Usually makeup is constructed and designed by chemical laboratories that specialise in creating makeup based on brand owners wishes. An example for that is that most high end eye shadows are made in the same factory in Italy. Most brand owners do not have the know how or ability to truly create an eye shadow or an eye liner… They need people who do know. And that’s why most brands use the same creators laboratories and factories to make them. Just as there companies that are savvy at creating makeup can’t make it on their own as they do not have the faces or people that can make a brand take off on the market. Therefore these collaborations become great symbiotic alliances. And thus very similar formulations can be found in many different brands. Because the formulas are often owned by the lab or factory that makes them. Not by the brands themselves. Lisa discussed this very fact when she launched her cleanser. Which is a product that she is the creator of together with a laboratory. Which means she owns her recipe. Should Victoria Beckham Beauty launch the same style cleanser, they would need her permission to do so. In essence most things soled by brands are formulations created by a third party. The brand Beauty Pie is founded completely on this fact. They source where brands pick up their best selling products and then approaches the real makers of the products and offers them an opportunity to re-sell the same product under a different name under the Beauty pie umbrella. And there is not one thing the original brands can do about it. As they do not own their formulas. Now having said that. An ingredient list is not the same because the same ingredients are used. There are tons of sponge cake recipes that all contains sugar, eggs flower milk and lemon for instance. But still will smell and taste different and be different in consistency. So containing the same ingredients doesn’t say much unless you also see the quantities and how it is combined and prepared. I do however agree that these pencils are very similar and are also similar in the sense that they are a bit different compared to many other formulas in the same genre of eye pencils that are supposed to dry down. They are very tug free which makes them great on more mature eyes though. Also on that demographic it also not a problem that they are more smudge friendly. Since you often then do not want a super sharp line. But on younger skin I can totally get these can create some problems. But that’s just the way it is with makeup. There really is no such thing as one size fits all… About the whys behind not sharing all sorts of reviews. One has to understand. And this is universal. Companies who create and sell products are only interested in one thing and that is to make their stock fly off their shelves. In essence it is always about making money. That is what business is all about. There are no such thing as an altruistic makeup or skincare brand… No matter how lovely a person Lisa Eldridge is - when it comes to create makeup products and sell them - that is about business. And nothing else. It’s not her fault. It’s just what the world of marketing economy is about. And as such they are vulnerable to negative reviews. For obvious reasons. As the market is fickle. All it takes is that an idea like the one you have here goes viral and people begin to believe that her eye pencils are not working - then people will stop buying them. And then the stock will not move from the shelves and in an instant a brand can become in serious debt. No brand can these days afford an altruistic or even “honest” approach… They need people to believe that the products they sell are the best. Otherwise people will not buy them. And that is why you can never make “honest” reviews about a product that the brand will embrace. As it can kill their product and their business in a heartbeat should a broader audience choose to listen to your particular single voice. It does however not mean a brand will not listen. Lisa Eldridge has listened. And for instance her cream blushes, the ones in the tube that she launched a few years ago never returned. Because some people thought the tube was not functioning right… A brand like Lisa’s that I believe is mostly self funded or at least she has a large say in what the brand does. Which is not often the case. But that also makes her brand more vulnerable. As there is not a huge conglomerate behind her to deal with financial problems that will arise if people begin to think a product is not good…
Thanks for all this info - I’ve heard about some of this, but you summarized a lot about this industry and marketing in a fairly short paragraph - I think it’s fascinating - it fascinating how brands “re-sell” other products under their brand name - I wish I knew more about which companies do this bc I see it being ok sometimes or real predatory - I think we can tell which brands may be doing this, but marketing really clouds this information to consumers - I do love how LE made the recipe and owns the recipe of her cleanser … she does seem to really try to be original and own her ideas and products and has a unique vision for what she can make uniquely … which probably is why she releases just a few products each year - she’s made many products for other large brands, she probably wants to have her unique direction without restrictions - otherwise why bother, bc her own brand is a higher risk with leads resources compared to the large brands she’s worked for I don’t own and VB products, but I’m kind of impressed since she basically started it as a celebrity… but she also seems to care more about her brand - partnering with AB and creating somewhat unique, curated items I kind of wonder if LE and VB influenced each other about the eyeliner type- they “seem” to be good friends - I mean, I have no idea, but they say they’re good friends - the eyeliners are so similar -mots just a little theory I have that has no basis what-so-ever - but I kind of think it would be sweet And you’re right -- formulation is everything - think about generic vs brand name medication - the active is the same, but the formulation does not work the same for all people - and of course… all cakes have basically the same ingredients- baking is an exact science - formulation, order of mixing, technique, and timing make huge huge differences
