There was a snowstorm on this day so only 5.000 came to the mohegan sun arena. Maybe jon was a little bit sad about that. The show was rescheduled to october and the band played a free show for the people who were already there
Lawrence Ng I was at this concert and Jon and Richie on a great show as far as I can remember. But livin on a prayer has always been butchered by Jon and usually even by Richie and David since 2010 (with occasional good performances from rich and Dave). Usually playback drowned Richie and David out though.
I would bet that since this was still early in the tour, Jon hadn't gotten himself readjusted to the touring schedule yet. This was the first show of the tour after all, and even weeks later in the Cleveland stream you could see that he was getting tired towards the end of the main set and didn't have as much energy in the encore. Regardless it was still probably one of the best shows of the tour. That's why I think he didn't seem himself there.
When performed live back in the day, this song was incredible but jon lack of energy and enthusiasm here just saps the energy out of it. I was and still am a big bon jovi fan but have to say I wouldn't bother to pay money to see them live these days. Especially the fact that Richie sambora is not currently with the band which is also a complete joke! The new albums suck because material has to be written to support jons tired vocal range Sad to see my once favourite band in the state it is today
My stuff came out pretty bad! Thanks for sharing and allowing me to relive this amazing night!!
Como le mete a la guitarra sambora!! grande bon jovi en su formación original!!

he had a lot of energy in some of the other songs.
Maybe it was just that concert coz his other concerts in the 2013 tour had lots of energy
