I still lust after one now! The whole thing is incredibly sexy from front to back. Were a lot of them imported to where you live? Or did you just see them in magazines and such?
@@Mason_van_Bike In the 1st half of the 90's we had a huge boom in motorcycle sales in Europe. Many bike shops brought in grey imports from Japan. RVF400 was rare though, CBR400RR and VFR400 were a lot more common. GSXR400 was also rare. ZXR400 and FZR400 were in official lineups.
Interesting! I had no idea that some manufacturers actually brought the 400/4s over officially. I assumed they were all gray imports. Thanks for the info!
@@Mason_van_Bike Also some 250 2-strokes were officially imported: Kawasaki KR1-S, Yamaha TZR250, Suzuki RGV250. Later in the 90's Aprilia had RS250, which used the same Suzuki RGV250 engine :)
@@livonian desperately trying to get my hands on one of those, but prices are going up like crazy lately. Some shops over here want $10k USD for a decent condition model.
Remember lusting after a RVF400 in the 90's
