Hi there! I am looking for a good way to estimate a mediation model with a binary mediator. Following the method that you show here, the indirect effect is calculated as the product of the coefficient from one logistic and one linear regression, and if I am not mistaken, the p-value is gotten by applying a z-distribution to this. Would you say that this is an acceptable method to test an indirect effect?
Hi, Dr. Mike. I just want to ask if it's possible to run data analysis using a binary independent variable, categorical mediator, and countinous ratio dependent variable. Thank you.
I learned a lot in path analysis by using your videos. Thank you so much. Can you please share some references related to path analysis especially to deal with categorical dependent variable and categorical independent variable?. So that it will be useful for my research work. I searched a lot but so far I didn't get anything. Thank you once again
Thanks for a great video. In model 4 (the parallel mediation with categorical variables), how concerned should we be about the negative variance estimates?
Oh Mike Crowson! Another video that saved me after 4 hrs of playing with lavaan on my own.

How would the code need to be changed if we are using a categorical predictor? For example, what if MGoal was categorical?
I second this question!

Very helpful video, thanks!
