it's *hard* to show your full potential in your first big event like this, and learning to play in that kind of setting is a skill of its own. Props to all her opponents too (and Botan, who I had missed was part of this; just been seeing bits and pieces about Korone)
Korone and her team did well with how outranked they all were in most matchups they did very well even if they didn't take a round. Kazunoko is a beast and Korone was so nervous she forgot like 50% of her training maybe if they do this again she gets invited again but yeah her nerves really got to her.
Part of me think Korone just being shy and don't know how to approach other player. With Botan, she's not being shy at all and approach her readily. Kinda cute tbh
Tourney jitters are no joke. I remember the first time I attended a tournament, everything that I knew and practiced just immediately went out the freakin window and my hands shook uncontrollably. Most of the time it's because of the new experience and the habit of imagining your opponent as someone far better than you or doubting your own abilities, rather than just seeing them as another player who's probably just as nervous as you are. This can be compounded by the first match easily, because whether you win or lose can further compound or alleviate those concerns. You can how each following match, she starts forgetting core setups and techniques that she performed during practice; it's a nasty cycle. With all that being said and despite all this, Korone did a fantastic job.
I got blown up on my first casuals in a tourney setting, and I got rekt in my very first time actually competing. Tourney nerves are very real. Even moreso when you're aware that you're on stream lol. Korone did pretty damn good on her first outing all things considered.
Honestly she did pretty well, making sure to go to the very last point with every match even if she did lose it. I don't play SF but I'm guessing that a zoner like JP would be pretty nuanced and weird for a beginner to pick up so it's impressive that Korone was using him as well as she did. She'll definitely see a lot of improvement if she decides to keep playing
She got better with all the training and practice scrims. This was also her first actual tournament, even if its not a high level one its still her first. She did fairly well. Seems that the concensus against her is that she is weak against close range. She also backs herself into a corner when in a panic. So they just let her corner herself before punching in. It is a team match however and her team really helps raise her confidence at times.
Korone's biggest weakness right now is that she isn't comfortable anywhere but full screen. In any other situation, she'll panic back jump repeatedly, even after she lands her counter for some reason, even tho she should be using that moment to put herself in a favorable situation.
I literally cannot fathom playing at this level. Well done, Ko'one. For all the hours of SC2 I played (and DOA3, but that got nowhere, because that game has so much depth), I still don't even come close. Not with Maxi, not with Nightmare, and not with Mitsurugi. I had a few combos with each character I could pull off consistently for each character (and Maxi's ability to just always be in a combo helped a lot. That and his surprising reach), but nothing like this. Now, to find the Botan clips...
It helps that she got a good team coaching her. Fighting games are quite difficult to get the hang of if you don't do some research on the game mechanics first, unlike say, FPS where basically all you need are good reflexes
@@ZoMbi5lAy3r She's got a good team, and is a good learner, too. I had... the CPU opponents, practice mode, and move lists. I made it far enough to be mildly competent inconsistently (but because I was playing Maxi, I mostly got mocked), and to know which characters I had to worry about.
@@the6ofdiamonds Same, I had no idea what frame data meant, what was neutral, what was oki. I just did whatever moves looked the coolest. I only started learning properly once I began watching online guides. Today's fighting games have much better tutorials now though
Honestly the only real issue with her gameplay was the lack of anti airs. Jp's is really good and itd immediately shut down a lot of new player traps she was falling for. She's got insane execution for a new player and can adapt on the fly a decent amount too which is nuts. Suuuper cool to see folks proving fighting games really aren't as hard as they're made out to be.
I'm not big into watching fighting games because I don't always have a dog in the fight typically so I pretty much don't care. But having a literal doggo in this fight I finally understand the appeal. I was moved by how Korone got into a pinch or come close to landing the finishing blow. So I figured having a player you wish to cheer for makes it more enjoyable to watch. Also Korone is such an underdog it's so easy to want to cheer her on.
I didn't have the chance to watch it live but seeing the fight for the first time makes me nervous as Korone. I even forgot that I'm eating while watching this.

Some analysis in simple terms for people who don’t play fighting games:
Korone demonstrates excellent understanding and control of the distance and timing of JP’s long range options, and she demonstrates that she theoretically has the knowledge and technique to fight back at close range.

Thanks for in-depth explanation, I never invested to FG so I have no idea what's going on. You're very helpful.
that, and in botan's case; JP as a character is difficult to fight unless you're prepared and had experienced fighting him multiple time to know his option in a match
Botan didn't expect that jump kick, that's why she asked how to handle it. Too bad no more practicing.
Still close match btw. Well done to Korone
They did warn her to jump aggressively to escape from the corner and not fight from it. This did turn out a factor. That darn "grasshopper" or "flying Dee Jay" style is definitely a thing.