You have done an awesome job on comparing these two brands. So thorough! I agree with your experience with using the pencils. I am partial to VB beauty. As for my own take, with my oily lids, the colours run. Definitely not long lasting but I love VB variety & find her products have healthier ingredients for the skin, also truly luxe, everything VB puts out. Thank you so much for your review. I’ve learned quite a bit of details from your research! Wonderful & honest review, that’s what we need more of! 💗
Hello, thank you so much! Sometimes it takes a while to do the research, film and edit especially. So it means a lot when people like yourself write encouraging comments 🙏 Thanks so much for watching ♥️♥️♥️
Thanks for this comparison! It's so helpful and clear! I have something to say about the last part of your video. I have been a Lisa Eldridge fan for years. And I started to like her and her products even more thanks to your UA-cam channel, Deborah! Your reviews are always honest and timely, as well as elegant and classy. Thank you for all your hard work! I wish you jaw-dropping collaborations with Lisa in the near future. You deserve it more than anyone else! XX
Hi Olga, thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement 🥺 Comments from people like yourself, just remind me why I do this content in the first place and helps me to keep going. Thank you so much! 😘♥️♥️♥️
This video is coming just at the right time.😊 I've ordered Sea Grey from VB a couple of days ago and I have a few from LE. Always wondered how they compare. I do agree with you on the wear of LE eye liners. I honestly expected a bit more.
Hi Lisa! 🙋🏻♀️ If it’s your first experience of VB, I hope you enjoy them! I’d love to know your thoughts on comparison once you’ve tried them for a while. Thanks so much for watching ♥️♥️♥️
The VB liners stay put on me all day. I think you should try application with an angled brush. When I go in directly with any brand of pencil, I get specks of fallout and other transfer. Stamping with a brush will give you the thinnest possible application which I do think does go along way to make it last. Once it dries, you can alway dip the brush in setting spray and stamp over the liner. It literally lasts a 14 hour day for me. I haven’t tried the LE yet since I have so many VBs. RE ingredient list, you can have the same ingredients but the ratios are what make a formula. Consider classic bread: same ingredients, but recipe and technique subtleties make for a very different product.
Hello, you’ve shared good tips. I often don’t have the time or patience to faff about with liners. I’d rather apply it in one go and be done with it. Plenty of liners perform well without the hassle, for example, the Lancôme Le Stylo Waterproof, Chanel Stylo, Bobbi Brown Perfectly Defined Gel liner, etc. There are also plenty of hassle-free liquid liners, like the Hindash one, for example. None of these have specks of fallout or transfer. As for the ingredients, I hear what you’re saying about the ratio. This may make the pencils perform differently; I was simply confused about how and why they have exactly the same ingredients. Also, I’ve had countless people tell me that the VB and LE pencils perform almost the same. If one has to start using tools or special techniques to make a supposed long-wearing product last longer, that suggests it’s not great for longevity. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, tips and for watching! ♥️♥️♥️
Deb, here's the deal with getting content shared as I see it…or being “ selected” in any scenario…in my opinion, you are very intelligent and actually do such a thorough job that your videos are really elite. The problem is that when you are excellent like that it will rarely appeal to the masses…I mean, the average person just wants things on the surface….and I believe that in your situation it’s simply a numbers game. I love your channel because of how sophisticated it is…but if you think about. It…all the finest things are not the most popular……deep integrity….honest hard work…beauty instead of glamour…you know what I’m saying…you are a classic..own it and you will always succeed..maybe not in the way you want to…but something even better than you imagined most likely. 🙂🙏🏼⭐❤
Hello Tracey, as always, you are the calm in the storm (being my mind) 😉 It can sometimes be demotivating, but your comment has reminded me to keep focused. It’s a reminder to stick to my guns and stay true to what I set out to do. Thanks so much for your support; it’s genuinely appreciated! 😘♥️♥️♥️
So true!! I will also remember your comment, also for my own work with tango: "The problem is that when you are excellent like that it will rarely appeal to the masses… the average person just wants things on the surface". And also true, it's a numbers game. I hope you keep making these beautiful make up videos, I really enjoy watching them.
