I liked every song on the Thriller album, but "Lady in My Life" and "P.Y.T." are still my favorites. On P.Y.T., when he sings, "Pretty young things, repeat after me, say nah nah nah", you can hear Janet's voice so clearly in the background. ❤❤

One of my favorite MJ songs! This one absolutely deserved a video. I have to point out, when Michael sings "Pretty Young Things repeat after me, sing Na, Na, Na" the females singing "Na, Na, Na" are Janet and LaToya. You've gotta hear Monica's song "All Eyes On Me" because it samples this song and she killed it!

A pretty amazing reaction ❤👧🏾❤! I see 👁👁 you have reacted to Michael Jackson before: Ed Sullivan Show Jackson 5 medley (Stand!, Who's Loving You & I Want You Back), Got To Be There, Dancing Machine- Live, Show You The Way To Go, Forever Came Today - Live, Jam, You Rock My World, Billie Jean, Billie Jean- Live Motown 25, I'll Be There- Live, Remember The Time, Remember The Time- Live, Human Nature- Live, Man In The Mirror, Smooth Criminal- Live, Blame It On The Boogie, All I Do Is Think Of You- Live, Dangerous- Live, Michael Jackson w/ James Brown at 2003 BET Awards, Dirty Diana, Say Say Say, All In Your Name, Rock With You, Show You The Way To Go, The Love You Save (Ed Sullivan Show), They Don’t Care About Us (Brazil Version), Smooth Criminal, The Way You Make Me Feel, Black Or White, Thriller, Rockin' Robin, Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough, ABC- Live, Enjoy Yourself, Beat It, You Are Not Alone, Heal The World, Bad and Scream w/ Janet Jackson.
P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing) was released as the sixth single from Michael Jackson's 1982 album: Thriller. It was written by James Ingram and Quincy Jones. It was produced by Quincy Jones. The song reached #10 on the Hot 100, #15 on the Cash Box 100, #37 on the Adult Contemporary chart and #46 on the R&B chart. The single sold 4 million copies and was certified 4x Platinum. No music video was produced for the song. I don't know why a music video wasn't made for the song. All of the songs on the Thriller album could have had music video produced for them as they were all good enough to be released as singles. No filler songs on that album.
The song has been sampled by some other artists including 📻: Bow Wow, Monica, Kanye West, MC Lyte, Jamie Foxx, Memphis Bleek, Essosa, Smooth, Wale and more.
    Miscellaneous Notes 🗃:
Quincy Jones came up with the original title for the song after his wife, Peggy Lipton, brought lingerie with the words "pretty young thing" on it.
The original demo tape song written by Michael Jackson and Greg Phillinganes was remixed by will.i.am (Black Eyed Peas) for Michael Jackson's 2008 album: Thriller 25.
In 2010, the song was covered by Quincy Jones ft Robin Thicke and T-Pain.
In 2011, the song was covered in the film: Glee The 3D Concert Movie, by Harry Shum Jr and Kevin McHale.
Bobby Brown popularized the word Tenderoni on his 1988 hit song: "Roni", but it had been in the R&B vernacular since Eddie Kendricks released his 1976 song: "Sweet Tenderoni", which is probably where James Ingram and Quincy Jones got the song's lyrics: Tenderoni you've got to be / Spark my nature sugar fly with me.

    Lyrics 🗒:
    You know, you
You make me feel so good inside
I've always wanted a girl just like you
    Such a P-Y-T
    Pretty young thing, ooh
Where did you come from lady?
And ooh won't you take me there
    Right away won't you baby
    Tendoroni you've got to be
    Spark my nature
    Sugar fly with me
    Don't you know now
    Is the perfect time
    We can make it right
    Hit the city lights
Then tonight ease the lovin' pain
Let me take you to the max
I want to love you (P-Y-T)
    Pretty young thing
    You need some lovin' (T-L-C)
    Tender lovin' care
And I'll take you there, girl, oohooh
I want to love you (P-Y-T)
    Pretty young thing
    You need some lovin' (T-L-C)
    Tender lovin' care
    And I'll take you there
(Anywhere you want to go) yes I will, ooh
    Nothin' can stop this burnin'
    Desire to be with you
    Gotta get to you baby
    Won't you come, it's emergency
    Cool my fire yearnin'
    Honey, come set me free
Don't you know now is the perfect time
    We can dim the lights
    Just to make it right
    In the night
    Hit the lovin' spot
I'll give you all that I've got
I want to love you (P-Y-T)
    Pretty young thing
    You need some lovin' (T-L-C)
    Tender lovin' care
And I'll take you there, yes I will, yes I will
I want to love you (P-Y-T)
    Pretty young thing
    You need some lovin' (T-L-C)
    Tender lovin' care
And I'll take you there, yes I will
Pretty young things, repeat after me
    Sayin'
    Na na na
    Na na na na
    Na na na na
    Na na na na
    Sayin' na na na
    Na na na na na
    Na na na na na
    I'll take you there
I want to love you (P-Y-T)
    Pretty young thing
    You need some lovin' (T-L-C)
    Tender lovin' care
And I'll take you there, take you there, take you there
I want to love you (P-Y-T)
    Pretty young thing
    You need some lovin' (T-L-C)
    Tender lovin' care
And I'll take you there, take you there
    Oooh oooh, oooh
    (P-Y-T) ah baby
    (T-L-C) ah baby
    Ah darling
    You know, I'm thinking
    You look really nice tonight
(P-Y-T) You know what I could, you know just
    (T-L-C) You're such a P-Y-T to me
    Pretty young thing
Ah baby, ah baby, ah darling
    (P-Y-T) ah baby
    (T-L-C)
    Michael Jackson Info 📰:
Michael Jackson was born on August 29, 1958 in Gary, Indiana. He passed away on June 25, 2009 in Los Angeles, California. He was a singer, songwriter, dancer, actor and philanthropist. His musical influences include: James Brown, Little Richard, Jackie Wilson, Diana Ross, Fred Astaire, Sammy Davis Jr, Gene Kelly and David Ruffin. Dubbed the "King Of Pop", he is regarded as one of the most significant cultural figures of the 20th century. Over a four-decade career, his contributions to music, dance and fashion, along with his publicized personal life, made him a global figure in popular culture. Michael Jackson influenced artists across many music genres; through stage and video performances, he popularized complicated dance moves such as the moonwalk, to which he gave the name, as well as the robot.
The eighth child of the Jackson family, Michael Jackson made his public debut in 1964 with his older brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, and Marlon as a member of the Jackson 5 (later known as The Jacksons). Michael Jackson began his solo career in 1971 while at Motown Records. He became a solo star with his 1979 album: Off The Wall. His music videos, including those for "Beat It", "Billie Jean" and "Thriller" from his 1982 album Thriller, are credited with breaking racial barriers and transforming the medium into an artform and promotional tool. He helped propel the success of MTV and continued to innovate with videos for the albums Bad (1987), Dangerous (1991), HIStory: Past, Present And Future, Book I (1995) and Invincible (2001). Thriller became the best-selling album of all time, while Bad was the first album to produce five US Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles.
On March 25, 1983, Michael Jackson reunited with his brothers for Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever, an NBC television special. The show aired on May 16 to an estimated audience of 47 million, and featured The Jacksons and other Motown stars. Michael Jackson's solo performance of "Billie Jean" earned him his first Emmy Award nomination. Wearing a glove decorated with rhinestones, he debuted his moonwalk dance, which Jeffrey Daniel had taught him three years earlier, and it became his signature dance in his repertoire.
In 1984 at the 26th Annual Grammy Awards, Thriller won eight Grammy Awards, and Michael Jackson won an award for the E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial storybook. Winning eight Grammys in one ceremony is a record he holds with the band Santana. The Grammy Awards Show success transformed Michael Jackson into a dominant force in global Pop culture.

