First Annual Pearson "Equity and Social Justice" Lecture by Rabbi Morris Allen

The First Annual Dorothy Pearson Lecture in "Equity and Social Justice" on April 17, 2012 was given by Rabbi Morris Allen, and funded thanks to the generous support of Ph.D. alumna Dr. Dorothy Pearson.
Rabbi Allen has long been an advocate for social justice. His actions on behalf of immigrant workers in the meatpacking industry, and his leadership to create a "justice certification" that would certify that kosher food companies treat their workers in a humane and dignified manner, resulted in his being named one of America's "50 most significant Jewish leaders." Rabbi Allen speaks about his "quest for social justice through the reform of workplace conditions."
