You mean that moment from 1977 from Yolanda Bowsley's loose tank top didn't make the list? Even Bob remembered it as "She came on down and they came on out!"
Oh come on, that was a Classic “Price Is Right” moment! Call it just another casualty of “Overly Woke-ness” 🙄( trust me ,no one yanked her top down ! )
There's one clip from 1980(?) where this woman wins $10K playing Grand Game, and she proceeds to chase Bob around the stage, and even lift him off the ground at one point. Bob then jokes about her having to use the money to pay his hospital bill.
I remember when one man won his prize, he picked Barker up! After the man put Barker down, Barker then asked the contestant, "You don't happen to be from Samoa do you?"
I thought the woman who lost her top while her name was called was going to be number one Also, there was a woman who knocked down Bob Barker, which was why he was afraid of over excited contests
I met Bob Barker at the Alaska Zoo in Anchorage as he was there to rescue the elephant. I have to say that Bob was indeed a genuine individual! He was the most kind person I had ever met! Huge loss for the world when he passed away!
I'm surprised Holly Hallstrom's continuous issues with prizes didn't make the list. Some refrigerator or range or other prize would regularly fail on her.
He always seemed to be like that. There were a few peole on the show that had some challenges and physical dissablies and he always saw them not their issues. Sure there were a few times that the games had to be changed a little to accomadte them but not once did Bob ever disrespect the person. I know that both hosts had hearing and wheelchair players and each time they were respectful and Drew made sure to stay in clar view of the players that couldn't hear. and introduce the translater as well.
"Ten chance fail" Is definitely my favorite from this show. Have a happy monday night, Samantha. Take care and God bless you, greetings from Colombia to you as well.
There was a kid who played 10 chances. When Bob took the first card down, it was supposed to reveal the numbers in the price but jumbled up. It actually revealed the price because whoever set the game forgot to put the jumble card. All 3 jumble cards were missing and the kid ended up leaving with 3 all prizes, including a minivan without having to put marker to paper even once. So surprised that isn’t on here. Talk about expensive mistake.😂
The TPIR contestant getting lost inside the TPIR studio sounds like it came straight from an SNL skit. Heck, all of these are worthy for their individual SNL skit.
*Imagine if someone decides to punk their friend at TPiR by going to the bathroom to tell them "Hey! You're being called to Contestant's Row!" and then that person runs out of the bathroom and down to Contestant's Row to find everyone staring at him/her and wondering wtf s/he is doing. lmao*
I have two favourite moments that I had on VHS for a while until they got lost. One involved the Range Game where the contestant screamed quite loudly when the pressed the button and Bob mocked her asking her why she scared him by screaming, The second incident occurred when Holly was modeling a living room and she was sitting on the top of the couch. She was sitting too close to the edge and she slipped off splatting right onto the floor! It was hilarious because the plants in the background shook too! Janice went over to see if she was OK so it was all good!
@@susanh6877 I was an EMT for many years. People faint like that all the time. Its no big deal. Its almost always a combination of stress and heat. Those lights on the stage are remarkably hot and bright. I'm surprised that contestants don't faint more often.
For the #7 entry on this, I'll bet this incident was one of the main reasons they eventually re-designed the Pick a Pair game. That, and the fact that it took up a bit of time for a certain product to come around on the small ferris wheel.
An additional top 10 moments 10. A contestant cheats on Shell Game 9. Holly dances with a dummy, and its pants drop 8. Scott injures his knee during Dice Game 7. Janice makes a strange inspiration putt 6. Michael shows ingratitude during Race Game 5. Cherish spins the wheel backwards (and then gets the dollar) 4. Brian bids too low for dinnerware during Clock Game 3. Mohini struggles with Super Ball!! 2. Brenton flops on Flip Flop 1. Yolanda's wardrobe malfunction.
How about another list just from the Bob Barker era? There was one where the wheel sound effect wasn't working, so the studio audience started going "Dehdehdehdeh deh deh deh deh deh deh..."
What? Not the moment where a woman wearing a tube top ran down the stairs...and her shirt went down also. You could say there was a "big flash." Oh wait, maybe that was on "Let's Make a Deal." 💙
#8 Ah, the technical win. Had another one today on the newest streaming-channel Barker Era shows. They were playing Barker's Bargain Bar during the 1985 HVS showing week. After the contestant picks the prize he thinks is the bigger bargain, the desk has to tell Bob that the wrong pair of prices are showing -- the actual prices!! The game basically destroyed, they had to award him the prizes!
Ironic as this is I have Bob Barker to thank for the shoes I wore in not only county jail but DOC as well.He is responsible for every inmate having shoes in that situation. Why he did this I do not know but I happen to know he must have put a small fortune into doing that one thing.Thank you for doing this old convict a solid Bob ✌🏽 ❤️ 🎶