On January 27, 1984 Michael and other members of The Jacksons filmed a Pepsi commercial at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. During a simulated concert before a full house of fans, pyrotechnics accidentally set Michael Jackson's hair on fire, causing second-degree burns to his scalp. He underwent treatment to hide the scars and Pepsi settled out of court. Michael Jackson donated the $1.5 million settlement to the Brotman Medical Center in Culver City, California. Michael Jackson signed a second agreement with Pepsi in the late 1980s for $10 million. The second campaign covered 20 countries and provided financial support for his Bad album and 1987-88 world tour.
The Victory Tour of 1984 headlined The Jacksons and showcased Michael Jackson's new solo material to more than two million Americans. It was the last tour he did with his brothers. Following controversy over the concert's ticket sales, he donated his share of the proceeds, an estimated $3 to 5 million, to charity. During the last concert of the Victory Tour at the Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, he announced his split from The Jacksons live on stage during the Jackson 5 performance of the song: "Shake Your Body".
MJ's charitable work continued with the release of "We Are The World" (1985), co-written with Lionel Richie, which raised money for the poor in the US and Africa. It earned $63 million (equivalent to $158,728,032 in 2021), and became one of the best-selling singles of all time, with 20 million copies sold. It won four Grammy Awards in 1985, including Song of the Year for MJ and Lionel Richie as its writers. The project's creators received two special American Music Awards honors: one for the creation of the song and another for the USA for Africa idea.
In 1984 Robert Holmes à Court announced he was selling the Sony ATV Music Publishing catalog comprising the publishing rights to nearly 4,000 songs, including most of the Beatles' material. MJ's purchase of the Sony ATV Music catalog was finalized on August 10, 1985. This would lead to a strain in his relationship with Paul McCartney.
As a solo artist Michael Jackson's world concerts were some of the biggest, best and most profitable of any artist in music history.
Michael Jackson is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with estimated sales of over 400 million records worldwide. He has won hundreds of awards, making him one of the most-awarded artists in popular music. His awards include 39 Guinness World Records, including the Most Successful Entertainer of All Time, as well as the Grammy Legend Award and the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, and 26 American Music Awards, including the Artist of the Century and Artist of the 1980s. He also received the World Music Awards' Best-Selling Pop Male Artist of the Millennium and the Bambi Pop Artist of the Millennium Award.
Michael Jackson was inducted onto the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1980 as a member of The Jacksons, and in 1984 as a solo artist. He was inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Vocal Group Hall of Fame as a member of the Jackson 5 in 1997 and 1999, respectively, and again as a solo artist in 2001. In 2002, he was added to the Songwriters Hall of Fame. In 2010, he was the first recording artist to be inducted into the Dance Hall of Fame, and in 2014, he was posthumously inducted into the Rhythm and Blues Music Hall of Fame. In 2021, he was among the inaugural inductees into the Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame.
      Miscellaneous Note 🗂:
Michael Jackson created the "Heal The World Foundation", a charitable organization which was designed to improve the lives of children. The organization was also meant to teach children how to help others.
      Michael Jackson Passing 🙏🏾:
In 2009, while he was preparing for a series of comeback concerts: This Is It, Michael Jackson passed away from an overdose of propofol administered by his personal physician, Conrad Murray, who was convicted in 2011 of involuntary manslaughter. His death triggered reactions around the world, creating unprecedented surges of Internet traffic and a spike in sales of his music. On July 7, 2009 a televised memorial service for Michael Jackson at the Staples Center in Los Angeles was viewed by an estimated 2.5 billion people globally. On September 3, 2009 the body of Michael Jackson was laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California.