Aah that was a fun one~ not long after saying goodbye they just decided to chat and play few random game modes was funny and heartwarming
Yea it was amazing! Korone was feeling so down and was crying for abit, but I'm so glad she got on a few mini games with everyone else and cheered up after! It's really heartwarming!
You can tell She's so nervous at early fights, dropping combos and spilling her spaghetti but she gets her grooves on later on, such a great match.
@@gavinoelias1374 Correct, but self-criticism is the other part of the process and that only depends on her. Not from me or from you.
@@gavinoelias1374it's incredibly hard to adjust in the middle of a tournament match, that's something that comes from lots and lots of experience.
Thanks for the clip a whole 27 min!
thank you for translating literally a half an hour's worth of stuff for us - That was a really good watch
Can't wait to see Botan's matches clipped, so proud of Korone to see her improve from when she just started playing SF, glad to see she's having fun
Thank you for the tournament summarization Clip Jshay! Much appreciated!
Korone did her best as a first-timer 🎉
Hats off to Nanai-san for teaching our doggo so well! Nanai is pronounced the same as mother in our country (Nanay) and that makes him Korone's mom in SF6! Haha so proud of them both and the Kazoo team for doing their best! Thx again J for the translations!
And to think, Korone only got into Street Fighter a few months ago. She's made good progress. Also JP's theme playing in her first fight was hype.
I tuned in just in time for the K4sen match, it was really exhilarating to watch her zone in and play. You could tell she was super nervous but she really held her own! I'm super proud of her
She had a great team supporting her. I had a blast watching her have so much fun throughout this journey.
I was practically screaming at these matches.. incredible content
She did amazing. So proud of her.
Her teammates were so supportive.
Thanks a lot for the long vid.
Thank you for the translations, Korone did so well despite all her nerves. I’m so proud of her, it was fun to watch her matches!
Everyone was so supportive! I love it!
Everyone, even the pros, were all nervous xD
The tournament format is great, fg legends being captains of a team from beginners to seasoned players. would be awesome to see this format used for a western FG tournament as well, get more pros/casters and streamers/english vtubers into this
it's great seeing how everyone basically was having fun and are more interested in sf6, the viewer numbers were fantastic on twitch as well
also i encourage everyone to watch the entire tournament, was great one especially seeing Daigo-san clutch and win it in the grand finals.
all the teams were supporting their teammates and the comms all around were a lot of fun, so many ppl put in a lot of time for this tournament and it showed for many of them
hopefully the teams return for future racoon cups.
I've never been much into korones content but seeing them progress so quickly in sf6 is pretty nice. Super sick showing, tournament nerves are rough, been there before. Can't wait to see you run it back
Thank you!
Really want her to win at least two matches.
Love the team vibe. They're so great!
She was doing great but tournament nerves really got to her. She was always running away to the corner where she always got pressured and died. Hope she sticks with sf6 and the crazy raccoon continues to do this. One of the best fighting game events I've watched.
Great showing from korone! Even if the nerves got to her, she performed really well for her first tourney!
I mean even with her nerves she forced 3 game 3s and all of them went through the wire it could had gone neither way she should fell proud for her performance.
she honestly did a fantastic job for her first tournament, many just go flat out 0-2 so testament to her skills
@@kinglightning5256Right, even a split second of difference from her or her opponent in some of those game 3’s could have led to a completely different outcome. She has nothing to feel bad about.
@@bisineyeah my first tournament was 0-2 and not even close lmfao. I don’t think I won a round.
@@kinglightning5256 It could have gone either* way.
thank you for the long clip translation!
Tournament nerves. If you can ever think back to your first few Ranked matches, imagine those nerves 10-fold.
@@m.hunterstevie2081Daigo was sick this tournament holy shit man
That's just how tournament nerves goes, especially when you're playing for a team and you feel the weight of your wins and losses even more.
This whole thing was just excellent! Thanks for providing such great clips of it throughout!!
Thanks for the fully translated series, that was such a joy, keep em coming and I'll keep watching :3
1st an indee fighting game based on vtubers gets released and is very successful
Now a vtuber clips channel posts fighting matches
What a decade to live in as a fan of both communities
You missed the part were FGC players played such game and give it really good reviews.
Was an avid FGC watcher and player during SF3 and SF4 days. I fell off during SFV: watching wasn't as enjoyable and no one I knew played it unlike SF4 and UMVC3. Now I can't believe vtubers are bringing me back in with SF6
@@ddranimestyle to be fair, sf6 is actually worth watching which helps :P
To be fair, Korone's been playing SFV before Idol Showdown came out
Seeing that she use classic mode looks more retro gamer play style and love it!
Korone did amazing! And hats off to karubi at the start for helping her shake off the nervousness even just a little
Thanks for the long translation!
