MOUNT HARMUKH EXPEDITION (5,074 mtrs) / Summit day 07-SEP-2023.

On 05-sep-2023 i along with 7 more team members started our journey from srinagar to Kudara village (Bandipora) for summiting Harmukh Peak . Kudara is the last village where vehicle movement ends. ist we took permission from the nearest Army camp which is mandatory. we parked our cars at safe loaction and loaded our stuff on horses upto our base camp i.e near Sarbal Lake. we started our Trekk aroun 01:00 pm (afternoon) from Kudara village and Reached aroung 6:00 Pm evening to our base camp.Here we pitched our tents and made food arrangements as we were hungry, after finish our dinner we discussed our tomorrow's plan and then slept. Next day 06-sep-2023 we woke up around 7:00 am and prepared our breakfast. Then we distributed centralized equipments and checked all personal gears. Sharp 9:00 Am we started our trekk from Base camp to advance base camp this journey was challenging and leg breaking. This vertical climb of 6:00 hours made all team members very tired. This trerrain was full of loose rocks which makes it bit scary as it was prone to rockfalls but all members showed courage and dedication which boost morale of all team members. finally around 5:00 Pm we reached our Advance Camp where we pitched our tents on Glacier field. we tooks some rest and started preparing dinner and sorted our equipments which were needed for tomorrow's summit. Now this was the day which everone was waiting for i.e.07-sep-2023 summit day. we woke up early morning aroung 6:00 Am and started preparing our breakfast, after finishing our breakfast we distributed dry fruits among all team members. This was our fuel for summit day. everyone started packing their equipments and day packs, by 7:30 everyone was ready to leave for summit.By grace of Allah Weather was quite favourable. After many challanges we finally reached kon the summit around 10:00 Am. It was very joyful moment for everyone on reaching summit. on same day we descended directly to our base camp as no one was ready to stay at advance camp due to freezing temperature.Finally we reached 5:00 Pm to our base camp where we stayed in a hut (DOKA) for night and tomorrow early morning we left to Kudara village boarded our cars and reached safely to our homes.
