    I think some of the people aren't really understanding the messages that was meant for this video. I love this fucking game enough that i'v spent my time with a facebook page posting for the past 2 years, but I no longer enjoy the game as it is with the amount of toxic players, so I wanted to change that by inspiring others. Some may think I'm naive, and sure I might have not changed the entire player base, but I made a difference, and what about you?

      I'm glad you did this. Glad you made this video. And you really put a lot of time and energy into this. I can tell. It's not easy putting half rhymes together the way you did and getting the emphasizing right, while having a flow that works. Lastly you knew I would remember this. 3 years compacted into 4:07. Much respect to you Near.
      I hope one day I meet you in game.

      thank god someone is actually doing something... you have my respect. i may flame but it is only when i have been flamed at. the toxicity in the game makes t hard to rank up. at one point i just decided to mute everyone in the game... 5 games later i was out of bronze. #thanks

    This video suddenly came to mind. It’s been three years since I last watched it. I’ve played League for 7 years now and I grew up with it. I made so many memories, friends that I wouldnt be able to describe my childhood without League. I miss the innocence. I miss the rush of emotions I felt when I first played the game. I miss the days when people stayed to give honors and when everyone typed gg. It’s so ironical that nowadays I play the game to get stress.
    Your ability to express is so touching and remarkable. Thank you for the great video

      I uninstalled the game three days ago. I feel like I'm overcoming a vice. After one match, where I didn't say a thing, I tried to keep my teammates focused on the win, and tried to do everything perfectly, I still couldn't win, even if the matchups and the teams were in my favor. I played this game since 2013. 7 years being a Kassadin main, seeing highs and lows of this game. But, finishing a match, where I lost, trembling from frustration and bottled rage, almost to the verge of crying made me realize. This game sucks.
      It doesn't matter how words can touch you deep inside. There is an unchangeable truth. This game still sucks. And Riot knows that. They'll capitalize on your own frustration, imprisoning you in your own vice, just to still have the status of the company that made the most popular game of nowadays. I'm still trying to realize how bad this was to me, and how nothing will change the truth. It's all over. I hope people can realize this aswell.

    Wow, this was very beautiful. The video itself is excellent, and the message even more so. I've stopped playing much League because of the toxic-ness of the players in the game, but I'm with you, I absolutely love League. I try to be the person to tell people to chill out, have fun, and it's just a game when someone gets mad at a team mate but then that only makes you the focus of more insults. It's so sad.
    "I've already got 5 enemies on the other side, why should I have to deal with 4 more on mine." Spot on, dude.

      ***** they may be random people, but they are people you have to play with for anywhere between 20 minutes to over an hour. If you have 9 enemies in a 5v5 game it just makes it no fun. Toxicity is what has ruined league of legends, you get these kids who get on their high horses because they did well in a game. also, i can tell you're one of the toxic players of league, "quit being a cissy", lovely thing to say.

    • @KyleeAsakura

  • @CaleoGaming
    @CaleoGaming 9 років тому +226

    Toxic and arrogant people are why I hate playing Competetive multiplayer games these days.
    It is ONLY about being the best. And if you are not the best, you are just a sad person who should quit the game.
    When I was in 7th grade, everyone was playing CS 1.6. And asked me if I wanted to join them sometime. So I bought the game when it was on sale and we had our first match together. They were experienced players and I was just a beginner. So they yelled at me, bullied me, laughed at me. Even my dad could hear all the things they were calling out on me and he asked me why I was playing with so rude people?
    Today, I would call myself an experienced player. But I would never go further than that. I am no more than the beginner who joined the game. I respect every player, is it too much to ask to get the same respect? We all booted up the game for a main reason. To have fun.
    Whenever I see people yelling at eachother, screaming at eachother, Even when I used to play WoW, no matter who I was doing raids with, if I messed up or someone else did, they almost went so far to threaten me on my life. One guy even said he wished me and my family would die in a horrible car accident, or that I should go hang myself in the tree so my family could find me the morning after.
    Is that really what gaming is about today? Why are people so low? I stay away from games such as LoL, Dota, Counter Strike and others. Not because I hate the game. I love the games. But because the community makes me sick. If you are one of those toxic players, grow up - and learn to treat your teammates and other playes, pro or not with some respect. Then maybe, you will learn what gaming is about. It's not about being the best - it's about having fun.