Korone worked so hard, I'm very proud of her! Some of those fights really came down to the wire. I'm glad her teammates were able to help her with her nerves. Overall, not a bad showing at all for her first tournament!
So proud of her! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Always proving that she’s the sweatiest most hardcore gamer in Hololive! Way to go Koro chan!!!
It really is impressive how far she came. She sounded a little emotional at the end of the stream but I hope she feels proud! She deserves to.
She worked so hard 🥹
What a good doggo ☺
To all the Korone fans, she is just thinking of us when holding up-back because up-back = UB = Yubi Yubi. Jokes aside, I think Korone just needs experience to calm her nerves and she'll be an amazing fighting doggo.
This was an amazing event to watch. I'm a huge fan of fighting games, and it was great seeing Korone, Botan, and everyone else improve. I hope we get to see more in the near future. Thank you Crazy Raccoon for putting on this event. Thank you JShay for translating.
I love Karubi's voice, and she seems like a great person. Also, I'm very proud of our doggo.
Thank you for the translations! Been hard keeping up with the longer streams, so this really helps!
Those sets were amazing. Korone did very well.
0:46 22:10 24:02
I mean, Korone boxes in real life, so its not her first competitive environment, especially with her rivalry with Okayu, but I get what you meant...
@@Ravenleaf182 competitive vs friends you know and familiar settings is definitely different than competitive on a much bigger scale where you all of a sudden feel the weight of not only your own expectations but your team's on your shoulders.
@@huttserl I was addressing the fact he said she zero competitive experience. Like I said, I got what he meant, but I'm being nitpicky.
I'm holding my breath along with Korone haha she did sooo good!
this korone sf6 tournament debut really made me cry lol, idk why. b
Bless you JShay for translating this series, I've been looking forward to the tournament!
Korone is so cute and she played really well for a beginner. She must be protected at all costs
korone and botan both did great.
I think Botan is the most surprising. In short time she fought well a against well trained Classic JP. I think if she were'nt busy and started training from day one, she might beat everyone on her card lol.
Botan & Almond Usada are diamond gemstones.
That's our Doggo ^^
Im proud for everyone here, its really fun and great to see everyone studied each others moves.
Man i haven't touched a fighting except smash series against my friends for fun and a bit of art of fighting for SNES but not serious. This stream and the demo made me buy this game.
Korone as well as Botan really did a great job.
Very inspiring to watch! Fighting games are so much fun!
7:37 korone casually forgets how biology works
It really was the nerves. You can even see it on her mouse cursor at times it's shaking so wildly especially right before her first one.
The skill gap between K4sen and Korone was crazy to see, Korone is still improving though through each match very cool to see.
I watched what I could live. Very proud of my oshi! She did great!
One of the best cr cup so far, can't wait to see another holo in cr cup
I saw the final reaction of Korone when the tournament ended, it broke my heart when she cried about it. She put so much effort, it hurts watching her feeling very sad. It was a good experience after this tournament since it was her first tournament. I'm glad she took the challenge, sure it might not win it but next time she will definitely win!
nobody wins their first tournament right out the gate, right? she has room to improve for the next time.
@@Bakuganluver23 Exactly, I remember my first time in a similar situation and I was frustrated that i let my team down too. So i totally understand her. I'm pretty sure everyone went through that before
the crying clip was actually from before the tourney :P
@@Insane_Kane I’m guessing u didn’t watch her livestream after the tournament
its understandable tho, she just fell so disappointed in herself i guess, cause we know that korone actually can do so much better than what she did in the tourney, the nerves get to her maybe, just need to train her mental more to bring up her 100% during tournament..
Really nice team. The after party and Kazunoko's Lock-On! were really funny.
They way she comes back to each call and immediately soynds anxious lol. She really held it in while taking those rounds.
Thanks for the TL!!!
And she is on 1.99M
Part of me think Korone just being shy and don't know how to approach other player. With Botan, she's not being shy at all and approach her readily.
Kinda cute tbh
Can't believe I watch almost the whole stream, including the cow match. Been a while since I had ton of fun watching long stream
Thank you for this.
Keep uploading the sf6 content it's co fun to see you play/enjoy it 😢
Korone put up a really good fight with everyone. Very exciting to watch her fight.
Teammates are all very supportive regardless of the result.
This was a very fun event to happen, vtubers ando other streamers being trained by fighting game goats like Kazunoko led to so many fun moments
Ow, poor doggo! Her nerves got the best of her, but she can be really proud of her progress! Well done!
i can feel korone is nervous, but she's doing great, nice job our doggo
Korone's biggest weakness right now is that she isn't comfortable anywhere but full screen. In any other situation, she'll panic back jump repeatedly, even after she lands her counter for some reason, even tho she should be using that moment to put herself in a favorable situation.
The tension ! I'm all in !!
She turns into a grasshopper when she gets nervous. 🤣
