@@Snerdy0867 I was a total newb when I made this mix. I was told that the "mixing" of break tunes is mostly fast cuts, back-and-forth, on those breaks. That's kinda the whole concept behind how BB tunes are built, and meant to be mixed. I was stubborn and eager to build a mix that I could listen to. I hadn't developed those cutting and juggling skills, so I blended almost all of these tunes.

After ghostwriters, I think people are even using AI to anallize the songs that get a lot of attention, and create songs out of some type of AI logarithms or something like that, Now we can't deny that a similar method was used to make the old stuff (like on this mix), but it was real people sitting in front of synths, machines, and mind boggling knowledge of routing, tweaking, and programing this stuff. They came up with a lot of it on their own, but a lot of copying and straight biting still went on, but it was different. Music lovers (not businesses) were hanging out building tunes. For me, It was my age, the era mr music styles available the lack of 3 deep sub-genres, and of course the NEWNESS to it all. Especially the sneaking into abandoned warehouses, and being twisted on the good med, innear darkness. I loved that darkness. Hell, you could sit on the cabinets at a lot of parties. Now it's often bright as fuck, with a spot on the DJ. DJs often used to be set up off in a corner. But still today, there are people putting their hearts and minds into their music and using old school equipment and new equipment. But, the era of "new" music is gone, like anything else. I got chance to get some decks when I was like 34, I had just learned to mix when I mad this, but I had to make at least one mix of classics. I only spent a year mixing. Now I have 500 records and I sold the decks. I hav an XDJ I've never even used. I should get back into it, but never have the motivation.

It's almost sad how little recognition some of these artist receive. But a lot of it started underground. This mix is full of classics and anthem type stuff. These artists made tons of music under multitudes of monikers, and crew titles. It's too much for one to see what each of these people were involved in. And that was the underground. There are so many beautiful tunes that didn't get the communities attention, or hype, that you can find and enjoy.