Hello, this is so encouraging to me. I’m really grateful for your comment and subscription. I hope to do many more videos in 2024. Happy new year! ♥️♥️♥️
I think your disappointment in a brand you have poured so much love and work into is understandable! Lisa pencils I bought last month. I bought the brown and the gold. The gold I loved but the brown is so pigmented it's a challenge to know how to use it the best. I'm sure VB pencil is similar. I'm not sure if I would buy them again (or need to since I'm only using it sparingly!) but the cost of the VB is prohibited. In CDN dollars, they come to almost $40. Lisa's are a little cheaper. I wouldn't recommend either for that reason alone.
Hi Kathleen, thanks for your comments! I am personally happy to invest in good eyeliners if they do what they say and have great longevity. I don’t want to pay high prices for a pencil where the liner ends up smudged under my eyes by noon that day 😅 I hope you have a great weekend! ♥️♥️♥️
Stay honest and genuine, I really distrust UA-camrs who say positive things about a product I’ve tried and know is terrible. It’s a real shame brands only favour the bloggers who lie for free products, misleading thousands of people - all considering parting with their hard earned money for a product they give positive reviews, when morally that’s plain wrong! I bought the LE pencils after a UA-camr I watch raved about them, and now I don’t trust her! I love the LE lip glosses and cleanser but I’d rather this was a safe space where the comparison to other products out there speak for themselves. Thank you for your genuine feedback, it should only serve to push brands to re formulate and take on customer feedback, not just employee flattery xx
Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging comments! This is why I sometimes don’t rush to review the product. This also means I miss out on views, and I know it’s a rat race with most bloggers, as they know the quicker the upload (from the launch date), the more views their content will generate. But for a product like this, I wanted to do a wear test and properly review it before uploading. I imagine many bloggers who raved about it only tried it on camera once and thought it was brilliant, without seeing the “aftermath”, as I like to call it 😅 Thanks once again! ♥️♥️♥️
I would just add that just be you didn’t like a product and a UA-camr does doesn’t mean they are lying. Makeup is so subjective for style, application, and formula preferences, on top of the vast variety of skin textures and skin types it’s impossible to make a universal product. Just because it doesn’t work for you doesn’t mean they are lying when they say they like it. I’ve hated many products my friends love and the general public like and I’ve loved things my friends haven’t. My friend Daria says the melt lipstick are her favorite and I know most think they are too dry. Some said the Haus labs paints were too hard to use and I love them, while everyone seems to love the About Face and they do not work for me. While some people are not honest I would avoid conflating difference in experience and opinion as dishonesty.
same for me I found all LE products I tried miserable, false colours not like mentioned or shown, shimmer of liquid shadow really flat and not so wet as they look in her video. pencils impossible to use. too creamy never dry!! with two application you have to redo the point. Foundation is thick, sign the pores and not so medium/high coverage. Awful brand
@@QueerBonesno no they show just other colours intensified by special lights. especially for the liquid eyeshadows completely different as expected and flat without dimensions. not almost wet look as she means in her video. and thick!! too tick!
