God I love this set of pieces. Wrote my dissertation on Sciarrino. He was very kind to allow me to interview him in Rome. He's as kind as his music is amazing.
Thank you so much for this. This is a monument of the violin rep, and it should be mandatory that all upper level undergrads play at least a few movements of this.
Fascinating atmosphere. It must be noted that this kind of work can only played in an area with exceptional reverb. A dry recording would make this unlistenable.
Thank you score follower . Sciarrino first came to my attention with a n unbelievably percussive , violent anxious piano piece i have loved him and want to read some theoretical works on him . His extended techniques and ideas are thrilling ! The harmonic Caprice on here is surely a challenge for most ! Wonderful to see the works on paper !The 3nd caprice is a more traditionally beautiful even lyrical experience.
hola, eres impresionante, la música es .... sin comparación, qué vas a comparar con esto?........ nada... y no soy nada más que alguien que reconoce la genialidad, gracias.. estaba harto de paganini
@@GUILLOM It sounds like the violin is dying. Edit: apart from the 2nd movement. That sounds like glorious modern music. The rest.. i don’t have a fucking clue
5:47 i cant believe someone transcribed me wiping rosin off my strings, such an honor!
Legend says that Sciarrino's body consists of 80% of harmonics and 20% water
The second movement must be one of the most beautiful pieces of contemporary classical music I’ve heard!
It is simply gorgeous. Simultaneously evocative of bird calls and space aliens. I did not know the violin was capable of making these sounds.
Try Enescu's _Impressions d'Enfance_ for more.
indeed !
Only th second
You should try then Reflejos de la noche, by Mario Lavista

Is your dissertation available to read online somewhere?
Thank you SO much, score follower! so happy to be here :)
Fantastica esecuzione Marco, complimenti.
no, thank YOU. Your performance of this work is fantastic!
Thank you for offering such a subtle and extraordinarily polished rendition of these marvelous pieces!
@@SeanPi314 The third movement at times does sound like polishing!
Marco, your interpretation is very good (and the recording-quality as well). Bravo.

hahaha
What do we learn from this? Harmonics are really frickin awesome!
Incredible!
すごい楽譜と演奏ですね。超絶技巧に、思わず聞き入ってしまいました。ストラビンスキーがポップスに聴こえてしまいます。
Fantastic video!
It is incredible that a violin can sound like that.
grazie mille c'è un piaciere ascoltare questi pezzi
So much emotion its violent and soothing at the same time also double harmonics are beautiful

#6 wouldn't even be audible
would it still work if you add reverb in post-production?
Musica stupenda!🌈
Beautiful!
I love love love his music!

The first movement sounds like wiping the car glass, but it is so funny to listen to.
the third movement sounds like someone cleaning rosin off their strings
I like the 2nd one :)

Thanks SO much....my 1st notice of this thanks to death of 84 yr old G Morck? today...dgunde viola, piano, organ, etc poet of SD CA
Love this
Are there any notes which are NOT harmonics?
this hurts
ok
good
This is improvisation with armónics
Does someone know what music font is this btw?
Mad birds fighting
Id really like to see how much of this i a done.
There is no way that this is played in the way that the composer wanted. He can’t even play the harmonics.
Nefirim's murmuring.
LMAOOO WHAT IS THIS

this is the true evil compared to Paganini and Wieniawski caprices

@@GUILLOM My ear just probably isn’t ready for this type of music.
@@stacia6678 Is not your ear, but your perception about music, and how you listen to contemporary music!
Painful amounts of harmonics
painful, I agree :)
This aint music, this is just experimentation with sound waves on a violin.
Kid
Why are you making a distinction between experimentation with sound waves on a musical instrument and music?