      CaleoGaming You've said it pretty much.. competitive.. people will try what ever they can to win, if they don't and can't accept their loss they start to flame.. too bad 99% (roughly estimated since i only met like 5 nice persons yet on LoL) can't accept their loss

      CaleoGaming I agree thatn beeing a flamer and toxic player isn't right. But you say everyone wants to be the best in competetive multiplayer games. What's wrong with that? Competetive games are about comparing your skill with other players and trying to improve yourself. So what is wrong with trying to be the best?

    • @Faick99999
      @Faick99999 8 років тому +4

      CaleoGaming I totally agree , i know i'll never be a pro , or even really good at a game because someday i'll stop
      So all the improvement will be useless. So i just play for fun , if i don't have fun i leave , and then i come back.
      That's it , fun is the most important.

    I became toxic and I admit it. From season one to season four I've been the role model that every teammate would've wanted. I was truly calm, always wanted to calm others as well. Never said a thing to anyone. I got criticized a lot and slowly started to break. Even though I've never trolled in ranked matches, and I never start complaining nor bash anyone first - I can't stand when someone starts blaming me. I know my mistakes, and I always accept them but I hate, just like in the video, when I, for example, miss the smite and suddenly find myself with 9 enemies in a match. I've never ever in my life said anything that would make my teammates tilt FIRST, but once I do start... it's a roller coaster.And I can't stand it, the dissemblance. For example if my teammate misses the smite I won't say jack, I promise you that. I still haven't had a chat ban but I felt the change inside. My own friends are in ow when they go duo with me. But they find it funny: "Hahaha take a look Jacen is flaming, the hell man, what happened?" because they still do not believe that I'm actually doing it. Nor do I believe. This game is a disease. Hateful comments inc, but this is my confession.
    P.S. It might have to do with me always climbing the ladder since season one. I hit my peak at season four (diamond III) and didn't climb a single division eversince. It might be the cause, or the result. Thoughts?

      I have had many a game where I was on that losing side, ready to call it quits... but that One end game ace that enabled us to push down 4 turrets an inhib and the base for the win.
      Score shows the clear advantage, it isn't over until it is over.
      And yeah, I've been on the other end too, on a game that was something like 58/12 (our favor) and the enemy team gets an ace or backdoors a secure victory. :/ Undeserving? Losing? Perseverance.

      Overwatch is too easy, too casual, it will never get to LoL level

    • @BubbleTea033
      @BubbleTea033 7 років тому

      I 100% disagree. At a pro level, I agree, but let's face it, Solo Q is so predictable and boring and the meta just encourages repetition and just doing the motions instead of re-inventing. Snowballing leaves so little room for someone suffering from a feeder to do anything. Overwatch is a new game every time. If you fuck up and die, you might get flamed, but at least I can respawn and charge back in knowing that I still have a chance to make a change. I can also properly strategize with VoIP. League will never be as competitive as Overwatch, I can't even talk to my teammates, how am I supposed to strategize? Pings? Not the same.
      We need to stop treating esports as purely mechanical skill-based. They are and will always be more than that. Almost every diamond player can hit 90 CS at 10 min no problem but none of them know when to call for Baron, or to call the right rotations. Overwatch is easier to play, yes. But everyone gets the same benefits, high elo Overwatch isn't any less competitive, all of that extra shit I don't have to worry about in LoL lets me do more in Overwatch. Communication and Leadership aren't skills you need in League, but the real question is how much do you value those in other games?

    • @bosal1221
      @bosal1221 7 років тому +4

      Remove the "League will never be as competitive as Overwatch" and you have a sound opinion there. Competitiveness is only influenced by teams involved in a game. In esports a competitive tournament is determined by how many teams are similar in strength, and teams are only similar in strength when pushing the boundaries of gameplay, which leads to metas. Before when Winston comps were a thing it was definitely not a different game every time, and the comps picked on most map were the same for rush 1 point capture,chokes, open fields, and end pushing. Even in solo casuals games pretty much flow the same way every game, considering theres only 1 way you can go, which is forward. All games are played within its limited space, they arent real life and even real life games are constrained by the boundaries of rules and reality. When we play a game we can pretty much predict what will happen because in a game having everything be random is not ideal, we play and watch for the controlled outcomes that lead to wins.