@QueerBones Apologies for the delayed response. I didn’t see your comment until now. I agree that not all makeup products are universal, and I’ve stated that in several of my videos. You can’t really compare foundation to eyeliners, as it has to do with skin type that the formula may not work. Foundation is way more complicated than this but I’ll simplify it for my example. A matte, long-wearing formula that’s oil-free, is not going to work well on my dry skin and may even emphasise texture and make it patchy. But if I were to ask that brand, they’d confirm that it’s wrong for my skin type. But the majority (not all) of people with oily skin would say it sits beautifully on their skin and lasts a long time. The opposite scenario is a hydrating, light formula with oil and all the emollients. A dry-skinned person (and most not all) like myself would say it’s a great foundation and, finally, something hydrating, blah blah! But an oily-skinned person would say it’s rubbish as it doesn’t last and slides off their face by noon. That’s because it’s not meant for their skin type. Even with lip products, many people won’t always agree, but there will be a majority consensus. For example, if a lip product claimed to be long-wearing, most people will usually find it to be long-wearing. The disagreement is usually in how dry someone finds it. Some will say it’s brilliant and lasts ages, and another will say it’s horribly dry and makes their lips crack. But that comment doesn’t mean it’s not long-wearing. However, when an eyeliner is produced, and the brand claims it lasts 16 hours, it’s waterproof, budge-proof and transfer-proof, you better make sure it lasts with all those promises. I think you misunderstood but I never said I didn’t like the product. I said it’s nice and creamy and glides on. But is it a long-wearing pencil? Absolutely not, and that’s the ONLY thing I faulted them on. I also didn’t call everyone who liked them liars, I specifically said those who tried it once and said they loved them. You don’t know how well a “long-wearing” pencil lasts just from one application in the video. The thing is if you look at my comments, the majority of people agreed with me on the longevity. I’m not making things up to make LE look bad. I know you’re a new to my channel, but I’ve been loyal to LE for almost ten years, and she’s the reason for me becoming a makeup artist. However, as a UA-camr, I have always wanted to be transparent on my channel, and I feel I have a responsibility to say if something doesn’t work. You might not like to hear this, but it's true, many bloggers will state that they love a product and will never slate the brand because they want recognition, free products, future collaborations, etc. That’s just how it is, but I’ll never be that person. If I had sat there and raved about this being the best long-wearing pencil, I would have been assassinated. I just told MY truth, and thankfully, many people agreed. I’m sorry to have upset you, as that wasn’t the intention. Thanks for your comments.
I would agree that I noticed what you’re describing. I’m not sure that I understand it either. But I love your reviews - I feel like I can honestly rely on them for information. They do play into my buying decisions!
Hello lovely 🙋🏻♀️ Thanks so much and honestly; that’s the biggest compliment. Apparently it’s got something to do with ratio and percentage of ingredients that make it “different”, similar to the Zara example I gave. Thanks so much for watching! 😘♥️♥️♥️
Appreciate the honest review. From my own experience with both pencils, I had great results with LE and terrible ones with the VB pencil. I was surprised to hear you say that the LE smudged on you because it only slightly fades on me after a long day and lasts through a whole evening out. Also when I swatch on the back of my hand, it’s kind of a chore to get it off. Only speaking for me personally, the LE pencils are my dream pencil that I have tried to find for years. Unfortunately the VB pencil smudged and faded and I never even bother with it anymore. It really goes to show that products perform differently on everyone. I’m learning through your video that I probably do not have oily lids. I would hazard a guess that the testers for these products also didn’t have oily lids. Perhaps a good lesson here for each brand is to do further testing on different skin types.
Hi, thank you for sharing your experience and like you said, I believe it performs differently on everyone. Even with myself, I don’t have the oiliest lids compared to some people but it still doesn’t last. Out of curiosity, which shades did you get from LE? Thanks for watching! ♥️♥️♥️
I placed an order last weekend and added Renaissance Gold as I was curious about the quality. The liner glides extremly smooth and I love the colour. I prefer the grungy look and for this style the liner works very well. I used it in the upper waterline and it stayed put well enough. Usually I use a very hard Lancome or MAC one for this purpose and I did not notice much difference. So yes, easily smudgeable and moving a lot yet quite lasting in the waterline which surprised me. I do not own VB but I plan purchasing a more unique colour from her line. Due to your comparison I am even more interested in the liner. Thank you 🖤
Hello! 🙋🏻♀️ I used to use and love the Chanel Stylo one for longevity but it was a little hard. But a subscriber suggested the Lancôme Le style waterproof one and it’s fantastic. It glides on (in a creamy and not wet way) and stays put all day. I’d highly recommend it! I’d definitely recommend a fun colour and one with the shimmer or jewel finish from VB. I hope you love them! Thanks so much for watching ♥️♥️♥️
I believe we are all here watching and supporting you because of your honesty and integrity and thoroughness. I haven’t tried any IG the LE eye pencils and I’m not sure that I will. I have several of the VBB eye pencils; the colours are beautiful and glide on effortlessly but I am very careful about how I use them (with primer and over powder eyeshadow) so I don’t end up looking Iike a raccoon! I hope you are keeping well Deb 🥰oxox
Hi Ruth, thank you so much! Though I'm thankful for all the support I get on my channel, I'm most thankful to you for your consistent and genuine support. I appreciate you lots! I hope you're well 🙋🏻♀️❤️❤️❤️
I'm glad I didn't fall for any of these pencils. I love Lisa's velvet lipsticks, Ribbon is my favourite, I had big hopes for Velveteens- it didn't work for me-last even shorter than her velvet lipstick and I found it difficult to apply evenly. that's why I didn't buy eye pencils when they launched. I had the chance to visit her stand in Liberty London and tried them-beside beautiful shades they are nothing stand out.