Your first clip calls the Showcase the Showcase Showdown. the Showcase showdown is when the contestants spin the big wheel to decide who goes to the showcases and the showcase is when the contestants bid on an array of prizes
She was gorgeous and Bob was roasting on her about her T-shirt and looking at herself on the camera. She told Bob she was looking for price bids from the audience
Rachel was just another one of those contestants who should have been told to CALM DOWN before being announced to COME ON DOWN! There was also a similar contestant in 1981 who went after Bob after she won 10,000 dollars playing Grand Game. Bob was desperately looking for a hiding place then,, too!
I remember Bob berating a man for doing that. I felt embarrassed for the man. After that, Bob let numerous people get away with the same thing and I couldn't understand why. It just seemed that he was in a bad mood that day.
Personal fav. is the interaction between Barker and a contestant named Minnie who was in her early 80's at the time (in the early 1990's) who was wearing her first ever pair of jeans and then fell when refusing help from Barker to spin the big wheel A classic!
Good Lord, I was watching TPIR in the late70s and early 80s but never saw an episode in such low quality as that Patricia Bernard section. Was that recorded with a potato??
I miss Bob Barker but Drew Carey does it the best but Bob Barker does outstanding. God bless him for the prices, right!😭 Drew Carey cannot be the outstanding guy like bob was!
An unusual Pathfinder win happened in the Bob Barker era. A lady contestant was down to the second last number. She had used up her last do over. She stepped to the right number. The final number in the price of the car was either a '3' in front of her, or a '3' behind her. I have been searching for years for this clip of episode. I remember it well, because I was watching the episode that day.
I would like to see the full episode of TPIR where Alene faints at the showcase, or #10 here. Hopefully The Barker Era You Tube Channel will post that soon. Thanks for sharing and posting this top 10, very cool!
My two favorites involve Temptation. 1.Sometime in 1991 possibly October or November: Julia falls victim to one of Bob's longest stalls/false reveals in followed by the confirmation of the win. 2.May or June 1988: A college rugby player from Michigan lifts Bob 4 feet off the ground after winning the car and gifts.
That part with Manuela revealing the answer must of been the worst time of her life. She probably thought, "omg, they are going to fire me from this amazing job".
So, there was this game, "Temptation." In the first part, the contestant was given four prizes, second half, they have to use a specific digit from the price of the prizes to come up with a price for the big prize, a car. Well, on one game in the 80's, a woman (I forget her name,) made it through to the end of the first round, when Bob says, "Now, we've made a mistake. Those last two prizes were switched. As such, we're giving you all four prizes *and* the car as well!"
My grandma watches this show and i always love doing so when I go to her house. She is glad that the "crazies" are mostly done with now, since they would be acting like animals on stage. I can see why the hosts wanted to do away with that - even moreso after the pandemic. I'm sure contestants would have to be proven negative on any illnesses like Covid, but still.
I'm surprised that the contestant who made an exact bid on the showcase didn't make it. As I was watching this and they got further and further up the list, I was fairly sure that it would be #1.
When someone says "Don't touch me", you back the f|_|ck off. Consent, no matter how exciting the situation, even on TV, overrules your excitement. It overrules anything. Period.
The Grand Game lady chasing after Bob should be on here. Along with the Shell Game Cheater. Flip Flop Cheater. Brian's Punch a Bunch gamble. I think part 2 is in order.
After seeing _Ten Chance Fail_ in **Honorable Mentions**, I'm surprised it wasn't on the list. I'm equally surprised that she won, too. She exasperated me too.

Gotta be the guy who played "Punch A Bunch", who on the first punch, scored $5,000, turned it down for the 2nd choice, and it was the big $10,000!
I believe Patricia had to go quite a distance because by season 35, there is no restroom in the studio 1:52

There's one clip from 1980(?) where this woman wins $10K playing Grand Game, and she proceeds to chase Bob around the stage, and even lift him off the ground at one point. Bob then jokes about her having to use the money to pay his hospital bill.
I think that's what led Bob to have a fear of Samoan contestants. Not even joking.