    What if I told you, that I love League of Legends, but I hate playing the game? That one of the game that I love most slowly turned into my bane and came so close to almost driving me insane. The game that could give me hours of enjoyment a day slowly faded to gray and on occasion made me question why I even played?
    But I never stopped.
    Albert Einstein once said: "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting the results to change" See, for a long time I believed my actions in a community so large I couldn't even begin to fathom wouldn't have a butterfly effect on the other players in my faction.
    We never saw it coming.
    From the moment we downloaded the launcher and typed in the summoner name we thought of and chosen. Little did we know we opened up a world that would cause us to feel like we're going through the motions. None of us knew when we started that very first match, and I know you will remember it, I know you can remember this how that match would start something did spark something embedded inside of us.
    That desire to win.
    Victory was something we'd strive for and we logged on every night for. The game was beautiful, magic, and it just so happened that there wasn't any META, no team compilation that was better, because every player was innocent, and we didn't know the difference between who uses attack damage and AP, so daily we'd see people failing
    cause they tried playing Swain AD.
    But we didn't care, that we could ignore, because we were too busy trying to get that Infinity Edge on Annie we've been saving for. So as a result, they'd feed, and we'd feed. But somehow, eventually after was seemed like an eternity we had that one game were we got our first VICTORY and it made it
    all worth it.
    All the frustration, the lack of team communication and the times we lost our patience didn't matter because that one victory was the defining moment signaling that we have improved and we savored every second of it, we'd come out on top somehow nothing could stop us now the battle was won, it was over,
    DONE
    We were so happy.
    But through this hardship, is where it all started, even now I can't grasp it, because I don't know where we went wrong but somewhere along the line we decided that scoring a win was more important than our teammates. Playing this game went from an uphill struggle to improve to a downward spiral of abuse. At what stage did we decide that we were any better, like we haven't made the same mistake or gone outside the meta, but instead of showing some patience we become filled with hatred, now if I ever see a player raging at someone failing I can feel my heart breaking because I know that that person we've been labeling as toxic is someone we created, and I hate it. And recently, I can't seem to get a single game where a team will treat each other decently, it's eatin me knowing when I log onto league just to see people teasing and criticizing each other just because someone had a disagreement.
    I've already got five enemies on the other side, why should I have to deal with four more on mine just because of that one baron fight I mistimed my smite. People talk about this community like they're not a part of it, but we are and there's not masking it, if League of Legends were a living thing, we'd be a heart of it, and our heartbeat has stopped, so right now I'm jump starting it.
    I love League of Legends but hate playing it.
    You want a reason to change? Take a pick, my reason is plain as this: I wanna get that feeling back, playing a match with complete strangers but feeling like I'm playing with people who are the exact same as me. So let's bring that back, I miss feeling that.
    You have to be the change you wish to see in the world, so change

    Why are people saying we should just 'get thick-skinned' about league? You wouldn't let some random stranger insult the crap out of you and harass you in the street or at home, the internet is no different, you shouldn't have to mute people, it should be just a game where people have fun, like any other sport where people treat each other with respect

    Ignore the fact that he is talking about a game. Think about it, he is pretty much saying be good to one another. Respect people and their lifestyle. Reminds me of a poetry jam, very well done. Bravo

      ***** Copy ok why are u toxic, ask your self that then take that answer and apply it to your next game or for something in real life.

      I realised that 90% of the players that I play are toxic, so I should also join that 90%. It's common that humans like ourselves like to join the dominating team.

      ***** lol. Lame. Don't you know its always more fun to route for the underdog. That way, when the underdog catches up with the overbearing majority, people's feelings shift. I play games for enjoyment and to take a break from day to day grinding. Life has enough struggles on a day to day basis, why make more in something your doing for fun?

    You my best sir, deserve a cookie, you know what you deserv the whole cookie plate. You are now my new idol and this literely almost got me to tears, this is really inspiring and I think that if all lol players out there, toxic or not, would just sit down and watch this, it would lead to a huge improvement in the community. And I hope that riot have recognized you in some way, because after watching this video I can say that me myself have acutely improved both as a player, also as a teamplayer. I feel like I can't express hove awesome this is, but I can say this, it's the best league related video on the whole internet. Pretty much all other videos are for your personal enjoyment, you watch it, you appreciate it, and you forget it, but this one will stay with you

      But it still send us a message. No matter if it's a remix, a parodie or selfmade. This video shows us what WE had done to League and it's up to us, to change it.
