I've been in the dispatcher position and in the cop car for a car chase. (In Casper actually). There is SO much going on! The cops have to give dispatch turn by turn directions and dispatch has to log it all speeds included. There has to be calls to all the entities (Sheriff, Police, Highway patrol....) You dont know what you are coming up on. It's so dangerous and chaotic and keeping it all straight and safe is very very hard. If the chase ends up in a wreck and the perp dies, the cop can be charged with murder. Its rough! These guys did a great job being a team