Many thanks for this review. I would have liked to have a comparison of Victoria Beckham's Satin Kajal Liner vs Charlotte Tilbury's Color Chameleon's in terms of durability and smudge proofness. If possible 😊
Hello, thanks for your comment! I only compared the two brands as they shared the same ingredients, similar packaging and durability. I also believe it was also what most people wanted me to compare. However, in terms of CT’s colour chameleon pencil, I’m a total fan and have been for a long time! My go-to shade is “bronzed garnet” and I love using it as both an eyeliner and eyeshadow. I find you have to work with it quickly because once it dries, it stays put. In terms of longevity, I trust the CT one more! I do need to experiment with more shades and you’ve inspired me to! Thanks so much for watching! ♥️♥️♥️
I love the LE eye liners. So easy to use, they just glide on. I have no way to compare to the VB ones (not available where I live). But I am happy with what I have
Hi Deborah, I really enjoyed this review and hearing your thoughts on not only the products but also the brand and customer service. I just want to say, as a viewer, how much I appreciate your honesty, and efforts that you put into your videos, hosting giveaways, etc. For the customer service, I have to say my personal experience with Lisa’s team has been best in class thus far. However, I have a feeling, since her expansion into major retailers this year, that it’s not going to improve her customer service one bit. I only hope that as her brand continues to grow, she continues to develop products and hold her customer service team to her same high standard, as well as selecting retail partners that are aligned with her brand’s philosophy. I’m not a huge Pat McGrath fan, but I follow her releases because I love a lot of the content creators that love her brand. And it seems to be a very sad state of affairs with her Mothership palettes. I really hope for more from Lisa. But at the end of the day, I recognize this is a business and a brand after all. Sending you warm wishes from America. ❤
Hello lovely, I agree with everything you’ve written. Including the customer service from Lisa’s team being one of the best. Thanks so much for your continued support and I hope you’re having a great start to the week ♥️♥️♥️
I appreciate your honest review. Ah its hard to comment this, because yes other content creators, choose or just say its great, or kind of just go through the surface. Not really accentuate, that the brand’s claims are not truth, in other ways , to be very diplomatic. I cant judge anyone. I kind of already know, which content creator, i am going to watch , to get those true answers, and there are a few. But i still watch the « others », just for a different reason. So you know yourself, that brands not going to like it, so its such a thin line, ah and its sad. I want to say Stay true to yourself, but at the same time, i want your channel to grow, and get sponsorships🙏🙏🙏 Have a blessed day🙏❤️
Hello 🙋🏻♀️ I agree, and think it's common that people watch various bloggers for different reasons. I will definitely stay true to myself regardless of whether my channel grows or not. I'm just thankful for support from people like yourself. Have a great week ❤️❤️❤️
Knowing you are a big fan of LE,I appreciated more that you stick to the reality and honesty about their products. It's understandable one brand prefers to share more positive feedback instead of neutral or criticism cause this's their business, one of the business' cores is to make more profit, that's the nature, please don't worry about whether their team like you or not, basically the company take the criticism quietly but doesn't like more other people notice cause there are too many competitors in the industry.Again this's showing the precious value as some content creators like you.Much loved ❤❤❤
I totally agree with everything you have said. As far as the "copyright" component when it comes to makeup all they have to do is change the percentages of the ingredients and the hierarchy of the ingredients. It's the same as the fashion industry and even the supplement industry. I have super oily lids and I mean oily lids. By the end of the day, all I have to do is take a tissue and my natural oils work as a makeup remover. I own Victoria Beckham's eyeliners because I enjoy her shades but I NEVER expect any of them to last the whole day. The only way I've had them work for me is really as a base of a base. I use the Hindash color fluid or the Armani tint eye liquid shadow in a neutral color as a primer and then the Victoria Beckham's eyeliner as a wash of color then I pat a shadow over it. The only liners that have ever really lasted on me and what I mean by lasted is that I can still somewhat see them at the end of a work day, have been the hourglass, chanel stylo yeux, the byredo khol pencil, and the milani (drug store) eyeliner. I wish Victoria and Lisa would just make eyeshadow sticks in the colors of their eyeliners but I guess they would have to give us more product for the same price. I know Victoria has eyeshadow sticks but I wish she would bring out more shades. If it makes you feel better I can tell when other reviewers are "sucker upers" and I don't trust them as much. I can tell when smaller chanels start small and then all of a sudden get PR and ALL the product they receive always gets 5 star reviews. I appreciate your thorough and honest reviews.
