Six months is when a baby learns to crawl and also when the swim classes start for that but sometimes a baby might have a disability that prevents them from doing much except crawl. Or, maybe they scheduled the classes and the baby just so happens to fall in before then.

Not all HOA’s are like that. When we moved in our new home the fence was after the kids bedroom windows we sent a request to the HOA to move the fence for safety of the kids. They approved in less than 24hrs. That family just needs to sue them, safety always comes first. Knowing your HOA committee and attending those meetings they are recorded and asking them face to face whether the fence is more important than the death of your child puts them in a liable spot.

Those are developments. The developer in order to get his permits agrees to have a HOA. Then when you buy your lot or your house it is part of the deed. Why do cities require that? So they don't have to maintain the roads and common ground.

Last time an HOA tried to dictate a piece of my property on my yard, threatening it had to be removed or they would, I told them if they tried...lead would a problem to their overall health. I had already won the legal court battle and they were ordered by a judge not to interfere any further and make no attempt at retaliation. But they were butt hurt about losing and made the treat about taking my property from my yard. So, I responded in kind.
    Two years later,

Pool fence is not an eyesore, it adds value to the property?
HOA needs to mind their own business. Homeowners purchased and paid for their own property. Hoa needs to stay out of everybody's business unless crime is involved.
Who died and gave them the right to control what people can do with their property.
They need to stop collecting nonsense yearly HOA fees from residents in the subdivision.
What do they do with the money they collect from everyone, every year? It's not for neighborhood property maintenance or installing fence. Or security system.
They really need to stop minding people's business.
    HOA is the neighborhood government!
Don't buy homes in Hoa subdivision, they put liens on people's house . Fees are ridiculous, $800 a year for amenities. For what special features or benefit (for the subdivision resident)?
Most of the time, 95 % of the people in the subdivision don't use the amenities that they offer. They built these amenities without asking the residents and slap the cost onto everybody. That lives in the subdivision.
I can't beleve how everybody just accept one group of people to boss everyone around in their own subdivision and tell everyone what they can and cannot do with their home and property after they buy the property with their hard earned money.
Your house and the land is a constant collateral (if you default on the Hoa fees).
The land your house sits on is never yours after you pay off the house. If you default on yearly property tax that never goes away (a lien gets attached to the house).
We don't need another form of government in the neighborhood, who is constantly watching you and your house 365 days a year (24/7).
People buy house, don't harass homeowners. What they do with their prperty is not your business. Let them enjoy what they have achieved with their hard earned money.
Everybody needs to vote the HOA out of their communities.
