What will contribute to the trucks' popularity is that more and more farmers and others have fork lifts and these trucks can easily be loaded with a fork lift.
I am Japanese!
I rode that same Mitsubishi MINICAB for 17 years.
It never broke down, and the engine started in one time even in winter.
I agree. I have lived in japan for years. They will work. Small maintenance I have helped a neighbor on, even with my limited Japanese.

MAKOTO NI ARIGATOU GOZAIMASU!!
(^O^)/
I would consider getting one of these simply for the utility and character that they have. the issue is sharing the roads with giant suv's texting while i have no crumble zone.
I think that Kelsey once said on air that she is left-handed. That would make it easier to handle the gear shift!
Why won't prestigious US automobile manufacturers produce lighter utilitarian pickups anymore these days?
probably due to safety and emission regulations, but if they become popular enough the government might let them sell these trucks
Not a high enough profit margin.
Light trucks make more money and are easier to advertise
They won't, since these are easy to repair and don't consume much fuel. Can't squeeze the money out of you if they do.
@@alanchung6843 From utility to vanity.
Lasy reviewing the truck lied. The truck bed is actually bigger than some modern trucks
Better than paying like $100k for a pickup truck
the trucks use less fuel than a F-150 and can still carry more
Octogenarian widower here. I learned to drive on a stick shift Volkswagon. You can't beat the gas mileage.
What's not to like about a truck that gets 40 mpg?
Lol, neighbor got one
I want one
Yeah i feel this kinda trend right now because it was a trend in my country the Philippines like 20 years ago and still being used heavily for middle classes Filipinos who could afford to buy they, plus they can be customized whatever u like like every kind of motor trends in the world.
They'd never officially sell these here, cause it'd cut into their overpriced side by side/utv market.
Everyone should know how to drive ANY kind of vehicle, seriously!! Only people with a closed intellectual would say “I never wanna learn!” Especially, something as important as protecting yourself or getting to & from where you need to go!!🌺
I would take a Kei Truck over an F-150.
A kei(light)truck is more of a tool for work than a car, so there is no need for a typical household in Japan.
日本の軽トラが改題で評価されていて嬉しいです。日本人は小柄な人が多いので、アメリカの人には少し運転席が狭いかもしれませんが、とても便利な車なので大切にしてほしいですね。
Those in the market that want these will treat them well as work vehicles. I have lived in japan a long time and know their capabilities. In America they will go to people that want to work as fashionable people would never buy them.
Sorry I can’t type all that in Japanese because it would take a while. I have been learning but the keyboard is difficult 😂

Who would like to import a kie truck or van from Philippines
It is already a left hand drive and Automatic Transmission. The van has automatic door.
We have lots of them, mainly sold by Rusco
If Honda made a american version of these k trucks to be imported into the united states ford and general motors better be scared, Really scared!
The chicken tax would probably kill it
making an american kei truck to compete against it shouldn't be a hard task
I didn't know this, but the Honda corporation has several automobiles companies here in the United States.
Build the KEI truck here in the US.
Makes sense!
I learned to drive on a manual..... I'm 65.... so, I'm a Boomer...... but I can also pretty much drive anything!!.... We had a car back in the 70's.... the starter acted up, so we had to made sure to park it on a hill so we could "jump start" it by "popping the clutch"!!! (you step on the clutch, release the brake, when it starts to roll you start releasing the clutch while simultaneously stepping on the gas).. that starts it up!....Honestly, if I can drive a stick shift..... anybody can learn to also!!!😊❤🎉
You can customize the cargo....in my country a kei truck brand daihatsu granmax with automatic transmission offered the variant of cargo....you can customize the cargo like a classic GMC stepside or box cargo or a mini panel van
American pickup is incredible expensive by adding fancy gadgets.
3 years on Okinawa, Right hand drive, on the Left side of the line and 80 Traffic signs. It can be fun, if you sneeze rounding a curve.
1:57 He is 100% accurate! Teenagers are spoiled these days lol
Wait until you see kei camper vans
Yes, that is very good news. We are specialists at exporting Kei trucks in the whole world. Thanks.
Actually kei truck is very useful and cheap. Cheap to buy, cheap to operate.
America should learn to save resources, Instead of fighting wars for it. These kind of trucks are very affordable and efficient in transportation of goods, We have such trucks in India, Saves a lot of gas (diesel/ petrol) and you don't require large trucks for small deliveries.
Low maintenance
Cheap sparepart
Its works on farm
Get rid of CAFE standards so Companies can make rangers and s10 sized trucks again.
amazing how you can import a lambo from any country in the world but not a car made last year
The truck it's good to know about that I could use it and I'm good with stick shifts. I could use the bed for my lawnmower. That lady was very negative as if the whole thing revolved around her opinion of the truck she kinda looks mad.
Sad. People should to learn how to drive a stick. I’m 16 and I know how to drive one!
That's what's up. I'm 33 and have no idea how to drive one. 😞
You should learn. It’s a useful skill. If you daily drive a manual car, then you got the best anti-theft device in the country.
@@michaelclarke5860 can't argue with that. Hopefully I can learn sometime in the future.
@@michaelclarke5860Personally I drive a stainless steel rod to school
Is it allowed to drive a smart car in America.
Is it compulsory to wear a helmet when riding a motorcycle in America ?
Manual transmissions are another example of boomers bragging about how they didn’t teach their children how to do things.
I have better DIY skills than all the men in my family, but that’s due to UA-cam. Thankfully, they still try to act knowledgeable, which means I get to embarrass them
Sounds like you can't drive a stick
Adrienne knows how to "operate a STICK" that's how she keeps a job while her RATINGS are NON-EXISTENT 😂😂
lmaaaaao😂
Itt Got A Mitsu-Shitty Badgé onn itt
No thanks I’d like to survive in case of a crash
Actually people who drive trucks and SUVs tend to be worst drivers so they get into more accidents
I’ll never understand the obsession boomers have with controlling what gear their vehicle is in lol it makes absolutely no sense. How can that be “fun“ 😂
You don't control it but go with the flow with these basic rules of thumb:
Neutral : Start the engine.
First gear : Get moving.
Second gear : Move after stopping - say at an intersection.
Third gear ; Overtake or up a hill.
Fourth gear : Cruise.
Fifth (if available) : Cruise.
It becomes instinctive after a day or two.
unless you are talking about brand new performance cars, manual is generally faster on track/autocross, it is also great for winter driving, you should go drive a few manual sports cars yourself before judging
You should start your research with questioning why you feel it's appropriate to call someone a boomer. Most of the time I've found people who speak like this to be lacking in awareness in many other areas as well. After that, you could try looking up videos where people tell you exactly why they like driving manual.
They’re popular in many developing nations.
Liké MûřŘíĶâ. ¿¿¿¿
In developing nations like the third world united states!
@@turkey0165 The US is a regressing nation.
Cool until they start breaking down. I've seen lots of them in junkyards. Because of wiring problems. Good luck on that.😂buy a Chevy truck
LOL, funny joke. I like that you said Chevy is more reliable and is the one without wiring issues. funny. F !@# Chevy!
Lol the women do not like you, bro.
