Biggin up the 91/92 Billy and mandy hardcore crew, I've just turned 50 and listening to this beautiful music it has a massive anti aging effect,a mental time to be alive,it's impossible to get bored hardcore, wouldn't have missed it for the world, big up. 👍💯💥
That is what I am finding out right now and I couldn‘t be happier. My musiclife became bland cause I used to be House and Techno snob. Now that I remember that I used to love this Sounds as a kid, when my bigger sister was listening to this tunes, there is a whole new world for me to explore now, which is all of 90ies jungle rave and hardcore ! UA-cam is a treasure trove!
It was a beautiful era 1992/95 for such motivational sounds. The amalgamation of influences like Jarre tangerine dream madchester hip hop acid jazz and 70’s soul 80’s rock to name a few blended to burst into euphoric energy. Many of course used ecstasy pills but I used to push myself into a shaking pump down the gym circa 92 when it kicked off at 18 with these sounds on my Walkman mixed on tapes. Or we used to ram it on on a getto blaster in our local basement gym with clanging metal plates driving through sets with no posers filming themselves or being distracted on smart phones looking at shit tok. Proper old school gym sounds. Then I’d walk home with in complete darkness fat controller on my orange sponge headphones feeling like a gladiator 😄
Yup….especially with the melodies and such….and some of the breaks on the older tunes arent quantized the way they are these days so u gotta find beats with a similar unquantized touch to em
They're fast tunes with lots going on. I've just started mixing. I find 45rpm tracks easier and cue both tracks in my headphones. Trying to listen to the speakers and headphones is hard 😫
Old vid, but I gotta say this is the first UA-cam mix of 90s breakbeats that sounds like I remember parties sounding like as a kid in 90s Seattle. Hebbs, you're damn good,
The late 90's rave scene was even alive in backwoods Alabama. There were raves at least 2-3 weekends a month in downtown Birmingham plus we'd drive to Atlanta to the Tabernacle a lot. All the gorgeous women... all the good drugs (back when pure mdma was the norm).... and all the best music of my generation. No way I'd do it again as old as I am now but those were the best days of my life. Right out of high school, no responsibilities, and lots and lots big beat/breakbeat techno (we called it all techno back then). Perfect timing.... those were the days.
Man , i gotta say .... this has been a very special set to me. The last 60 minutes have been pure bliss down memory lane. I can clearly say Im an oldschool raver. I was there from the very beginning and Id like to thank Kuraigu Bynumu aka Dj Teis , Chris Skywalker , Mister Nice Guy de JNeisser , Dj bassface Sacha , club Session in idar oberstein , ms connection mannheim , Krypton rave carnaby , and the whiole 90 vibe ...bless this
Banging mix, glad you let dub war play long, is my favourite tune & was 1st tune I ever brought, 88-92 by far the greatest scene, was my mid teens, now am 50, still love & dance away to these bangers
Top top mix!!! Came here expecting breakbeat. Even happier it's Proper Hardcore. 88-94 is simply untouchable, Acid House, Hardcore and Jungle was so ahead of its time.
For a minute,I was driving a xr2 following a convoy of cars in the middle of nowhere, then suddenly as you come over the crest of a hill, you see it,all the lights .it's dropping time...
43 here was 18-19 when these tunes dropped. Brings me back to much simpler times. Remember going out and people didn't bury their heads in their phones. It was about the experience and the ancient yearning to maker that tribal connection. Fuck me you got a talent for this style. You have mixed in the most epic tunes of the era.
Just stumbled on this mix and your channel , taken me right back to the early 90s at secondary school , pirate radio stations in and around south London and beyond . Wax city and apple records in Croydon . Can’t stop listening , so many decent tunes . Anyone got a mitsi?
When I was 16, my family when on holiday so I got the 12-10s out in the lounge and set up. Nobody came round except my mate Keith and his nan sylvia. I did a two and a half hour set to my monged out mate and his 82 year old nan. Thought I had made the big time ha ha.
absolute belter of a set lad, some of these tunes are stone cold classics by anybody's definition. amazing memories, thanks for the upload, back in 2015!
You have transported me back in time..there was a club called NASA in Manhattan back in the day..it didnt even open till like 4am..we would go to Limelight and then go there after..we would be out till 10 am.. this set your doing right now is identical..I can close my eyes and see the lights and smell the smoke machine..thanks for the memories brother!!😀❤
This is legitimate. This brings me back to the early/mid 90’s raves in the UK and Colorado. Warehouses, barns, gyms, theaters, industrial units 11- 6am. Fat pants, speaker huggers, buzzing plates. Thank-you!!!! When and where.
Just started getting into this kinda music and it's dope asf watching u do all these things on the dj board thing, everything is still kinda new to me but I'm digging it a lot. Good work!
+Jay Bee it's good for when you walk off without realising you still have your headphones round your neck! It's pops out rather than snaps and drags the whole mixer with it. And Yes I have done it!
Hey bro...awesome ....you transported me back to NASA in Manhattan back in the day. We used to go till like 10 am in that place and that was after the Limelight closed at 5. Best times of my life. Much love and respect bro
this brought me back to my days at NASA, The Muni and Asylum in the 90's and early 2000's here in the States. Thank you... this is what started it all. x
Any Set that starts with that iconic scratch intro has to be listened to in full, and straight after walking my dog that is what will be happening! I can't wait, lol
Great old skool mixing Hebbs. Appreciated the subtle filter tweak during that Krome & Time panned flange 34:33 and hats off to you for clipping the bass on the outgoing. Skills son, skills.
Luvved how you gradually built up the thrill and fun of the 90's UK Breakbeat scene with some sterling classics. Amazing how you peaked the mix with Dougal & Vibes' "Feel Free" around the 56:29 mark. A real hands in the air 🙌🖐🙌🖐 rush!!! Congrats on a brilliant mix!
Hebbs is every bit as good as Ratty, Slipmatt, Grooverider, Bukem or anyone else from the days! Keep the dream alive, bro 👍🥵🕺 Much love from the 2step eejit! ❤
Another classy mix fella 😎 the vibe the energy awesome mixing skills I've been pumping this set everyday for the past two weeks 🔥 you legend keep em coming bro.
My man again more flawless mixing. Break beat hardcore wasn't my thing wen I dj'd but alot of these tunes are mint. A real skill to mix these, as there's so much going on with each tune. But you make it look easy. I used to play more of the later Happy Hardcore and have well over 150 of the classics. Keep up the fine work. Glad to see a proper dj doing it properly. Not like these jokes of today who wouldn't even know how to turn on a proper Turntable!!!
Wow.just stumbled upon these mixes.big up the man like hebbs.i grew up mixing these tracks n I still got em too.really well done for keeping the vibe alive 👍👍👍👍👍😎
Break beat always had some kind of magic nostalgic sound that make 90 s such happy time where everyone was dancing together.Well mixed by this gentelman .
Always wanted a pair of 1200's. Never happened unfortunately ( kids and life kicked in ) you got me thinking again. Stupid grin on my face (according to my missus) right through this set. Got me tearing up a bit. A masterpiece in the you tube music archives. All the old skool out there, love you all ✌😍😄
Please subscribe and check out my other videos and livestreams. Trance, Hardcore, DnB, Jungle, House and Techno.

