    Maybe in the future dentists could make mouthpiece toothbrushes guards for the their patients. By taking an impression of a patiences mouth,i n the same way they do with invisalign, retainers, whitening trays, etc.
    After taking an impression dentists could make the bristles of the toothbrush to come in contact of every tooth surface and the gumline.

    I use a regular soft toothbrush to apply to the toothpaste in my mouth prior to using this - and then it is really easy to clean. Just an idea for when you next try!

      Not a bad idea. Feels like it defeats the point a little but certainly an approach I hadn't considered.

    I wonder how well using a toothpaste tablet would work with this style of toothbrush. I suspect it would help ensure the toothpaste is spread evenly on all the teeth.

    I guess you could use this to clean first round and finish up with toothbrush. Still should be a big time saver.

      I think this is the brush you are referring to: get-cleant.com/
      I won't be reviewing this product. The reason being, it is actually a product called V-White.
      I reviewed it in this video. ua-cam.com/video/cSEhzPI_TVg/v-deo.html
      I do not recommend you by this.
      I have also shared the findings of a clinical study which tested this product and the results were alarming. ua-cam.com/video/75-gKNuvNDU/v-deo.html

    Normal electric or manual toothbrush should be used twice a day to really clean.
    After every meal at home or outside. However, no one has the time use a normal manual or electric toothbrush when they go out. Therefore, it would be a good idea to use mouthpiece toothbrush only after eating food.

      We are in the process of considering this at the moment. Yes, it is possible, but it will be a few months before such a review is live, if we go ahead with it.

    Is that the only one where they used regular bristles? I noticed most of the other toothbrushes this style are all using silicone, but is the silicone effective at all? It doesn't seem like it would take the plaque off.
    But I absolutely agree with you, the y brush has a homemade feel to it, certainly not something I would spend 125$ on.

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Jackelynn. Y-Brush is one of the only ones to use regular nylon bristles at the moment. There are some others coming in the next few months that will be using these. Only time will tell if they are any better or not.

    Can you please do a review on the U shaped auto brush? I’ve been thinking of buying the one they have for kids to use on the go for when we’re out and he eats candy or something that’s not good for teeth.

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  4 роки тому +2

      Daniella. The short answer here is stay well away from these products for kids. They don't work effectively yet.
      Is there a specific one you are looking at? There are many on the market. The majority of which are the same products or clones of another. I have yet to test one that really works.

    • @x0xdaniella1
      @x0xdaniella1 4 роки тому +2

      Electric Teeth yeah I watched a few of your videos, after this one, on these and none of these seem to work at ALL. There is a certain one it’s called “auto brush.” They make ones for kids too. Kind of scares me that people are buying these for there kids and have no idea they don’t work. I even checked the clinical trials website (bc I almost just went ahead and bought it) to see if any thing was run on these and it looked like one was done in the beginning of 2020, AND finished, but they never posted the results. Must not have been good results 😂.

      Electric Teeth we currently use an electric oral-b tooth brush and I love it. My teeth have never felt this clean with a manual tooth brush..... But hopefully one of the bigger brands, like crest or oral-b is or will be working on one of these and actually achieve a good product. If a company can make this work it will become super convenient to brush your teeth on the go, especially for kids. They could make a lot of money if they can figure it out.

      Daniella. I know the study you are referring to. They have actually just released the data and we have just updated our written articles with this data. I will be doing a video on the data very soon and adding it to the channel. Check this out: www.electricteeth.co.uk/mouthpiece-toothbrush/#Clincal_trials

    Why not just spread some toothpaste on your teeth first before inserting the Y-Brush?

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  4 роки тому +1

      You could, but you might end up using too much this way. It does reduce the buildup in the brush head itself.
      This approach from my testing didn't help improve the cleaning experience.

    Electric Teeth if mouthpiece toothbrush brush the teeth longer than electric toothbrushes wouldn't that consider overbrush too.
    Mouthpiece toothbrush that clean each tooth surface for 10 seconds. Would equal brushing someone where around 20-30 minutes with a normal electric or manual toothbrush brushing.
    28 teeth=20 minutes & 32 teeth equals 30 minutes
    1. 3 tooth surface(back teeth) each brush for 30 seconds:
    28 teeth: 16 back teeth(upper&lower) * 30seconds= 8 minutes for back teeth
    32 teeth: 20 back teeth(upper&lower) * 30 seconds = 10 minutes for back teeth
    2. 2 tooth surface(front teeth) each brush for 30 seconds:
    28&32 teeth: 12 teeth(upper&lower) * 30secs = 180 seconds = 12 minutes front teeth
    3. 28 teeth: 8min+12min=20 minutes
    32 teeth: 10min+12min=30 minutes

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  3 роки тому

      Yes, there is an argument that you could be over brushing. But, the reality is few people brush for long enough. So it is better to brush for longer, than not to brush at all.