Hello, thank you so much! In one message you've answered my confusion, given some new suggestions (primers) and uplifted me ☺️ Thanks so much for watching, I really appreciate your comment 🙏❤️❤️❤️
I completely agree with every. 👏🏻Word. 👏🏻You. 👏🏻Said.👏🏻 I share your disappointment. I do think it’s upsetting that you aren’t featured more. Sometimes it feels like a popularity game. I remember when you reviewed the LE pencils and I was like, “oh no, these are going to be just like VB’s!” I didn’t buy any. I thought about it but in the end I skipped. I agree with the longevity problem. I can’t wear the VB in the water line at all. 😮😢 Thanks for being so honest and real!!! And not a suck up!!! 😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
Hey Tonya, I completely agree with you and I couldn’t have worded it better about the popularity game. It certainly feels like they have favourites, which is sad. Thanks so much for your support, I appreciate you! 😚♥️♥️♥️
I really like the color of the VB eye pencils but like you said, they don't stay for the whole day. I now use them as eyeshadow and when I finish them, I don't think I would buy them again.
I have yet to find an eyeliner that does not smudge on me and was considering VB because I heard so much good things about it but glad I watched your review! Do you know any pencil liner that recommended that is smudge proof ? Your options/ observations are totally valid and I hear you ! There is no need to sugarcoat everything and so Is it so important to share experiences and be honest. I’m sure many people including me appreciate content like this because most of the time we are bombarded with promo like reviews which gets very boring .
Hello Eiko, I hope you’re well 😊 Have you tried the Lancôme Le Stylo Waterproof one? I love the dark matte brown and slightly lighter shimmery brown shades. I use the matte one for my upper waterline and the shimmery one for my actual liner. You could visit their beauty counter to try it out and let me know what you think! Thanks so much for watching! ♥️♥️♥️
Hi, you may want to try Loreal Infallible Grip mechanical gel eye liner. Its drugstore and only around $11. I have an oily skin and this works for me well, no smudging which I was really amaze. I wanted to get the LE too but after all the reviews, I decided to just skip and stick to what works for me.
@@theeditbydh Hi Debra! Thank you so much for your recommendation 💕I have sensitive eyes so I tend to use organic products but they don’t last at all and smudge so I will give this a try 😊👍
I’m Team VB, I think LE designs for editorial looks that look great shortly after application, with vibrancy in color and for photography whereas VB designs for long wear as she wants something that’s going to last all night and if she’s caught by the paparazzi.
I love the Lisa Eldridge Makeup, but the eye liners are no good for me. I did get a refund, which is very good service. I like Surfside from Victoria Beckham as a very thin line/smudge for a pop of color for my pale skin and blue/green eyes. I really appreciate your honest and very useful reviews. I hope the LE Team can appreciate that as well. It’s a great quality of your channel.