What is the title of the version of Sweet Harmony?
It’s the original mix
Was on Radio 1 last Saturday afternoon!
How the wheel turns.

90s London was a wicked place to grow up.
I know, what happened. :-)
What im 20 years older dam u breakbeat
anywhere in the UK really - damn we had it good. Then the Criminal Justice Act happened
And I managed to get myself clean and sober. Best thing I ever did.
@Roland Roland jesus christ, read a fucking book.
Instantly 28 years younger! The new beauty product! If only we could relive those days. LOVE
English rave music, best on the planet. Old skool and new skool.
It was a beautiful era 1992/95 for such motivational sounds. Its all going to go to Russia. The UK has Al (Elvis to look foward to) lol
90s England was a great place to grow up 😂
Trip II The Moon still gets me moving around. One of my all-time favourite tracks.
I lived that time! I was there when Breakbeat was on all the radio stations! Magic time. This video took me back in time! I'm young again!
I personally find mixing old skool breakbeat VERY difficult, so props where they're due!
Breakbeat mixes are where the skill is at
Go for the snare not the beat
Yup….especially with the melodies and such….and some of the breaks on the older tunes arent quantized the way they are these days so u gotta find beats with a similar unquantized touch to em
They're fast tunes with lots going on. I've just started mixing. I find 45rpm tracks easier and cue both tracks in my headphones. Trying to listen to the speakers and headphones is hard 😫
Lots of cutting required. Not the smooth fading of progressive house or trance.
Old vid, but I gotta say this is the first UA-cam mix of 90s breakbeats that sounds like I remember parties sounding like as a kid in 90s Seattle. Hebbs, you're damn good,
+Creamy Pete thanks man. Didn't realise there was much of a scene stateside back then. Good music travels!

Banging mix, glad you let dub war play long, is my favourite tune & was 1st tune I ever brought, 88-92 by far the greatest scene, was my mid teens, now am 50, still love & dance away to these bangers
Actually, this whole set is totally stunning!
Top top mix!!! Came here expecting breakbeat. Even happier it's Proper Hardcore. 88-94 is simply untouchable, Acid House, Hardcore and Jungle was so ahead of its time.

Absolutely spot on. Used to fly all night and day on just one dove😊
Every tune takes me right back to early 90's what i wouldn't give to go back for one more night....quality mix
Is it really 30 years ago? What just happened? Maybe I've just woke up from one of the numerous trips I took back then. Great memories man ;-)
I've had this on repeat for about 12 hours
Just stumbled on this mix and your channel , taken me right back to the early 90s at secondary school , pirate radio stations in and around south London and beyond . Wax city and apple records in Croydon . Can’t stop listening , so many decent tunes . Anyone got a mitsi?