Hello Maj 🙋🏻♀️ Yes, many people shared similar stories about returning their liners from LE but the customer service was very good in handling their concerns with a quick resolution. Thanks so much for watching and I hope you’re well! ♥️♥️♥️
I also have multiple Lisa Eldridges pencils. They fade on me. After a few hours, they are nearly gone. And I mean after 4 hrs. Applying feels great. Glide beautifully, but…not after that promise. Proven 16hrs wear? Never. 😂
So weird bc they last a long time on me! Idk if I’ve ever worn them for 16 hours, but I have for 12 and it’s still on. I guess it’s different for everyone!
It clearly performs differently on everyone in terms of longevity. You’re very lucky it lasts on you because the majority seem to find it doesn’t last. I’m envious of your lids 😂 xxx
Hello! I’ll definitely give it a try, thanks for the recommendation! I’d also recommend the Lancôme Le Stylo waterproof one. Thanks so much for watching ♥️♥️♥️
I am a HUGE Lisa cosmetics and HUGE VB cosmetics fan!!! I have many cosmetics from both but the LE eyeliners were NOT it worked as good as a maybelline liner it smudged and moved everywhere 😢 looking forward to future cosmetics from both though!
There really is no such thing as one size fits all…

As there is not a huge conglomerate behind her to deal with financial problems that will arise if people begin to think a product is not good…
Thanks for all this info - I’ve heard about some of this, but you summarized a lot about this industry and marketing in a fairly short paragraph - I think it’s fascinating - it fascinating how brands “re-sell” other products under their brand name - I wish I knew more about which companies do this bc I see it being ok sometimes or real predatory - I think we can tell which brands may be doing this, but marketing really clouds this information to consumers - I do love how LE made the recipe and owns the recipe of her cleanser … she does seem to really try to be original and own her ideas and products and has a unique vision for what she can make uniquely … which probably is why she releases just a few products each year - she’s made many products for other large brands, she probably wants to have her unique direction without restrictions - otherwise why bother, bc her own brand is a higher risk with leads resources compared to the large brands she’s worked for
I don’t own and VB products, but I’m kind of impressed since she basically started it as a celebrity… but she also seems to care more about her brand - partnering with AB and creating somewhat unique, curated items
I kind of wonder if LE and VB influenced each other about the eyeliner type- they “seem” to be good friends - I mean, I have no idea, but they say they’re good friends - the eyeliners are so similar -mots just a little theory I have that has no basis what-so-ever - but I kind of think it would be sweet
And you’re right -- formulation is everything - think about generic vs brand name medication - the active is the same, but the formulation does not work the same for all people - and of course… all cakes have basically the same ingredients- baking is an exact science - formulation, order of mixing, technique, and timing make huge huge differences
This is great information. Thank you for sharing it.

Thanks so much! 😘♥️♥️♥️

Great honest review of these two brands eye pencils.
Hi Amanda 🙋🏻♀️ Thanks so much! 🙏 I hope you’re well ♥️♥️♥️
Stay honest and genuine, I really distrust UA-camrs who say positive things about a product I’ve tried and know is terrible.
Hello! Yes, I agree and love her velvet lipsticks. They’re the OG products! 🙌 Thanks so much for watching! 🙏♥️♥️♥️

Will you consider making a top 3, or something like that, of budge proof eyeliners. Best for waterline etc.

Hello! I’m happy to hear the liners are working for some people. Thanks for watching! ♥️♥️♥️

Hi Yoceline, thanks so much! This is very encouraging and I really appreciate your support! Thank you ♥️♥️♥️
@@theeditbydhYou are doing well dear,don't worry too much.Have a blessed&delightful weekend ahead,Sending Love xx❤❤❤

I’m Team VB, I think LE designs for editorial looks that look great shortly after application, with vibrancy in color and for photography whereas VB designs for long wear as she wants something that’s going to last all night and if she’s caught by the paparazzi.
Hello, that’s a great comparison! Thanks for watching and commenting 🙏♥️♥️♥️
I love the Lisa Eldridge Makeup, but the eye liners are no good for me. I did get a refund, which is very good service. I hope the LE Team can appreciate that as well. It’s a great quality of your channel.

So weird bc they last a long time on me! Idk if I’ve ever worn them for 16 hours, but I have for 12 and it’s still on. I guess it’s different for everyone!
Hey, I agree. I’m not sure who they tested the 16 hour wear on, but I’m envious of them! 😅 Thanks so much for watching ♥️♥️♥️
